An editor has nominated the template Template:Infobox Wisconsin State Highway ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs) for deletion, under the templates for deletion process. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the nomination. Your opinions on why the topic of the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome: participate in the discussion by editing Wikipedia:Templates for deletion/Log/2006 July 21. Add four tildes like this ˜˜˜˜ to sign your comments. You can also edit the article Template:Infobox Wisconsin State Highway ( | talk | history | links | watch | logs) during the discussion, but do not remove the "Template for Deletion" template (the box at the top of the template); this will not end the deletion debate. You can edit the one in my user space as much as you desire to make it better. I do not mind one bit. I'm not sure what you mean by consistency - every subtemplate has a different link so that the subtemplate can be edited. By changing them all to "NC", that broke the edit links for every template and allows only one subtemplate, "NC" to be edited. -- TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 17:21, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Wait, I think I see what you meant - you wanted to make the edit/history/watch links consistent across all of the templates. You forgot to change the links to the correct target, however. Still, I appreciate the effort. -- TMF Let's Go Mets - Stats 17:24, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
I don't want to force a state to comply with IBR, although it would be encouraged. A taskforce might be a good idea... Interstate and U.S. Routes are actually based off IBR (if you look at the coding, that's where it leads) I'm not sure what county routes use (I know one of the WP:CACR ones uses IBR)... But yeah we p[robably should get this addressed. -- Rschen7754 ( talk - contribs) 18:53, 10 November 2006 (UTC)
Could you look over the shields that you have created for SD. I have fixed quite a few. On some you forgot to convert the text to path. Most of them show the lines when you made the background of the shields. Also, could you resize the images, you made them quite huge. 385px x 385px is a good size for 2 digit signs and 385px x 480px are good for 3 digit signs. Also, you have Nebraska on all them, looks like a simple copy/paste error. Thanks. -- Holderca1 23:15, 18 November 2006 (UTC)
The style was not fine. It had a large amount of random background colouring, and didn't use the infobox class. ed g2s • talk 20:56, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Eh, possibly; but focusing on that seems a little premature at this point. I think it would be more productive to consider that to be a heat-of-the-moment thing, and to concentrate on discussing the layout of the template, rather than turning this into a full-blown ArbCom-worthy conduct dispute. (For the time being, anyways; I'm obviously assuming that the revert war won't continue here.) Kirill Lokshin 21:36, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree, the whole I-94 set of articles is a disaster. Umm... here's my thoughts:
I know it's repeating information, but after initial setup, it shouldn't be that bad, and it shouldn't require any sort of template inclusions to try to make it more efficient. If an exit is added to the Tri-State, the fix is made on two articles.
Anyways, that's how I thought about proceeding. — Rob ( talk) 22:56, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

I would like to request a shield for Iowa Highway 965. I made a png a while ago, but it never got made into an svg. -- Station Attendant 17:24, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
I suppose including the U.S. and Interstate routes at the bottom of the list would be okay. Actually, it seems like a good idea now. But I'm not sure I like having the U.S. and Interstates in the routebox navigation bar. It says "Minnesota State Highways" directly above that, so it looks strange to have a U.S. route pop up there, especially since there are some cases where the routes numbers are duplicated.
Also, on some of the routes that were renumbered to another highway in their entirety, I have redirected and tried to make note of the old route in the new route's article.
There are a few svg images that still need to be made. I thought I had gone through and put every state highway ever in use on that list long ago, but I guess I didn't. Anything with a blank new-style shield next to it on the list needs a svg. However, there are cases where there are two (or three!) decommissioned routes on one number. For example, Highway 17 had three different routes, all used in different eras and therefore different shields. On Highway 116, I used the old shield because the later route was a temporary designation. Let me know what you think about this.
One last thing: Would you say the MN-218 article I have been working on in userspace is an acceptable article? I don't want to stick that out there if there's a chance it will attract more deletion debates. -- Sable232 18:20, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
I was going to start creating articles for some of the red linked Iowa Highways, but I didn't want to have them all sent to AFD. Are all of the highways listed on the list of Iowa Highways notable enough to have an article? Also, I started one for Iowa 105 (Decommissioned) at my sandbox (Last time I made an article for a decommissioned highway it raised a ruckus). Could you take a look at it for me, then I will move it to a separate article. -- Station Attendant 22:50, 25 February 2007 (UTC)

I noticed you've been replacing the historic shields with the modern blue ones. This can't happen. It's misleading to put the modern shield on an article when the highway was decommissioned long before that style was used. In that case I see it as better to have no shield at all than an incorrect one, but I still don't see what the problem with mine is. -- Sable232 14:10, 28 March 2007 (UTC)
Regarding [2] and [3], whether you've "seen worse" is irrelevant. These photos are of very poor quality, and don't really add anything of encyclopedic value (compared to overhead views, etc). Here, as well as probably in every other Wisc. Highways articles, you created a problem... I've fixed it in the Hwy 183 [4] and 184 [5] articles, but I don't have time to go through and fix all of them. As you can see, your changes to the URLs have left them malformed (the # has been removed, resulting in urls that point to pages/files that no browser could recognize; the directory is misnamed ("listing" instead of "listings", as it should be), and the pages/filenames are misnamed (They now say "WiscHighways" instead of the correct "WiscHwys"). If I knew how to use AWB, I'd go ahead and fix it myself...while I toss about looking for the time to learn, tho, "someone" really should fix the problems...

Hello, Master son. Due to the high number of inactive users at WP:USRD, we are asking that you verify that you are still an active contributor of the project. To do so, please add an asterisk (*) after your name on Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Newsletter/List. Users without one by the next issue in 2 weeks will be removed off the list and off the respective road projects as well. If you have any questions, please contact me on my talk page. Thanks. I hope you don't mind, but I did alter the image you created for West Virginia road stubs. (WestVirginia-road-stub). Because our standard shield is so boring (and can be confused with other states), I have created a silhouette image of the State's borders and centered it within the shield. If you really don't like it (for any reason), please feel free to move it and accept my apologies. I'm a WV and I've never liked the shield design. Mphamilton 22:58, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

Hey - thanks for the revert of the vandalism on my talk page, and no worries about the accidental warning. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 08:55, 31 March 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia is not and indiscriminate collection of information, and that includes crappy photos. Not a dog 20:54, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

On User:Master son/pageTop, the 'Tools' Image link leads you to an edit page and not the actual page, oh and by the way, did you use my AMD Sempron Processor Userbox and change it to be an AMD Turion ? Rugby471 14:15, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
No No, don't worry, I just wanted to know :-)
I think I will do that, currently I am just asking for the other AMD Userboxes' Creators if that is OK BTW for your sig, you don't need to type the code in all the time, you can just use {{ User:Master son/sig}} like this ' • master_son Talk - Edits ' Rugby471 17:35, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Done ! I've just finished the AMD UBX, it is located here ! As you may have seen, i've added a notice to your particular AMD UBX to say that it has been made obselete by the new one, if you have any problems with this, please contact me ! :-) Rugby471 09:09, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
