Chess bios

Hello Jimandjam -- I notice you've had a few proposed deletions of stubs on chess players; I've deprodded them but you might want to discuss exactly what confers notability on chess players before creating any more similar articles. WP:WikiProject Chess looks active and editors there should be able to advise you.

Also, you seem to be creating articles without categories; please read up on how to add basic categories to an article to save other editors having to fix them for you. A lot of editors use the WP:HotCat gadget to do this. Regards, Espresso Addict ( talk) 02:33, 14 May 2022 (UTC) reply

An article you recently created, Draftt:Barcenilla, Rogelio, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. ( ?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed ( verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Categories for chess players

Please stop adding biographical articles to Category:Chess players. This is a supercat that is not normally populated with individual pages. Chess biographies are classified by nation in the subcategories under Category:Chess players by nationality and by highest title awarded such as GM or IM. We only put pages in the highest title awarded, so GMs are not put in the IM and FM categories. Also do not use the "Fooian wikipedians" categories. Those are for user pages, not articles. Also we don't use flags in infoboxes, this is a general wikipedia rule, see MOS:INFOBOXFLAG. Finally, your articles have an incorrect short description "Filipino chess player" that seems to be copy and pasted from some other article. Quale ( talk) 14:36, 2 June 2022 (UTC) reply

Generally, any relevant external links should be listed in an "External links" section at the end of the article and meet the external links guidelines.
