I read somewhere that De Valera offered to make the head of the O'Briens Prince-President but they turned him down. Hello Jack! I removed the succession box for several reasons. First, succession boxes for wives of peers are generally unused now. Furthermore, James held two titles called 'Duke of Normandy': the one granted by Louis XIV in 1660 and the one inherited from his brother. Thus, Mary held two titles called 'Duchess of Normandy'. Since neither of those titles is significant and mentioning only one of them is confusing, I thought that removing the reference to one of them wouldn't hurt. If you consider it important, revert it. Anyway, great job expanding the article! Surtsicna ( talk) 22:57, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
Jack, when you have finished Mary of Modena, how about taking on a real gem- Catherine de Medici!!!!! Per WP:NSONG, Singles are notable if they have charted. Because the song in question has not even been released yet, it doesn't qualify for the Notability guidelines. Please leave it as a redirect till the song is published, it charts, and we get more than "It's coming soon" coverage. Hasteur ( talk) 18:39, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
-- Jack1755 ( talk) 18:49, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
I disagree. WP:GHITS doesn't justify notability. All the hits on that google link are "It's a new single", "Look here for lyrics", "50 Cent worked with her" type coverage. No substantial coverage regarding the song. In addition several of the claimed usages are not Wikipedia level reliable sources. These include the fansites, blogs, and etc. I again reiterate WP:NSONG
It would not hurt the article to wait until it had charted and waited past the flurry of "New Music Video" coverage has passed to re-evaluate the single's notability. Hasteur ( talk) 18:59, 5 May 2011 (UTC)

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Dorothea von Velen is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.
The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dorothea von Velen until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. I know you haven't edited Wikipedia since 2014, but if you do see this, we need some evidence this isn't a hoax. The article Prince William, Duke of Gloucester you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Prince William, Duke of Gloucester for eventual comments about the article. Well done! Thanks for all your hard work, and congratulations! -- S Masters ( talk) 15:18, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
Hi! Remember this? Well... payback time! [I've always wanted to say that :D ] I know she lived 300 years before 1755, but I'd appreciate if you could take a look at Elizabeth of Bosnia article before I nominate it for GA. I want the article about my countrywoman to be as good as possible ;) Thanks, Surtsicna ( talk) 22:04, 22 April 2010 (UTC)
Monsieur, Long time no speak =[ Lol! Was wondering, should she not be named Duchess Violante Beatrice of Bavaria like her sister the Dauphine of France as neither of them were Queen consorts..?! Thought I'd ask you as you seem to have a passion for the some what ignored Medici's and their consorts Monsieur le Duc LouisPhilippeCharles ( talk) 21:26, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Ave Ioannes, or hello Jack! :D I've sent you my mail address. I really hope you didn't misspell your mail address :S zmcnamee@gmail.com? Surtsicna ( talk) 19:53, 14 May 2010 (UTC)
I've been busy all day. I was baby-sitting my cousin's 16 months old daughter. Trust me, there aren't many things that are more tiring than a baby who's just learned how to walk nor are there many things more amusing than helping a person make their first steps. How did you spend your day? Surtsicna ( talk) 22:14, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi! If you have interest and time, could you take a look at Pedro II of Brazil and share some thoughts on what it is lacking to be nominated to Featured article? Here is the the peer review page: Wikipedia:WikiProject Biography/Peer review/Pedro II of Brazil. Regards, -- Lecen ( talk) 18:40, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
to see the retired template, Jack. I hope you'll eventually decide to come back to edit at Wikipedia. I had hopes that we could work on the Henrietta Maria of France article together.-- Jeanne Boleyn ( talk) 19:58, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
Now, when are you going to remove that redundant retired template?!-- Jeanne Boleyn ( talk) 17:03, 16 October 2010 (UTC)
Well, well, well. Thank you for telling me about coming back! :) I hate to tell you I told you so but I did :P Surtsicna ( talk) 11:23, 17 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on Category:Electresses Palatine indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself. Liz Read!
