My talk page from Feb 20, 2005 to beginning of May 2005:
Thanks for both of these, Antandrus--clear and helpful!
In fact, if the author weren't you, I would have thought Geisslerlieder was a put-on: merry songs of the self-flagellators--straight out of Monty Python, no?

There is a large international community that wants new music to play, particularly music written for their instrument. Remember Haydn's law of Baryton composition - write what your patron's play. Stirling Newberry 00:22, 24 Feb 2005 (UTC)

I hadn't known up until this point the extent of Mersenne's musical writings, which I found through your Mauduit article. Just a hello, and a reminder that someone does indeed read this stuff. :-) And chanson... yikes; another nice catch. Mindspillage (spill yours?) 19:44, 20 Mar 2005 (UTC)
Hey! I'm a new user here and when I was checking the 'sonata' article, I noticed that there were no Scarlatti's sonatas mentioned. I'm not too familiar with them and you seem to be an expert for early music. Could you add some of them? Looking forward for more collaborations (the only major work I did until now is categorizing pianists, but better than nothing!) -- Missmarple 18:08, 23 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I have not been accused in Vandalism in Progress about removing his biography, but kept his list of music. (added by User: 4.161.5.193)
I know your summary said it wasn't quite done, but I submitted it to the queue anyway, since the jail bit was too good to pass up, and music articles *are* underrepresented.
By the way, I notice the "I don't want to be an admin" bit is missing from your user page... may I nominate you? Mindspillage (spill yours?) 16:41, 31 Mar 2005 (UTC)

I just happened to read your page exactly one year after you started on wikipedia and wanted to give some words of encouragement in passing :-) You have a very sensible attitude towards contentious pages, which I'm afraid I don't. I've looked through your list of contributions and there's a lot of lovely work in there. I will read your article about Arvo Part's piece used in Farenheit 9/11. Congratulations! It's my pleasure to let you know that, consensus being reached, you are now an administrator. You should read the relevant policies and other pages linked to from the administrators' reading list before carrying out tasks like deletion, protection, banning users, and editing protected pages such as the Main Page. Most of what you do is easily reversible by other sysops, apart from page history merges and image deletion, so please be especially careful with those.
