Misidentification

Hi. Your photo was a female, not a male, and you had identified it as a male. It may be sexually immature, in which case it is not possible to be certain which species it is - it is not an adult female of hesperus, and very clearly not a male. If you want to put photos of spiders into the Wikimedia Commons, you should consult an arachnologist before doing so, to make sure you have the IDs correct. Mistakes are easy to make, so you should be prepared to accept expert opinions; it is not a personal attack, but it is very important not to put misidentifications into a public forum seen by millions of people. In this case, it is either not hesperus, or it is immature, and in either case it should not be used in Wikipedia until and unless an arachnologist has provided a definitive ID.
