APRIL FOOL, n. The March fool with another month added to his folly. - Ambrose Bierce
April Fool's Day must have started early in certain time zones. My contribution to the merriment is here, Wikipedia's picture of the day for April 1, and I will be spending most of the day contributing content to remedy gaps in Wikipedia's coverage of Africa, beginning with a caricature of Idi Amin (which seems oddly appropriate under the circumstances).
If you have the urge to do constructive work in the spirit of fun, please take this opportunity to contact me for pointers to historic political cartoons and other material that can make Wikipedia a better and more amusing encyclopedia. GIMP is free if you don't have Photoshop and there's no time like the present to learn. Alternatively, if you have access to specialized archives, try improvements to the biography of Jean Desbouvrie so he can run as the April Fool's article of the day for next year. The page is solid B-class, but we really need documentation of his birth and death dates and a bit more to round it out in order to move up to FA. Best wishes all for a safe and productive holiday, Durova Charge! 18:31, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Dear Durova, I think you do a lot of searching for Wikipedia images. Could you please find a free Photo of Waris Dirie? Thanks in advance -- Taranet ( talk) 23:09, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Is an image that is in the Italian public domain due to age in the US public domain? Here is a VPC candidate that I have my doubts about copyright-wise. Your input would be appreciated. File:Kalki 03 1948.jpg. ~ ωαdεstεr16 «talk stalk» 04:12, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Would you take another look at Wikipedia:Featured article review/Dhaka, and check if it fits the bill now? Aditya( talk • contribs) 17:41, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Have you been asked to edit and remove material from ANI at whim [1] os this just presumption on your part? Giano ( talk) 21:58, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
Hi Durova, I believe all the issues you raised there have been resolved by now. Can you please reconsider your opinion there? If you have any new issues, plesae feel free to list them there, so that we can start fixing them. Thanks. -- Ragib ( talk) 23:39, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
