Great article! — Mainly 05:13, 4 February 2021 (UTC)
Hello there. This might be a little late because I just noticed it. Thanks a lot for expanding the article on Ives String Quartet 2! I studied the work for a while, which prompted me to create the page, though I did not manage to find other commentaries on it. Thanks for your efforts on expanding the work! ZKang123 ( talk) 03:34, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
@ ZKang123: Hi. Many thanks for creating the page, and for all your amazing work! What are you working on now? Helen Puffer Thwait ( talk) 11:54, 26 January 2022 (UTC)
An article you recently created,
Blue (Marilyn Crispell and Stefano Maltese album), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from
reliable,
independent sources. (
?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (
verifiability is of
central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to
draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's
general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.

Hi Helen Puffer Thwait, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed' and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned prolific creators of articles where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! – Joe ( talk) 16:14, 27 June 2022 (UTC)
Hi Helen, Do you know if this photograph portrays Don Moye? Vysotsky ( talk) 11:27, 26 September 2022 (UTC)
Greetings, Helen Puffer Thwait! Thanks for your recent work on album articles -- especially your creation of some new articles for albums by members of the Aquarium Rescue Unit. Those are nicely done, and valuable additions to Wikipedia, the online encyclopedia of all human knowledge (especially American and British pop culture). — Mudwater ( Talk) 22:41, 16 October 2022 (UTC)
@ Mudwater:Greetings, Mudwater! Thanks very much for your nice note. But my meager contributions pale in comparison with your relentless, consistent efforts over so many centuries... Helen Puffer Thwait ( talk) 23:45, 16 October 2022 (UTC)

Thank you for restoring a recording by Peter Brötzmann for which an article exists, but please copy a reference from there to his, for as long as his name is on the Main page. I was too tired yesterday, and didn't get to it today yet. Your help is much appreciated, finding references for the many recordings I had to drop because a ref wasn't obvious. -- Gerda Arendt ( talk) 11:49, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
for the blue notes
Thank you for quality articles about music and their makers such as Peter Brötzmann, Bangception and For the Blue Notes, for updating discographies and uploading cover art, for digging up references, - Helen, you are an awesome Wikipedian!

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:
You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete or generic. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact source (such as the web page, or printed document) where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain, search engine, pinboard, aggregator, or the direct/bare URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. — Ирука 13 21:25, 2 August 2023 (UTC)
The article flows so much better now, thanks!
I can't believe I hadn't heard of this album a month ago. TlonicChronic ( talk) 01:16, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
There are two things I would love your opinion on: the formatting of the artists name in the opening sentence, and the formatting of the catalogue number.
When the album is credited to a group, e.g. The Paul Bley Quartet, I have been changing the artist from "Canadian jazz pianist Paul Bley" to "the Paul Bley Quartet". I wonder, however, if that is wrong. Maybe the infobox, cover art, and personnel sub-heading could speak for that; if anything the former is more consistent (re: the artist) and informative—the latter has been simpler and more consistent (re: the label). I certainly question my decision there.
The second is regarding the label in the infobox. I originally settled on:
ECM (New Series) XXXX (ST)
which I still quite like. However, someone pointed out to me that the small guidelines say not to put it in places like the infobox for accessibility reasons (makes the text smaller than the standard for readability), which I don't think is unreasonable.
I've settled on ECM (New Series) XXXX (ST), but this looks clunky to me, and can be at times slightly inaccurate. Perhaps simply making both lines large would make it better, or simply moving the the serial code to a more convenient location. TlonicChronic ( talk) 15:24, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
I just wanted to say thank you for adding album ratings and reviews to several articles today. I didn't find any of those reviews, so thank you — those must have taken a lot of research to find. --Comment by Selfie City ( talk about my contributions) 23:50, 25 December 2023 (UTC)
Am I being too liberal with my "add citation" usage? It feels like it can be rude and lazy at times. TlonicChronic ( talk) 15:59, 26 December 2023 (UTC)
I thought I was tightening up the sentence by removing "expressed disappointment in the album" (etc.), but on reflection I felt you meant that as a summary of the review en masse. I did my best to correct myself, but I worry I shouldn't have touched it at all. Would you mind taking a look at it and restoring it to your version if you think it's better, or closer to what you meant?

P.S. I've been italicizing Between Sound and Space, and adding the short explanation "ECM blog", as there isn't a BSaS article. I can't help but feel "blog" is diminutive, but I can't think of a better word.
I was browsing the Blue Note discography, and I came across this citation: [1]. It sounded interesting, and I had a suspicion it was you. That's really cool information, too.
I had a question about "Stollman also recalled that Blue Note Records offered to release the portion of the concert not included on the ESP disk, but failed to do so." from pg. 19. Do you happen to know if that's the reason why 4210 and 4211 link to the ESP-Disk release? They don't say unreleased on the wiki, but I can't find any evidence of them existing, so I figured I should probably note it, and maybe used cite your citation ( [2]) if that's okay. TlonicChronic ( talk) 20:09, 6 January 2024 (UTC)
Hi! My Draft:Jimmy Smith at the Organ got rejected. Would you possibly be able to help with additional sourcing? I only have the Penguin Guide for CD—"at the Organ" still hasn't been issued on CD outside Japan—and AllMusic isn't enough. (The pair also might not be notable, but that would kind of surprise me, 1500 series and all) TlonicChronic ( talk) 21:25, 7 January 2024 (UTC)
You just edited the article on Hamid Drake which is on my watchlist. Thank you for that. Hamid and I were roommates many years ago. Since that time editing Wikipedia has become a part of my daily life. I see that you are a proficient creator of articles about music and musicians. I wonder if I could ask you to take some time and take a look at User:Buster7/sandbox-Zachary Rapp-Rovan and assist me in creating a quality article. It has been years since I created any biographical articles and those, in no way, required the dexterity of creating an article about a professional musician. Rapp-Rovan is also a graffiti artist which is how I became aware of him through a gallery showing of his artwork last year in Chicago. An article that presents the duality of his creativity is my goal. Any time or collaboration or advice you can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Thanks for uploading File:Hamid Drake Bindu.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. -- B-bot ( talk) 18:25, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
