The article Joe Clifford has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No proper notability claim. Likely autobiography.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. @ Doomsdayer520: When you have a moment, please circle back on this one. I've reinforced the ties to notable people, and the band meets a second criterion too. Rory1262 ( talk) 18:53, 28 August 2019 (UTC) reply
The process here is to wait for the deletion debate to run its course, and the final decision (made by an Administrator after seven days or so) will surely be to keep the article thanks to recent improvements. By the way, as seen in some other commentary on your page, I did not "try to delete" the article but put it up for discussion as possibly ineligible under the guidelines. I really have no personal interest in whether the article stays or not, but I am happy to see that the process led to some improvements. --- DOOMSDAYER520 ( Talk| Contribs) 15:15, 29 August 2019 (UTC) reply

Ways to improve Billy Conway (drummer)

Thanks for creating Billy Conway (drummer)! I edit here too, under the username Doomsdayer520 and it's nice to meet you :-)

I wanted to let you know that I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:-

Thank you for your new article on Billy Conway (drummer), but some of the article's content seems to be relevant for fans but not for the general reader. Consider removing some trivia, particularly the background histories of the bands that already have their own articles.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Doomsdayer520}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . For broader editing help, please visit the Teahouse.

Mike Eldred

Hello Rory1262 ( talk). I got your message request for an opinion on this subject's notability. As often stressed here, wikipedia notability is less about real-world notability/accomplishments than it is about showing proof of sources that are deemed "reliable" and "significant" by wikipedia's consensus-driven criteria. (BTW, I don't agree with all the sources that have been deemed notable, but--hey--what can one do?) Anyway, about the Mike Eldred sources, I think the LA Times article is the only one that passes muster. The rest of the coverage seem someone tangential or routine. Should it be nominated for deletion it's probably even more vulnerable for deletion than the John Bazz article. So good luck with your efforts to dig up the better sources for both subjects. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on S.K. Govern requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://sabr.org/bioproj/person/s-k-govern/. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. 2A01:4C8:A1:F08E:BD9A:CCD7:C7BA:DDA6 ( talk) 13:50, 27 August 2021 (UTC) reply

S.K. Govern moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, S.K. Govern, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. ( ?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed ( verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ASUKITE 14:58, 27 August 2021 (UTC) reply

In addition - I just wanted to note that since you said you're the author of the original content that was deleted for copyright infringement, if you follow the instructions at this page you can provide permission for us to use your content, but be mindful of our rules on conflict of interest - it will be easiest for you if you ensure the draft meets our sourcing standards ( WP:RS, WP:V, WP:N and WP:NPOV are all important) before submitting, then the article will be less likely to be deleted. Hope this helps. ASUKITE 15:01, 27 August 2021 (UTC) reply

Great job with a new page! Remember, if folks try and delete your old band pages for sourcing, check out the bullet points on WP:MUSICBIO to see if you can keep it safe. Only one of the criteria has to be met! OhioShmyo ( talk) 22:56, 20 August 2019 (UTC) reply

Ways to improve Billy Conway (drummer)

Hello, Rory1262,
