  On the last Sunday of every month, the Boardroom at Ace Hotel New York hosts Action Equals History — a unique opportunity for New Yorkers to learn hands-on in a technology training/workshop session about the mechanics, practices and benefits of Wikipedia and the Wikimedia projects. This is an opportunity for all to gather, share and work collectively towards a more robust account of history. For this month, we'll focus on Wikipedia casual editing, ways to use and develop Wikidata, building better edit-a-thon tools for a variety of different thematic campaigns, and user-testing them with the community. Towards a goal of advancing these tools for wider use with diverse local groups.

I just saw your picture of File:Montauk station and yard.jpg from 2017, and I was almost in shock over how little snow there was. When Anguel, my dad and I recently went out West to see the eclipse, we went down an awful lot of I-15, from Butte to Salt Lake City. I took a fair amount of roadscapes from the passenger seat of our rented car, because it occurred to me that you would have been doing the same thing.
The one I had most in mind, for myself as much as you, was the Exit 0 sign right before you cross from Montana into Idaho (the first time I've ever crossed a state line in a road vehicle in the West, believe it or not). I knew if you were along with us, you would have gotten pictures (this one isn't perfect, but it will do). Round 4 of the WikiCup has ended and we move forward into the final round. In round 4, a total of 12 FAs, 3 FLs, 44 GAs, 3 FLs, 79 DYKs, 1 ITN and 42 GARs was achieved, with no FPs or FTs this time. Congratulations to Peacemaker67 on the Royal Yugoslav Navy Good Topic of 36 items, and the 12 featured articles achieved by Cas Liber (5), Vanamonde93 (3), Peacemaker67 (2), Adityavagarwal (1) and 12george1 (1). With a FA scoring 200 points, and bonus points available on top of this, FAs are likely to feature heavily in the final round. Meanwhile Yellow Evan, a typhoon specialist, was contributing 12 DYKs and 10 GAs, while Adityavagarwal and Freikorp topped the GAR list with 8 reviews each. As we enter the final round, we are down to eight contestants, and we would like to thank those of you who have been eliminated for the useful contributions you have made to the Cup and Wikipedia. The lowest score needed to reach round 5 was 305, and I think we can expect a highly competitive final round.
Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 4 but before the start of round 5 can be claimed in round 5. Remember too that you must claim your points within 10 days of "earning" them. Ny 206 is a main route as it is part of the former Catskill turnpike and has many signs on i 88 showing ny 206 and state parks. I finally got myself up there on Monday. While it is a very short distance from where you can park, it is not an easy walk, at least not this time of year (if you want to go straight to it ... there's a lot of tall grass, and no one from this region walks through tall grass with their legs exposed without a very good reason, like you have to save someone who's dying). But I figured out how, even though it was not pleasant in our extended summer and its highly unusual near-90 temps at this time of year, after the equinox (Fortunately it looks like this weekend fall will get underway). It would probably be more advisable to do it in cooler weather.
It's still very obviously a speedway oval, like the aerial picture suggests. I took some pictures, yes, but haven't been able to upload them yet (or, FTM, copy edit the Allendale station article, though I did print it out and go through it with a red pen).   The Wikipedia Asian Month Edit-a-thon @ The Met will be the Metropolitan Museum of Art's second edit-a-thon, hosted on Sunday November 19, 2017 in the Bonnie Sacerdote Classroom, Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education (81st Street entrance) at The Met Fifth Avenue in New York City. Following the first Met edit-a-thon in May 2017, the museum is excited to work with Wikipedia Asian Month for the potential to seed new articles about Asian artworks, artwork types, and art traditions, from any part of Asia. These can be illustrated with thousands of its recently-released images of public domain artworks available for Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons from the museum’s collection spanning 5,000 years of art. The event is an opportunity for Wikimedia communities to engage The Met's diverse Asian collections onsite and remotely.
Attendees should bring their own laptops and power cords. Light snacks, drinks and cake will be provided. We also welcome remote participation for the global online Wikipedia Asian Art Month, running November 1-30. Hello, Mitchazenia. Voting in the 2017 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 10 December. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

I found on an old commercial map some no-longer-extant county routes in Hunterdon County, NJ and in doing a Google search, found this article detailing a 1981 road transfer. I've seen on other highway articles you've been able to get full snippets of Newspaper.com articles for use in inline references, are you able to get a snippet of this article for me to reference in these additions to the Hunt. On the last Sunday of every month, the Boardroom at Ace Hotel New York hosts Action Equals History — a unique opportunity for New Yorkers to learn hands-on in a technology training/workshop session about the mechanics, practices and benefits of Wikipedia and the Wikimedia projects. This is an opportunity for all to gather, share and work collectively towards a more robust account of history. For this month, we'll focus on Wikipedia casual editing, ways to use and develop Wikidata, building better edit-a-thon tools for a variety of different thematic campaigns, and user-testing them with the community. Towards a goal of advancing these tools for wider use with diverse local groups.

I just saw your picture of File:Montauk station and yard.jpg from 2017, and I was almost in shock over how little snow there was. When Anguel, my dad and I recently went out West to see the eclipse, we went down an awful lot of I-15, from Butte to Salt Lake City. I took a fair amount of roadscapes from the passenger seat of our rented car, because it occurred to me that you would have been doing the same thing.
The one I had most in mind, for myself as much as you, was the Exit 0 sign right before you cross from Montana into Idaho (the first time I've ever crossed a state line in a road vehicle in the West, believe it or not). I knew if you were along with us, you would have gotten pictures (this one isn't perfect, but it will do). Round 4 of the WikiCup has ended and we move forward into the final round. In round 4, a total of 12 FAs, 3 FLs, 44 GAs, 3 FLs, 79 DYKs, 1 ITN and 42 GARs was achieved, with no FPs or FTs this time. Congratulations to Peacemaker67 on the Royal Yugoslav Navy Good Topic of 36 items, and the 12 featured articles achieved by Cas Liber (5), Vanamonde93 (3), Peacemaker67 (2), Adityavagarwal (1) and 12george1 (1). With a FA scoring 200 points, and bonus points available on top of this, FAs are likely to feature heavily in the final round. Ny 206 is a main route as it is part of the former Catskill turnpike and has many signs on i 88 showing ny 206 and state parks. Beginning in September 2017, the Wikimedia Foundation Anti-harassment tool team will be conducting a survey to gauge how well tools, training, and information exists to assist English Wikipedia administrators in recognizing and mitigating things like sockpuppetry, vandalism, and harassment.
The survey should only take 5 minutes, and your individual response will not be made public. This survey will be integral for our team to determine how to better support administrators.

I finally got myself up there on Monday. While it is a very short distance from where you can park, it is not an easy walk, at least not this time of year (if you want to go straight to it ... there's a lot of tall grass, and no one from this region walks through tall grass with their legs exposed without a very good reason, like you have to save someone who's dying). But I figured out how, even though it was not pleasant in our extended summer and its highly unusual near-90 temps at this time of year, after the equinox (Fortunately it looks like this weekend fall will get underway). It would probably be more advisable to do it in cooler weather.
It's still very obviously a speedway oval, like the aerial picture suggests. I took some pictures, yes, but haven't been able to upload them yet (or, FTM, copy edit the Allendale station article, though I did print it out and go through it with a red pen). The Wikipedia Asian Month Edit-a-thon @ The Met will be the Metropolitan Museum of Art's second edit-a-thon, hosted on Sunday November 19, 2017 in the Bonnie Sacerdote Classroom, Ruth and Harold D. Uris Center for Education (81st Street entrance) at The Met Fifth Avenue in New York City. Following the first Met edit-a-thon in May 2017, the museum is excited to work with Wikipedia Asian Month for the potential to seed new articles about Asian artworks, artwork types, and art traditions, from any part of Asia. These can be illustrated with thousands of its recently-released images of public domain artworks available for Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons from the museum’s collection spanning 5,000 years of art. The event is an opportunity for Wikimedia communities to engage The Met's diverse Asian collections onsite and remotely.
Attendees should bring their own laptops and power cords. Light snacks, drinks and cake will be provided. We also welcome remote participation for the global online Wikipedia Asian Art Month, running November 1-30. All users who registered an account before Saturday, 28 October 2017, made at least 150 mainspace edits before Wednesday, 1 November 2017 and are not currently blocked are eligible to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.
The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

I found on an old commercial map some no-longer-extant county routes in Hunterdon County, NJ and in doing a Google search, found this article detailing a 1981 road transfer. I've seen on other highway articles you've been able to get full snippets of Newspaper.com articles for use in inline references, are you able to get a snippet of this article for me to reference in these additions to the Hunt. And so ends the first round of the competition, with 4 points required to qualify for round 2. With 53 contestants qualifying, the groups for round 2 are slightly smaller than usual, with the two leaders from each group due to qualify for round 3 as well as the top sixteen remaining users.

Aoba47 led the field with a featured article, 8 good articles and 42 GARs, giving a total of 666 points.

FrB.TG , a WikiCup newcomer, came next with 600 points, gained from a featured article and masses of bonus points.

Ssven2, another WikiCup newcomer, was in third place with 403 points, garnered from a featured article, a featured list, a good article and twelve GARs.

Cartoon network freak all had over 200 points, but like all the other contestants, now have to start again from scratch. A good achievement was the 193 GARs performed by WikiCup contestants, comparing very favourably with the 54 GAs they achieved.
Remember that any content promoted after the end of round 1 but before the start of round 2 can be claimed in round 2. Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews.

You are invited to join the Wikimedia NYC community for our monthly "WikiWednesday" evening salon (7-9pm) and knowledge-sharing workshop at Babycastles gallery by 14th Street / Union Square in Manhattan. We will include a look at the organization and planning for our chapter, and expanding volunteer roles for both regular Wikipedia editors and new participants. We will also follow up on plans for recent and upcoming edit-a-thons, museum and library projects, education initiatives, and other outreach activities. We welcome the participation of our friends from the Free Culture movement and from all educational and cultural institutions interested in developing free knowledge projects. After the main meeting, pizza/chicken/vegetables and refreshments and video games in the gallery!
