Managing a conflict of interest

Information icon Hello, Persian-art-and-culture. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Tarlan Rafiee, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. I am asking because you used a lot of inappropriate sources (like primary sources and interviews), and then proceeded to add this article to other language WPs after the warnings in the draft state. PigeonChickenFish ( talk) 23:09, 25 March 2024 (UTC) reply

Dear PigeonChickenFish,
Thank you for your message and for your edits on the article.
My sole interest in creating and enhancing this article, as well as editing and supplementing information in other articles related to Iranian modern and contemporary art, lies in the subject matter itself.
Despite the endeavours of Iranian artists, curators, writers, historians, and others, they have not been adequately introduced to a wider audience. Moreover, obtaining information about them, or at least reliable information for non-Iranians, proves to be exceedingly challenging.
This is precisely why I have undertaken the task of writing articles about Iranian curators and establishing a category dedicated to them—a category that was previously non-existent. Beginning with Rafiee, I initiated my article since she is a known Iranian curator recognized by international institutions engaged in Iranian modern and contemporary art, such as the British Museum and other institutions and museums referenced in the article.
Upon completion of her article under the guidance of professional editors such as yourself, my next endeavour will focus on another Iranian pivotal figure in curating.
Once again, I extend my gratitude for your guidance. Rest assured, I will furnish additional references for her.
Sincerely yours Persian-art-and-culture ( talk) 23:31, 27 March 2024 (UTC) reply

The article may be a good translation of the Persian but it is very brief. I suggest you at least rewrite the bullet-point section in running text. You can also find other useful sources, for example this biography from Arles and this review of Breathing Space. See what you can do.-- Ipigott ( talk) 08:30, 4 April 2024 (UTC) reply
