Your article is being deleted for failing two Wikipedia guidelines. One, summarized at WP:ATTRIBUTION, says essentially that groups whose notability is not established by reliable independent sources don't get articles. See also WP:BAND. The second is that Wikipedia is not a promotional tool. See WP:SPAM and WP:COI. So, it's not enough to say "This is a really neat band and I want to help them get more popular." A press release from this group's publisher is not an independent source. If there are other independent sources showing this group's notability, it's your job to put them in the article. It's not enough to post an unsourced article and say "The sources are out there, you can find them if you try." Again, see WP:ATTRIBUTION. NawlinWiki 17:38, 9 March 2007 (UTC) reply

Please read WP:ATTRIBUTION. It'll be a lot easier than me having to write it out verbatim in response to your questions. NawlinWiki 17:46, 9 March 2007 (UTC) reply

The Wikipedia policies are there for a reason: so that they can apply equally to everyone without individual editors having to give their own interpretations. If you can't take the time to click the links and read the encyclopedia's policies, you shouldn't be posting articles. NawlinWiki 17:58, 9 March 2007 (UTC) reply

Proposed deletion of Funtastic!

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Funtastic!, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

Fails WP:BAND, One incoming link.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also " What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{ dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay.
