- Hello Biophys. As you have noticed, I'm a novice in Wikipedia and I'm not sure on some things and possible personal dangers. I'm not engaged in any sort of politics just being a doctor and trying to help my much suffering people out. It is common knowledge that even in best years of new Russia's history its public health and education were crumbling apart. Now it is even worse. For years hidden backwardness and poverty came out for everybody's view. Never in Russia's history it had perfect teaching of foreign languages, even among best educated people millions of them can not read even basic English. Authorities knew this and made Russian Wikipedia open, and claimed that there would be no censorship in it. But it is obvious, that they hate any translation from English being published in russian Wikipedia and censor them. Health problems' look in ruWiki is incompetent, devastated and primitive. As knowing English a little I have tried to make known some common facts by translating from english Wikipedia. Soon I have noticed that basic knowledge on safer sex techniques attracts the most of public interest, as my people does not know common facts. The first time I faced censorship in Russian Wikipedia was when I placed a word for word of an article Teabagging. It existed in English for five years and had good traffic. It had international reputation as well. I made Russian translation for its title. Immediately the article was pointed for deletion by user:Grebenkov. His official status in ruWiki is an administrator. By the clues on his personal page and pecularities of his articles in ruWiki I revealed to myself that he is connected to so called "competent organs" and in fact he is censor. His pretext for fools was about absence in great Russian language of any equivalent russian word for english ”tea bag” in the title of the article. His logic was: as there was no russian equivalent for the title of the article – the article in ruWiki is impossible. I had no arguments against the censor. What was good for enWiki and international community for years was unacceptable for ruWiki. On June, the 23 I outcried on two different pages of enWiki about the fact of his deleting and about the censorship of healt-related issues. Somebody supported me. But, somewhat later my edits in enWiki were tracked down and deleted by his accomplice of user:Ellol. user:Ellol wrote, while deleting, that my edit was a good joke. The work of my computer was seriously impeded for sometime. On July, the 16 user:Grebenkov chose a different tactics and he initiated a process of soft deleting of my word for word of an English translation of another article of en:Fingering (sexual act). He had wanted the translated article with a volume of 75 Kilobytes and different aspect of the Masturbation to be included, distorted and abridged into a lesser, superficial Russian language article of ru: Мастурбация with a volume of just 34 Kylobytes. On my reminding him that Wikimedia Foundation does not recommend the size of articles exceeding 32 Kylobytes, user:Grebenkov has pointed out that he knows better what is good for Wikipedia. So, I see it as an evident case of censorship of innocent for public security issues and very needed article. Censorship of health-related issues on the Internet in Russia mounts, and encompasses English Wikipedia and Wikimedia Foundation as well. It violates basic human rights of Russian-reading audience on health and freedom of expression. Particularly notorious is a censor by the name of user:Grebenkov. When I outcried this time on two pages of enWiki his accomplice User:LokiiT deleted it. When I restored it he deleted it in enWiki once again with words "Stop it. It is not your personal blog". Thanks for your addition to meningitis. I have temporarily removed it pending discussion on Talk:Meningitis, because I am not completely convinced that the new vaccine needs such detailed coverage. N. meningitides type A vaccination has been around for a bit; apart from the cost ($50 is a lot by African standards!) your edit did not explain why it might be better. There was also quite a lot of technical detail about vaccine production that really was out of place in a busy clinical article that attempts to cover the entire topic of meningitis. User:GrahamColm “didn’t notice” that the copyright problem was the other way around with me on 4 August 2012 and 11 references and them in March 2013 with no references. I don’t doubt that there will appear and have already appeared many more reviews of the same book elsewhere later than my article in August 2012. Isn’t it bizarre to charge me with the copyright problem? But I don’t object to the deletion of this article and any other article or all of them that have been downloaded by me to English Wikipedia. - I’ve received a notice from User:GrahamColm that he has detected copyright problem in my article Why Nations Fail, that has been downloaded by me on 4 August 2012 and had 11 references. He writes: “This article appears to contain material copied from http://www.americanacademy.de/home/program/past/why-nations-fail-origins-power-prosperity-and-poverty, and therefore to constitute a violation of Wikipedia's copyright policies. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted. “ User:GrahamColm referred to the website that published their review of the book “Why Nations fail” SEVEN MONTHS LATER in March 2013 with no references at all!!! User:GrahamColm “didn’t notice” that the copyright problem was the other way around with me on 4 August 2012 and 11 references and them in March 2013 with no references. I don’t doubt that there will appear and have already appeared many more reviews of the same book elsewhere later than my article in August 2012. Isn’t it bizarre to charge me with the copyright problem? But I don’t object to the deletion of this article and any other article or all of them that have been downloaded by me to English Wikipedia. [3] And this was added to the article at 15:44, on 4 August 2012, "Inclusive states have no single centre of power but are innovative and prosperous thanks to the jostling of competing interests under the rule of law and secure property rights".
