Your opinion would be valued if you car to weigh in

Have a look at the current argument going on in the subheading of nicknames here. Apparently, there's people who just can't let their day pass by without taking a crack at the city. Ryecatcher773 ( talk) 02:01, 4 August 2011 (UTC)

Notability: Schools

There is currently a long and important thread at User talk:Jimbo Wales #Notability of High Schools. This may finally be the opportunity we are hoping for to get any ambiguities cleared up regarding any perceived interpretations of (non)notability. -- Kudpung กุดผึ้ง ( talk) 16:31, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

Plagiarism

I've had this discussion with numerous people, and the situation that has arisen is that the individual responsible for posting all of this has used, word for word, information that was taken from a pay-per view site, gongwer ohio. As the site is protected by a pay wall, it has become impossible for others to decipher this as plagiarism. He would copy and paste from gongwer and then cite it with a different article, making it look as if it was plagiarism. I figured this out a few weeks ago, as I am a subscriber to gongwer. With the individual being banned from wikipedia for copyright violations, I figured it was necessary, and have had support, to remove the copyright enfringement i have found. FrittataOhio ( talk) 05:03, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

OK, as long as it's the actual plagiarised info I obviously don't have a problem with that. I've seen some instances where you have removed info that is clearly not plagiarism (at least based on the reference the info uses), so that's my concern. -- JonRidinger ( talk) 05:10, 14 September 2011 (UTC)
I think you are gravely mistaken, Frittata. You may be reading a "mirror site", one which copies content from Wikipedia (which is free by law) onto its own website. They are all over the internet, so in actuality you are deleting material from the original source (Wikipedia).-- Chimino ( talk) 07:03, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

Ohio politicians

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help to stop the terrible attacks and deletions of articles pertaining to Ohio politicians by User:Marcus Qwertyus. He has consistently been on attack against one user and is now creating a terrible drain of information on Wikipedia. EVERY and I mean EVERY article he has deleted has been stocked with credible sources and are liable. He is creating a great disservice to individuals in Ohio, especially in an election year. Can you please see that each of articles on a Ohio politician that he has deleted are has submitted to be deleted is reinstated. I am willing to do whatever it takes to ensure that this does not continue to happen. I am greatly outraged! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.252.215.130 ( talk) 17:28, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

I see you just did a PR of Missoula and was wondering if you'd care to look at this other Montana article which just made GA. Lonk: Wikipedia:Peer review/Yogo sapphire/archive1. Thanks. PumpkinSky talk 03:11, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Missoula

I posted this on the Missoula page but also want to post on your talk page. Thank you JonRidinger for your very civil discourse. I had a problem with some bolding and completely over reacted with a complete revision. The lead looks good thank you.
