Hello WikiMarketingExperts. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:WikiMarketingExperts. The template {{ Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=WikiMarketingExperts|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 🇺🇦  FiddleTimtrent  FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 18:25, 1 July 2022 (UTC) reply

Hi Timtrent,
Sorry for the confusion. I am not being directly or indirectly compensated for my edits. I did not realize the edits I was making were coming across that way or being disruptive. I have been focusing on making small edits like grammar and spelling on topics I have knowledge on. If this is referring to my previous user name, I was not aware of the entirety of Wikipedia's username policy. I included "marketing" in my username because I an currently studying marketing and journalism. I changed my username to something abiding by the username policy when I first received a message. I value the informative and unbiased nature of Wikipedia and do not want to take that away. As someone studying journalism, I know the importance of gathering information from unbiased sources, citing all of the information you include, and having the goal of providing true and only true information. I would like to use my writing and research skills to eventually create new Wikipedia pages that include notable topics and do not have pages already. I value having true and accurate information and would like to improve pages by making slight edits, but I do not want to be disruptive. I have educated myself on Wikipedia's terms and conditions and will make better, less disruptive/biased edits in the future. EJMR2003 ( talk) 17:57, 6 July 2022 (UTC) reply

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Seb Bishop. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. 🇺🇦  FiddleTimtrent  FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 18:33, 1 July 2022 (UTC) reply

Your username

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "WikiMarketingExperts", may not comply with our username policy. Please note that you may not use a username that represents the name of a company, group, organization, product, service, or website. Examples of usernames that are not allowed include "XYZ Company", "MyWidgetsUSA.com", and "Foobar Museum of Art". However, you are permitted to use a username that contains such a name if it identifies you individually (not your role), such as "Sara Smith at XYZ Company", "Mark at WidgetsUSA", or "FoobarFan87", but not "SEO Manager at XYZ Company".

Please also note that Wikipedia does not allow accounts to be shared by multiple people and that you may not advocate for or promote any company, group, organization, product, service, or website, regardless of your username. Please also read our paid editing policy and our conflict of interest guideline. If you are a single individual and are willing to contribute to Wikipedia in an unbiased manner, please request a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, choosing a username that complies with our username policy. Alternatively, you can just create a new account and use that for editing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. Thank you. jp× g 17:59, 1 July 2022 (UTC) reply
