A tag has been placed on Aphmau, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. Hello! In #wikipedia-en-help, you asked about finding sources for Aphmau and exceptions to the notability guidelines. The answer to your question about exceptions is both yes and no. The general notability guideline covers all articles, and requires significant coverage in reliable sources independent of the subject. However, since you're writing about a creative professional, WP:NARTIST and WP:ENTERTAINER apply. Now, I'll caution you that when you look at WP:ENTERTAINER, you will see Has a large fan base or a significant "cult" following. Subscriber numbers are an indication of a large fan base, but aren't usually enough if an article is taken to a deletion discussion. I know everyone has their preferences, but I don't know them, and I find the template of being an easy way of notifying users. I also was not aware of you creating the rules, and even if you did, the text said to notify users. It was already well over 2 weeks from the recording message. That is why I felt that I needed to set the reminder and delete right away. I understand the policy is to wait two weeks, however you were not reminded or messaged about the old message. It was over a month and it was old. I was doing cleanup that would be helpful.
