Your query on my talk page

Hi, I'm a little concerned that the similarity between the name of the law firm and your username seems to indicate a possible conflict of interest. Please take a moment to read WP:COI. Any comments regarding whether you believe the article should be kept and why are best addressed at the AfD discussion, which can be found at the link provided above. I will say that AfD is simply an objective discussion, not an outright deletion, and if the consensus is that the subject meets the notability guideline, it will be kept. This is why it's important to comment there, rather than on my talk page, so that people who participate in the discussion will take your comments and your vote into consideration. The best way to establish notability is to become familiar with the policies WP:N and WP:RS. High quality reliable sources would include books, newspapers, magazines (trade magazines, for example), and coverage has to be significant... a source should either be about the subject directly, or if not directly about the subject it should contain at least 3-4 full paragraphs about the subject. - Burpelson AFB 12:44, 8 April 2011 (UTC) reply

Thank you for the clarification/username

Thank you so much for your response. As a first time Wiki contributer (this is my first page) this was my first topic of addition, so I chose the name (VHoward1600) to reflect the topic I was writing about. I now realize this appears like a conflict of interest (as I am not VHoward)--I am an independent contributer. Is there anyway to change your username after creating it? Also, I will make sure to contribute to the AfD discussion from not on. Thank you also for adding the Wiki policies, and for your further clarification! -- Vhoward1600 ( talk) 14:30, 8 April 2011 (UTC) reply

Sure, you can request a rename of your account here WP:CHU. - Burpelson AFB 14:45, 8 April 2011 (UTC) reply
Great! Just changed it. Thanks so much for your help--I really appreciate it!-- Vhoward1600 ( talk) 14:54, 8 April 2011 (UTC) reply
