Comment in Talk:Zionism

Regarding your recent edits to Talk:Jew and Talk:Zionism, please understand that the talk pages associated on Wikipedia exist for discussion of improvements to articles, not as an open forum for personal opinions and rants. Accordingly, your commentaries have been deleted. -- Steven J. Anderson ( talk) 12:04, 11 April 2008 (UTC) reply

Raquel, as you saw, I undid the deletion of your (very passionate and, frankly, too emotional to be useful) comment. Steven is right, but Wikipedia has rules. One of the many rules is that he (or you) cannot modify or delete someone else's comment, as it is said in WP:TALK. However, you may delete it or edit it yourself. Your Username

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: your username seems to be prblematic since according to policy: "Use of Wikipedia for promotion of a company or group is not permitted, and accounts that do this will be blocked.". After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

  • If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.

Thank you. The Ogre ( talk) 23:39, 23 April 2008 (UTC) reply

judio comunidad murcia is not a private company. It is a social group nonreligious. We are jews from murcia .Theres no problem with men named jesus adding comments here nor maria so why with a jewish name? If i were moises would it be different from the hundreds of guys named jesus? The catholic university is a page here so why cant we be here too.We can change the name for all future addons. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Comunidad judia murcia ( talkcontribs)
The problem is that it's the name of an organisation; as well as the issue of potential promotion, we also don't allow "role accounts", that is accounts representing a role or organisation. Accounts must represent a single individual acting on their own behalf. This isn't about the existence of articles, but user accounts. SamBC( talk) 20:02, 27 April 2008 (UTC) reply
will do but i gotta say it smells racist. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Comunidad judia murcia ( talkcontribs)
