Hi Jayron32. I was going to add something to this ANI, but it's been archived and I'm not sure whether it's OK to add something below the discussion. Anyway, I was just going to point out that this isn't the first questionable ANI that CentralTime301 has started at ANI; he started WP:ANI#The bot that has been removing a photo in a draft... a few days ago.
As stated in that thread, the questionable adding of uw's, etc. by CentralTime301 seems to really be starting to grate on others. In some cases, they uw may be justified, but there seem more mistakes being made than not which is starting to cause problems. Moreover, since CentralTime301 doesn't seem to be responding to any of the concerns being raised by others on their user talk page, it's hard figure out why they are doing such things. At the same time, they haven't veered from their full-speed-ahead attempts to "cleanup" Wikipedia, which is more than likely going to end up in their account being blocked for one reason or another.
Any suggestions on how to help them avoid such a thing? Not sure what else can be done here and hoped that by bringing it up for discussion at WP:ANI#CentralTime301 edits may need a closer review that CentralTime301 might take a bit of time to self-assess and slow things down a bit; it appears, bowever, that opposite has only happened and their user talk page continues to fill up with warnings to be more careful. -- Marchjuly ( talk) 01:35, 20 November 2019 (UTC)

I saw that you edited Contempt of Congress to add alternate phrasing "Obstruction of Congress" this morning following President Trump's impeachment yesterday, adding it as an alternate phrasing, but without citation. This appears by its timing to be a response to the impeachment charge against the President, but has no citation associated with it, and while I'm neither a Constitutional scholar nor a legal expert, my suspicion is that if Congress meant to say "contempt", they would have used that word. The construct "Obstruction of Congress" is not necessarily the same as "Contempt of Congress" or else they would have used the more familiar phrase. I think if you're going to establish equivalence between the two phrases, there needs to be some additional explanation supported by external sources that bulwarks this assertion. I'm not grinding an axe one way or the other with regard to the impeachment and impending Senate trial, but I do think that Wikipedia, which will be consulted by many during this process, needs to ensure that any changes to information that bears on this is well-researched and supported. Hi,I just wanted to defend myself about that claim There was an editor who added stuff and the sources were Persian Wikipedia and other Persian website ( http://parssea.org/?p=298) that didnt seem reliable at all. The editor also added a map ( this) saying that the map says "Persian sea". I understood that "Mare D' Persia" means "Persian sea" on that map. I then searched for a full map and I found this [2], if you looked at the corner you will see "Mare D' Arabia" so I said hah! How we can say that the Arabian sea was called the Persian sea when the map also mentions the Arabian sea. It seemed to me that there was a sea that was called the Persian sea but it was not the former name of The Arabian sea. After I pointed that out the editor added to the article "Cornelius Le Brun's Year 1718 Map. On this map, the name of the Oman Sea is recorded as "Gulf of Hormuz". The name "Arabian Sea" has been informed of a sea off the coast of Yemen, and you can rename it the Arabian Sea, as the "Indian Sea" church. Map of Iran in the 16th century by Abraham Ortelius in which the name of the Persian Sea and the Indian Sea appear" (I bolded the word "you".) Also, I checked some of those names e.g. Muhammad al-Idrisi, none of them say that the Arabian sea was called the Persian sea. The editor didnt stop and I left that article with all that mess for two months( [3]) until yesterday I removed it. I wasn't able to convince that editor that what he is doing is original research, I couldn't convince him that Persian Wikipedia and that website are not reliable sources.

In light of these recent developments, it kind of figures. You had mentioned a user called Camel-something. Did the checkuser miss that one? :( ← Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots→ 17:49, 21 January 2020 (UTC)
With regards to a previous request you made, the user's subsequent insulting of someone as an "insane TDSer" (as a non sequitur in a congratulatory comment thread having zero to do with politics) doesn't seem in line with their previously expressed acquiescence to your request. — Undomelin ( talk) 22:57, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

My response to /info/en/?search=Wikipedia:Reference_desk/Archives/Entertainment/2020_January_16#What_instrument_or_effect_is_making_the_rat-ta-tat-tat_type_sound_at_the_end_of_Guns_N.27_Rose.27s_November_Rain was a little late because for some reason my IP range was blocked. I did put in a thank you there, but since it was late I thought I would add another thank you here. I truly appreciate the help you have provided me via this reference desk. Your answers are great, and I really appreciate the effort it must take to do it. 68.10.230.94 ( talk) 15:32, 28 January 2020 (UTC)
Jay, I don't think this simple suggestion was around long enough (just 17 min.) for adequate discussion:

wide-spread support for an alternative desysoping procedure based on community input. No proposed process received consensus.
that checkuser and oversight blocks must not be reversed or modified without prior consultation with the checkuser or oversighter who placed the block, the respective functionary team, or the Arbitration Committee.
I would like to propose a new resource for WikiProjects, a community forum, or "town hall," for allowing communication between different WikiProjects. would anyone have any interest in this? Please feel free to let me know, or to comment. thanks!!
Please note, the page linked to below is merely an example, so that tab header for this page is for a different WikiProject. If implemented, the link would be placed on the specific tab header for a relevant WikiProject, not the one shown below. thanks.
thanks. --

On 18 February 2020, In the news was updated with an item that involved the article Owen Bieber, which you updated.
