Please do not add the Norwegian Wikipedia as a "source" for this article. The English article is a translation of the Norwegian one, so this is essentially a circular reference. The article needs references from other, non-Wikipedia sources. pablo hablo. 07:03, 26 February 2009 (UTC) reply

Proposed deletion of Norwegian Association for Clinical Sexology

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Norwegian Association for Clinical Sexology, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

NO evidence of notability, and five Google hits [1] says something.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also " What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{ dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of Thore Langfeldt

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Thore Langfeldt, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also " What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{ dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

I have nominated Thore Langfeldt, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Thore Langfeldt. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

A tag has been placed on Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Argyll ( talk) 18:37, 31 March 2009 (UTC) reply

Proposed deletion of Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Insurgency: Modern Infantry Combat, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

previously deleted once under this name, and 5 times under the name Insurgency (mod). NO notability as a third party mod, recreated by fans as fancruft!

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also " What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Hi MiniDude, I see that you've re-established this article. Could you take the time to read two core policies, WP:NPOV and WP:V? The contents of this article need be written in a neutral tone, with material drawn from indepdent sources. Also, without multiple substantial, independent coverage (reviews in game magazines, etc) the subject is better off subsumed into a broader article - hence the redirect (see WP:N, particularly footnote #4). I'm not saying Wikipedia shouldn't cover this mod at all, it won two awards after all. But AFAIKT there's not enough third-party coverage to support a seperate article. 00:21, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of EdgeGamers™ Organization

A tag has been placed on EdgeGamers™ Organization requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Replaceable fair use File:Mohammed Fellah.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Mohammed Fellah.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{ di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The leftorium 15:33, 26 April 2010 (UTC) reply

Hi! :) The reason I nominated File:Mohammed Fellah.jpg for deletion is because it's a non-free image, which basically means the copyright does not belong to Wikipedia. Wikipedia's goal is to be a free content encyclopedia, and we should therefore strive to avoid non-free images when possible. The image of Mohammed Fellah should be deleted per our non-free content criteria, which states: "Non-free content is used only where no free equivalent is available, or could be created, that would serve the same encyclopedic purpose." In this case, a free image of Fellah could be created by, for example, a fan taking a picture of him. I hope that clears things up a little. :) The leftorium 15:59, 26 April 2010 (UTC) reply

No, that image is copyrighted by VG Nett ("Kopiering av materiale fra VG Nett for bruk annet sted er ikke tillatt uten avtale" from the bottom of this page). License tagging for File:EyeDivine.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:EyeDivine.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia.
