I would strongly encourage you not to start another RFC - for one thing the first one is still running. For another, one should generally only start a RFC that will actually resolve the ongoing dispute - and that means soliciting input from others as wording of the RFC that would settle the argument rather than dropping a 'surprise' RFC that folks will just continue arguing with and about.
