Hello Magnolia677, Thank you for providing me with the information regarding paid contributors and COI. I am relatively new to editing Wikipedia pages and I want to make sure I comply with the necessary requirements. To ensure that Robert Sprague's information is not removed or altered without valid reasoning, I want to make sure that all Wikipedia guidelines are followed. Is this the proper way to list myself as a paid contributor:

Thanks again for messaging me with the helpful information, I would like to make sure that the page is properly edited and updated.

Hello Magnolia677,
I am new to Wikipedia so I hope I'm using this correctly as intended...
I noticed you deleted my changes for undue weight. I went through and looked up exactly that meant. I'm guessing you believe I went into too much detail. Is there another way I should publish this information or a way I can get it onto the Scranton, Pa page without being taken down? I know there is a very active community of what are known as 'fire buffs' who love this kind of information. Is there a way I can add this information to Wikipedia? I feel as though it was adequately sourced and redirected to all appropriate articles for more information. What do you think?
Respectfully, AnthonyJohn.Romeo ( talk) 13:58, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello Again,
I added citations to my info as well as a link to the Scranton fire Dept's Wikipedia article. Please review it for me and let me know what you think/needs improvement! I wish I could get a hold of the book for the complete history, but unfortunately the library is closed for the COVID-19 social distancing protocols. I'm still new to all this so I hope I'm doing well at this stage. [1] Respectfully, AnthonyJohn.Romeo ( talk) 13:16, 27 March 2020 (UTC)

Hi Magnolia677,
I noticed you undid some of my edits on some cities' infoboxes. I know you asked my rationale on my talk page, I appreciate you messaging me however I was wondering something. Did these revisions you made come about because I didn't include an edit summary or because you disagree with my edits? I understand that the "Regions" subdivision is not administrative, however since I did include a link to US regions in general and then to the region the city was located in that this provides some additional context for the city/town. As far as I understand the infobox is supposed to be be a summary of both statistics, historical, and geographical information. I really do think that adding information such as regions helps provide the reader with a deeper context. Thoughts? Tpwissaa ( talk) 23:48, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
Hello, Magnolia677,
I believe that Wikipedia should always provide objective information and an unbiased opinion.
The article, which you are talking about, contains potentially misleading information.
In particular, in the Criticism section, it is stated that the satellite mode of Yandex.Maps is not as detailed as Google Maps. This statement is backed up by a reference (website), which I visited so as to make sure this info was true. Judging by the style of the article, along with all the grammar mistakes it contained, I considered this source not sufficiently reliable.
Therefore, I placed a citation needed template so as to demand further support of the statement. Note that I did not delete it, as you claim.
I really apologise if any of my actions offended you in any way or made you feel angry. After all, we want to help each other, don't we?
PS, I did specify the reason of my edit in the edit summary, contrary to your accusation that I did not.

You reverted my edits of the history of the Wendover cutoff - twice. I am a current member of the Lincoln Highway Association and have driven several of the roads in question. The history of the cutoff, the Goodyear Cutoff (contained within the present day Dugway Proving Grounds), and the original Pony Express route - and the controversy between the LHA (of the day) and the State of Utah is quite well known and has been documented in many places.
Please don't revert others work unless you know it is factually incorrect. Wws ( talk) 20:20, 1 April 2020 (UTC)

Hello Magnolia677.
I'm very ashamed to earn a caution on my first day doing something on Wikipedia! I'm rubbish at editing Html. Really sorry. Was doing my best. I was just outraged when I read that Unit 29 had been closed. It hasn't been closed. I felt I had to correct this. And while I was at it, make clear that there remain major concerns about the place, as evidenced by the concerns raised both in the Department of Health inspection and in the ongoing Department of Justice investigation. I felt that the existing text deliberately obscured this.
I (reluctantly) sourced the page I wrote myself because it is actually the only place I know where the 2019 Department of Health Report is actually available to the public. Although the document is public domain and there is a link to it on the DoH website which I cite first, the 2019 report will not download from that link (I think because it has a hundred pages of photos and is too big). I have contacted the DoH about this and got no reply. Our blog page therefore simply reproduced bitmapped images of every page of that report and the all the photographs, with a factual breakdown of the contents and minimum commentary at the top, to make them available to the public, which they should be). — Preceding unsigned comment added by CarlyRheilan ( talk • contribs) 00:45, 2 April 2020 (UTC)
Hello; Recently you made some cleanup changes to the Palm Springs, California article. Thank you for the updates. The article was much improved. One deletion you made was the alternate name of the city used by the Cahuilla Indians. Because every other square mile of the city is part of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians reservation, I believe it is an important aspect of the city that should be mentioned in the introduction. You seem to be better acquainted with WP guidelines than I. Would you please review the changes I made to the articles opening paragraphs. Thank you. OvertAnalyzer ( talk) 16:38, 3 April 2020 (UTC)
@ Magnolia677: I did add part of that deletion back, but not in the first sentence. It is towards the last part of the first paragraph, but I put it in the context of the fact that half of the City of Palm Springs is part of the Agua Caliente Indian reservation. I view the Native American influence, and the reservation, as two important aspects of the city. Given that every other square mile of the city, in a checkerboard pattern, is part of their reservation, and the Native American people lived in the area long before Palm Springs was founded, their relevance to the city is substantial. They still refer to the area as Sec-He. As an example, they are developing a new spa in downtown Palm Springs called The Spa At Sec-He, not The Spa at Palm Springs. I agree the article should not attempt to describe the Cahuilla history as part of this article. My intent is to describe their relationship to the city as it is today, since they do represent a large part of the city. Hope that makes sense.
@ Magnolia677: I think I understand your point. I don't have a way of reviewing the original references that were provided in October, 2017, but it is hard to find many uses of the word Sec-He, or it's various spellings. In fact I have a book, "Cahuilla Dictionary", and it says the word for water is pa'-l and warm water is pa'-l si'wis is hot water. There are a number of references in the Palm Springs Historical Society's archives, but I don't have a way to access those online. Possibly some time in the future when this virus trouble is over. I am going to start a conversation on the Palm Springs talk page to get some additional feedback. OvertAnalyzer ( talk) 01:31, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
Hi @ Magnolia677:
I hope that I'm doing this correctly, I'm relatively new to editing wikipedia (started doing this due to downtime from COVID-19) so apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong way. I sort of understand why you deleted Mr. Volpe's daughter as it's not mentioned in the link I sourced, however the interview literally talks about them living in Manhattan and Sarasota - it's even titled Metropolitan Opera General Manager relocates to Sarasota. What else would be needed? Also, and this isn't meant to sound rude, but why is it so necessary to provide a source to the fact that he has a daughter with Jean? It's basic common knowledge. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Petrouska ( talk • contribs) 01:15, 4 April 2020 (UTC)
Also, out of curiosity, why did you change Mr.Volpe's entry in Sarasota from former general manager to general manager? I'm just curious if that is a formatting thing or something else, as he is obviously not the current General Manager of the Met. And again, rather than going back and forth on the Sarasota page, why have you removed Iain Webb? None of the other people have sources, why does he? Petrouska ( talk) 01:21, 4 April 2020 (UTC)

I do not get the reason why administrators are removed from Midland Avenue Collegiate Institute no. 677. Based on the TDSB and the Ontario Ministry Documents, even though you said "Removed admin, superintendent, trustees from infobox; school closed 20 years ago and is leased out", in other words, Midland is a core holding school. So closed school buildings that are still owned by the school district are classified as core holdings by the board must have a trustee and superintendent in the infobox.
To confirm via the documents:
In other words, this school building since 2001, is currently being used actually by other TDSB programs and services. They reopened it fully in September 2010 to house Scarborough Centre for Alternative Studies, though parts of the building are being used as mention above.

I'm not sure if this message will get to you as I can't seem to grasp this interface. Thanks you for providing a link to Wikimedia for those images. I think you may be very busy and I appreciate the effort you put into Wikipedia. You included boilerplate regarding the use of images. I must point out that every single image I posted to the Darwin page was shot and placed into Wikimedia Commons by myself, copyright free. This took hours to do, along with other photos not of Darwin. I also have images on the Nopah Range page that are original and the only ones at Wikimedia that show the Range from the ground. I have not used a single image from anyone else nor do I have any plans to. I travelled extensively throughout the Southwest for the last few years on a book project and can release a large number of original photos. I have written magazine articles for international, national, and regional publications. As well as local newspaper articles. It is unthinkable that I would ever use someone else's work unless they explicitly granted permission and then only if my editor would accept their release. Just FYI. Thank you for the work you do. Hi, Magnolia, I'm afraid I found your reversions on the arts section of this article excessive. It is your judgment that several of the authors and artists involved are non-notable. I found plenty of mentions of them on the web although not always in connection with Lovelock. Buck Nimy was though, in a book I found on Nevada, and if Maggie Remington was in a several news feeds, I would have judged that she belongs too. What you had reduced the section to was little better than a list, where guidelines suggest that material "should usually be entirely reworked into the main flow of the article" so as to avoid becoming a trivia magnet.
As you see, I'm happy to discuss and arrive at an agreed solution. I should mention that I have been editing on WP longer than you, and as it happens editing the article in question too, though back then before a change of name. Sweetpool50 ( talk) 17:22, 30 April 2020 (UTC)

Hi, I was struggling a bit with the citation method in Wikipedia so it's likely that some of them did not appear.
In any case I will look again at the text and find where the original citations state some of the information I quoted. For others I will have to obtain more original documents. In many interviews in Italian there is a lot of information but one has to listen carefully.
Also, it may annoy some readers, but as an automotive engineer with experience in McLaren, I am able to refute quite an amount of existing wikipedia info which is, shall we say factually untrue, but posted in various articles nonetheless. For example when I talk about Benedini not having done as much of the Bugatti EB110 styling as documented, I know I am correct but unfortunately the media over time has hyped a number of things. So for this reason I will find images of other Gandini prototypes that prove this. For other things like the ownership of various turbo engines designs by Materazzi, again I guess the ultimate proof will be in some drawings on paper since not enough articles talk about this.
when I have knowledge from inside the industry, in many ways the articles online seem unfaithful to the truth. Like for example that Senna helped develop the Honda NSX. All over the web but factually untrue. So for the edits what I will do is specify at which part of a video or paragraph my statement relates to. And if there is no web article probably I will have to post images of locations or drawings "as they are" rather than as they are quoted in the media. The media says many things.. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leknightclub ( talk • contribs) 18:03, 4 May 2020 (UTC)

Respectfully disagree with your decision to revert my edits. In my view, MOS:FORLANG does not apply in the case of either jurisdiction as English has as much weight in both as any of the other official language used there. Likewise disagree with the contention that WP:REDUNDANCY applies here as the names in Inuvialuktun and Inuvialuktun differ considerably.
Moreover, as I mentioned in my edit comments the inclusion of multiple names for subnational sovereignties is standard practice on articles for other countries, including those where English is a national/regional language. Some examples include: Western Cape, Central Luzon, Free State and Nunavut.

Noticed your revert, I agree. You probably didn't read my message about repetitive sentence structure of the 1st and 4th paragraphs of: /info/en/?search=Hilton_Head_Island,_South_Carolina#Demographics
It states the number of households twice. Wouldn't you rather edit the fourth paragraph to begin with 'Of the area's households...' or some other non-repetitive formation than, first paragraph: 'As of the census of 2010, there were 37,099 people, 16,535 households...'; fourth paragraph: 'There were 16,535 households...'? I'm only pointing this out for you, if your preference is for it to read repetitive, then leave it in Ncsr111 ( talk) 19:38, 13 May 2020 (UTC)

For the Template: Claiborne County, Mississippi "ghost town" section, the link to Grand Gulf takes you to the article about the military park. Obviously would confirm the information prior to placing it in the new article, or I would just pull information from different resources. If not, what would you recommend? Thanks! Thanks, Magnolia677, for reverting my changes. I am trying to adhere to the rules, but I'm a newbie, and the procedures are not familiar to me. As you can tell, I am trying to establish an entry for an individual, Joseph Magnani, who does not yet have an English-language Wikipedia page. (one exists in German). I initially wanted only to note that he was a native of the Illinois towns, but read that a "notable person" cannot be linked until that person has a page. So I researched him an created a page. But I did not realized that the page must be final (and not just draft) before the other links can be made. Your note to me said that a page I made appeared to be a test and it was deleted. I am not sure what this means. Was this the page I was attempting to create for Joseph Magnani? I have submitted it for review and can wait for its approval (up to six weeks?) and will then re-do the other edits, if that is how I should proceed. But I just wanted to ask for your help to understand whether my draft page for him still exists or not. Sorry if this is not the proper place to ask. Using the "talk page" is also new to me. @ Magnolia677 - Thanks. Yes, I researched the facts that I cited in the brief bio page I drafted and referenced the sources. After reading WP:BIO again, I believe my draft page meets the requirements. I'll await review. Daniel MJD ( talk) 23:47, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Added John Walker back to list of notables after finding reference saying he was "raised" in Scranton. Seems the extended family originated from Scranton. Other sources also place him in Scranton living with his mother and brothers. Not sure about dozens of other notables on the Scranton page. Many of them don't seem to have any connection with Scranton at all. Thoughts? EdJF ( talk) 22:21, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello! The US cenzus was very incorrect. Firstly you could express like a Yugoslav, like a nation from a country that doesn't exist 20+ years. There are 300,000 Yugoslavs, that are mostly Serbians, so keep that in mind, that is also written on other wiki sites. Then, I don't know how well you are familiar with the fact that on the cenzus a lot of Bosnians are additional Serbians. And add some Serbians also from Croatia and Montenegro. It is written on many wiki sites that the number is much and significately higher, I don't know what is your problem. In Chicago there are alone 250,000- 350,000 ethnic Serbs(Serbians). You can know that just by the churces, restaurants etc.. Anyway, thanks. Kradja333 ( talk) 23:20, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
I am unsure why you nominated the page I created The Hollow Reed for speedy deletion. Can you help me understand? The page is about a 1970s restaurant that closed in the 1980s. The citations demonstrate The Hollow Reed restaurant's influence on the city of Portland, Maine's restaurant culture decades after the restaurant closed. I have added more quotations to the article from the five citations that demonstrate notability that I had previously included on the article along with one historical citation for the location. Maybe this may help? I appreciate any help for me to understand. BrikDuk ( talk) 23:34, 18 May 2020 (UTC)

1) Does that increase her notability?
2) If not, would being named to the list from the more than 1,000 entries make her notable, especially if papers other than the Sarnia Observer ran with the story? Or Forbes itself?

Hi Magnolia677
Thank you for the information in your talk about the Carl Sandburg NHS page. You deleted a one-sentence addition that included names of the recent writers who were part of the Writer-in-Residence program. You mentioned that you felt that this was out of the scope of the page - which I can see that argument. But I am not sure why you reported it as being non-verifiable when there were 1-2 citations per writer.
Thank you for taking the time to provide additional feedback so I can understand.
I am not affiliated with anything, but I do live about 15 minutes from the Carl Sandburg NHS, so I go there often to walk. I am a fan of poetry, and I am passionate about recognizing contemporary poets who are often overlooked in their notability.
Perhaps I should create an article specifically on the Carl Sandburg Writer-In-Residence Program. What do you think of that idea? JeremyAGibbs ( talk) 12:01, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
Carl Sandburg was a poet himself, so I do feel that the WIR program is a significant element of the National Historic Site. Most of their community events are connected to local writers.

I included the lifespans of the people on the list of Notable people at North Bay, Ontario. Some of these people are alive, some are dead. Their life span indicates what time these people were notable, and reveals something of the history of North Bay. I have accessed that information from the wikipedia pages on these people.
Are you suggesting that we can only include those dates if we repeat the references from the linked wikipedia pages. Are you suggesting that for every list of people, "Notable people", "People with this Surname" &c,. we can only include any information if we reference it on the secondary page. You removed dates because you say they are not referenced adequately. The list at North Bay assumes that the people have a connection to North Bay, there are no references for this on the North Bay Notable people list. The notable people list mentions their occupation/reason for notability, this is unreferenced. Therefore by your logic, unless each name on that list has a reference on that page for their connection to North Bay, and for their reason of notability, there should be no listing. The Notable People on that that page don't have any references on that page. Should we remove the entire list? I just noticed that my changes in 3 articles was reverted. I just want to mention that I will make some changes about that, soon, since all of the changes are from the same album.
So, is it possible to cite the same source that provided in the album's article?
Also, there is a post on social media about one of producer, Skrillex, that mentioned that he produced one song in the album. Is it good idea to mention that in the article?
Thank you. Be1con ( talk) 14:51, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
You recently reverted lots of edits by ImNotJakub for being "unsourced". This is very counter productive and not helpful, as all were correct, and the source is from ProCyclingStats, even though not directly stated in the section, as this is just the standard way of ding cycling results.

Hello, Magnolia677 I am Woojin Jeong from South Korea. I am taking a Wikipedia course in University. I am getting afraid that I could edit continuously so now I am only just add some references to article which is already exist. not adding any new sentence on that. And I just add some references few minutes before. Is there any problem with my reference? I hope you can check my references. And let me know! It is my first time that i take this kind of course in Uni so it is quite hard for me to edit Wikipedia. I think you could help me! I got a notice saying this file may be deleted because it is a derivative work:
File:Landing Craft-LCT-726-03-12-1946.jpg
The image is a scan of a photo my family has of my Dad and his crew in the Philippines in 1946. The Leonor Art Studio in Luzon, the Philippines, is clearly identified in the work. I have investigated current Philippine copyright law which states that copyright extends for fifty years past the death of the author. This was a studio no longer in business so I don't know how I can identify the person who shot this photo. Also, I have been unable to determine what copyright law existed at the time of the photograph since the Philippines were being managed by the U.S. in early 1946. Is copyright law retroactive? I thought I'd reach out to you because the person who sent me this notice seems to be Russian and I only know a few sentences. I can't get oriented with the Help Desk. Magnolia677 : You removed Tirey L. Ford as notable people on the Monterey, California wiki article. Actually, he did live for a short time in Monterey. He lived at the Hotel Del Monte, where he became familiar with the Monterey Peninsula and wrote the book Dawn and the Dons; the Romance of Monterey. I thought it was worth mentioning.--Greg Henderson 22:47, 12 May 2020 (UTC)

Wanted to run something by you and get your opinion: I'm looking at the article for Grand Gulf Military State Park and it has a section on the ghost town. For the Template: Claiborne County, Mississippi "ghost town" section, the link to Grand Gulf takes you to the article about the military park. I'm leaning towards creating a separate article for the ghost town. Would it be reasonable to remove the information about the former community and place it in a new article about the ghost town?

Shreya Patel has been nominated for the Forbes 30 under 30. ( https://www.theobserver.ca/news/local-news/northern-grads-advocacy-earns-forbes-30-under-30-nomination).
1) Does that increase her notability?
2) If not, would being named to the list from the more than 1,000 entries make her notable, especially if papers other than the Sarnia Observer ran with the story? Or Forbes itself?
Please advise. Thanks! There can be only one...TheKurgan ( talk) 00:13, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
Thank you very much for your help and your suggestions!! Wikimom1991 ( talk) 18:25, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
I am going to return my edit, reverse your undoing Brunswicknic ( talk) 11:02, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
Greetings,
I just noticed that my changes in 3 articles was reverted.
Take the time and look at it first. I will have to fix all of these.-- Seacactus 13 ( talk) 22:24, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
