Lieutenant Governor

Hello! West Virginia Code §6A-1-4(b) created the title of "lieutenant governor," and assigned it to the president of the state senate (currently Earl Ray Tomblin). Tomblin's letterhead, for example, lists both titles. I've restored that to the article. You can see the code yourself here. For easy reference, though:

...the president of the Senate shall be additionally designated the title of "lieutenant governor"...

Hope that helps clarify. Take care!   user:j     (aka justen)   23:14, 31 July 2008 (UTC) reply

Thanks for clearing this up. Catdog4169 ( talk) 18:42, 2 August 2008 (UTC) reply

While James Monroe High School may be Monroe County's only public high school, it doesn't have anything to do with WHFI, which is what the article is about. Noting that sporting events from that school are aired is good enough. Sorry it isn't my choice, these are rules from WP:WPRS. - NeutralHomerTalk 23:25, 25 September 2008 (UTC) reply

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Caperton Indoor Facility, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.msnsportsnet.com/page.cfm?section=7924. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Proposed deletion of Caperton Indoor Facility

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Caperton Indoor Facility, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also " What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{ dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Please see any of the sources I listed above. The New River is the technical border that seperates Mercer and Monroe counties. WHFI/Monroe Routes

WHFI: Being that WHFI is licensed to a small town that isn't the county seat (that being Union), Manual of Style says you should add the county seat as part of the "broadcast area" field.

Monroe Routes: A "Major Route" doesn't discribe whether it is an interstate, US Route, WV State Route, or back road, it discribes it's usage or how many cars and trucks drive on it daily.

In Preston County, the major routes are US 50, WV 7, WV 92, WV 26, WV 72, and I-68. All WELL traveled roads on a daily basis. Doesn't matter that that the first is a US route and the last is an interstate, they are an "major routes".

So in the case of WV Route 122 and WV Route 311, they are major routes, even though they are WV State Routes. - NeutralHomerTalkWork • October 10, 2008 @ 00:47

It really isn't for either of us to say. The addition or deletion of roads from a county page is under the perview of WP:WikiProject U.S. Roads. If they say they are a major road, it's a major road.
As for "Peterstown" being added, it shouldn't. Having the county seat and the county is enough. We don't want to list every town in the county. - NeutralHomerTalk • October 10, 2008 @ 23:59

2019 US Banknote Contest

US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.
