ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Hello, CalinicoFire. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery ( talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC) reply

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Karyn Khoury, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. reddogsix ( talk) 15:54, 29 June 2017 (UTC) reply

The sources requested have been added hence the reason for the removal. This person is very notable in the perfume industry. CalinicoFire ( talk) 15:59, 29 June 2017 (UTC) reply

Be careful in your language

No, it is not my intention to be insulting because I called the drawing "a fantasy". You yourself say the drawing "must have been" a drawing from an old painting, if I remember correctly, and if you have no information that it is, then you are wrong in making that assumption as well. The drawing may very well have been made by someone, who have the very best intentions for this article, and perhaps also admiration and sympathy for the article subject. I have the very same intentions and feelings about the article: If I remember correctly, It was in fact me who started that article once upon a time (and you can check that if you wish). I have deleted information from it, because it was not referenced, which all information in Wikipedia or any serious encyclopedia must be: not because I am a bad person with evil intent, as you seem to think. I have called that drawing a fantasy drawing, because there is no information that it was made in the 16th-century or a modern drawing made from a 16th-century original: it is unlikely that it was, because the style of the drawing is modern, the depiction of the face is modern, and her clothes seem to be from the 13th-or 14th-century rather than from the fashion of the 16th-century.
You can ad as much information to the article as you wish, if it is referenced to an academic reference book; otherwise it will be deleted, but that is not because I am an evil person; it is because Wikipedia is not a good encyclopedia if the information in articles are not referenced; and you can make as many drawings of her yourself if you wish, but if they are not from the 16th-century, we cannot pretend that it is. My only intention with this article, which I once started myself, is to ensure that the information is sourced, and the drawings in it are not made out to be what they are not. Does that make be a bad person?
But more important than any of this above; people on the internet are people too. I do not wish to argue with an unknown stranger on the internet about the content of an article. I suffer from severe depression and anxiety problems, and when you accuse me of being evil and of having evil intent: that is not good for my health, that hurts me. Please remember that to treat a fellow human being with respect is more important than any drawings in the world, and we can never know how that person on the other side of the screen feels. My intention is not to be rude against anyone: my anxiety problems in fact make me afraid of most people. My only intent was to take care of the article I started, so that all fantasy drawings, by which I mean "drawings made from fantasy or imagination", is not purported to show what she actually looked like, and that all i formation is sourced, because I respect Wikipedia, and I don't like lies. I can take that article of my watch list to prevent any further accusations from you, because that injures my mental anxiety condition. Thank you. -- Aciram ( talk) 22:27, 13 August 2017 (UTC) reply

Sorry about that. I just realized it was you that started the article. I just thought that using the term fantasy just sounded derogatory. Its just constructive criticism about a statement that could sound better out of respect for the person of the article nothing personal. Unfortunately there are lots of people around adding or erasing information in a way that makes their intentions questionable and then as an editor or creator of articles you become a bit cynical and start assuming the worst out of people that edit articles without solid reasons. You seem to be very sensitive to criticism but again please understand the position I come from as well and my experiences as an article creator and editor here in Wikipedia. Hello, I'm DVdm. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Frank Zappa, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. DVdm ( talk) 22:19, 17 November 2017 (UTC) reply

Please do not add or significantly change content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Kristy McNichol. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. DVdm ( talk) 22:23, 17 November 2017 (UTC) reply

Note: I do not know what you have with Lebanon, but this source that you cited in this edit does not support the content that you added, not even close. If a book mentions a person's name and a country one one page, that does not mean that the person was born in that country. Please do read what you find with Google. Thank you. - DVdm ( talk) 22:31, 17 November 2017 (UTC) reply

If you read the source I have provided it says that those are McNichol's own words from an interview. Her imdb biography also states her maternal grandfather is lebanese (Trivia no. 4) http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001531/bio CalinicoFire ( talk) 22:35, 17 November 2017 (UTC) reply

Note that IMDB is not a reliable source for Wikipedia—its content can be edited by anyone. On which page in the book https://books.google.se/books?id=u6XndlaD9lQC (titled Feed Your Face: The 28-day plan for younger, smoother skin and a beautiful body) does she say that? - DVdm ( talk) 22:39, 17 November 2017 (UTC) reply
Its in Part III of the book. The link I put on the source takes you right to that page (which is not numbered unfortunatly). Ok, according to the author, she says that she is quarter Lebanese. I misread the name of the subject. I thought this was about Kirsty McColl. My apologies. I will undo my revert and point to this section on your talk page. I also struck the warning. My apologies. - DVdm ( talk) 23:06, 17 November 2017 (UTC) reply

Dispute resolution

Your request for mediation and your filing at Dispute Resolution Noticeboard have been rejected because you first filed for a Third Opinion. No dispute resolution venue will accept a case which has already been filed at some other forum or venue since allowing that practice welcomes forum shopping. If your 3O filing proves to be fruitless, then refile at DRN. Regards, TransporterMan ( TALK) 22:23, 24 November 2017 (UTC) (Not watching this page) reply

Ok thanks TransporterMan. Will do so! CalinicoFire ( talk) 22:25, 24 November 2017 (UTC) reply

Request for mediation rejected

The
request for formal mediation concerning Talk:Pythagoras, to which you were listed as a party, has been
declined. To read an explanation by the Mediation Committee for the rejection of this request, see the
mediation request page, which will be deleted by an administrator after a reasonable time. Please direct questions relating to this request to the
Chairman of the Committee, or to the
mailing list. For more information on forms of dispute resolution, other than formal mediation, that are available, see
