Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to make constructive contributions to Wikipedia, but at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to American Idol (season 9), did not appear to be constructive and has been automatically reverted by ClueBot.

  • Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • Cluebot produces very few false positives, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been detected as unconstructive, please report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This is particularly important when adding or changing any facts or figures and helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Schuyler Joplin (One Life to Live), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Rex Balsom. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. -- SineBot ( talk) 01:13, 22 April 2010 (UTC) reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Perfect Couples, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This is particularly important when adding or changing any facts or figures and helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Can you please provide a source for the last names to the characters? It seems a little dubious since some of them are married. Logical Fuzz ( talk) 22:14, 23 May 2010 (UTC) reply

Please do not assume ownership of articles such as Channing Tatum. If you aren't willing to allow your contributions to be edited extensively or be redistributed by others, please do not submit them. Thank you. — ξ xplicit 23:19, 23 May 2010 (UTC) reply

Please do not introduce incorrect information into articles, as you did to Scream 4. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you believe the information you added was correct, please cite references or sources or discuss the changes on the article's talk page before making them again. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. Thank you. Mike Allen 02:26, 28 May 2010 (UTC) reply

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Scream 4. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Please stop the disruption, otherwise you may be blocked from editing. Mike Allen 00:51, 30 May 2010 (UTC) reply

Scream 4 cast -- edit warring

Please do not edit war over this. I hate reporting users because it takes up too much time, but if necessary I will. Ashley Greene was offered the role of Jill, the role was declined by her and the role went to Emma Roberts. No source has said that she has taken another role. When and if a source does provide that information then we can place her back in the cast. That Omg! article has no date, and other sources have pretty much said that "Robberts is in and Greene is out". Thank you. Mike Allen 01:06, 30 May 2010 (UTC) reply

Filmographies

Please stop adding films to filmographies that have not gone into an active phase of production, specifically filming. Films in pre-production and in development are not listed in filmographies. Wildhartlivie ( talk) 01:26, 30 May 2010 (UTC) reply

Regarding your edit summary here, telling other editors not to remove content simply because you don't want it removed violates WP:OWN. Unless an editor is blatantly vandalizing an article (you not agreeing with content being removed is not vandalism), all editors are free to edit and re-edit content, especially if it doesn't adhere to Wikipedia policy. If you really feel it necessary, go ahead and contact one of the many Wikipedia administrators about poorly sourced content on a WP:BLP being removed. You can also start a thread on the BLP noticeboard but I highly doubt you'll be happy with answers you get from any administrator you contact or whomever answers your complaint on the noticeboard. Have at it though. As for your "utterly stupid excuse" remark, that "excuse" is actually Wikipedia's reliable source policy. Following the reliable source policy is not optional. If you want to include this content, it is your responsibility to find a source that Wikipedia considers reliable to support it. Gossip blogs/sites such as celebuzz.com are not considered a reliable source. It doesn't matter if you think it is - the community has decided they are not reliable and cannot be used. If you want to debate that, look into changing community consensus regarding the usage of gossip sites as sources. Further, content that is likely to be challenged (such as the content you've been attempting to add) always needs to be sourced. It doesn't matter if it's been "confirmed" elsewhere. Please see Wikipedia:Verifiability. Pinkadelica 16:19, 5 June 2010 (UTC) reply

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:CharlieBanks.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{ GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{ non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Unsourced and untagged files may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the file will be deleted 48 hours after 08:29, 19 June 2010 (UTC). A tag has been placed on File:JFordoltl.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content. [1], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then:

  • state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions.
  • add the relevant copyright tag.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. License tagging for File:90210Season3.png

Thanks for uploading File:90210Season3.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Kelly Cramer Photo

Hey 5teevee5, I was wondering if you can change the image for Kelly Cramer like you did for Matthew Buchanan. You now, the white background that all ABC Daytime stars had? I really like Kelly's and it would look nice, probably a head-to-shoulder version and not a lower body version maybe. I don't have an account and was wondering if you can do that. Thanks a lot!

Here is the link of the picture that you can use if you do it: http://abc.go.com/shows/one-life-to-live/photo-details/kelly-cramer/555129/517098

Again, thanks a lot. 149.4.207.72 ( talk) 14:35, 23 October 2010 (UTC) reply

Changing and choosing images

Hello, 5teevee5. Could you discuss changing images, like either on the article talk pages or at WP:SOAPS, before making such mass changes? For example, most of the images for One Life to Live originally went by "the opening in the show format" because that had/has general consensus. Also, if you insist on changing images, make sure they are good images. I reverted your image for Todd Manning because it mostly shows the side of his face (and I prefer the one there now, as it contrasts well to the Roger Howarth as Todd Manning image), and I reverted your image for Téa Delgado because she looks sad (or upset in some other way) in that picture. Likewise, your Starr Manning image portrays Starr as upset about something, which is why I reverted you on that one. Your image for Blair Cramer, similar to your Todd Manning image, only shows the side of the character's face, but I didn't revert you there.

Regarding licensing: When it is a screenshot, you should use a screenshot license, not a promotional photograph license. Flyer22 ( talk) 23:12, 20 February 2011 (UTC) reply

I agree on the pictures of Todd, Starr and Blair. Though not on Tea's. Just because you think she looks "sad", doesn't mean she was. 5teevee5 ( talk) 23:57, 20 February 2011 (UTC) reply
I disagree. Whether she looks sad or not, she clearly looks upset or deeply concerned about something. It is not a relaxed facial expression at all. I fail to see why this image is better than the previous one. If you would rather I bring other editors in on the matter, I will. But in the meantime, I highly suggest you restore the previous image or at least add one where she is making a relaxed facial expression or smiling. If the previous image is not restored or no alternate image is added, I will look for one, upload it...and add it. Hopefully, if it comes to that, you will approve of my selection. Flyer22 ( talk) 02:31, 21 February 2011 (UTC) reply
Okay, I alerted a few editors to this discussion, including the uploader of the previous Téa Delgado image. All are editors who edit the One Life to Live articles; I have hardly had contact with any of them (which should make their weighing in neutral), but I do see them around. WP:SOAPS is too inactive to alert editors there. Anyway, we'll see if we get their opinions on this. Flyer22 ( talk) 02:55, 21 February 2011 (UTC) reply
I've asked two more editors (ones I don't remember having any interaction with) to give their opinions on this matter, since the previous ones I asked, like yourself, are not involved in heavy editing here at Wikipedia and clearly are not going to state a thing here. These other two are more active with heavy editing and are more likely to weigh in. If they do not, I will do as I stated before -- replace your image with one of my choosing. I will not be getting into a revert war with you over this. But I will not be sitting back and just letting you have your way because you want the images you want. A good portion of your images are still wrongly licensed, for example. Besides correct licensing, there are more important things to be done regarding soap opera character articles, such as making sure they are not just plot summaries, as I did with the Téa Delgado article and others. Too many of you fellow soap opera editors are worried about images and reverting semi-vandals instead of real-word heavy-editing, which is frustrating, to say the least, and is why so many Wikipedia soap opera articles are being deleted...and will continue to be. Flyer22 ( talk) 20:02, 24 February 2011 (UTC) reply
Well, I do think the new image of Téa Delgado looks like she's worried about something. I just think there's no need to upload new images when perfectly good ones already exist. The old one was just fine, there was absolutely nothing wrong with it. – anemone projectors– 20:07, 24 February 2011 (UTC) reply
Yes, those are my thoughts. I don't understand this constant changing of images. It's like a lot of the editors feel that the main images should be changed every few months.
Thank you for weighing in. Flyer22 ( talk) 20:46, 24 February 2011 (UTC) reply
Neither image should be used for Tea, the rationale is not good enough. However, 5teevee shouldn't have uploaded a new one. It didn't add anything new. So stop reverting it now and let the old one stay. They are both promo pics to aren't they? A simple screenshot can replace these better. (Isn't the picture from the serial's official website any how? If so you're lying on the rationale, it didn't come as a promo for media and press use.) I'd also like to say, the storyline section is too long, cut it down by half. :) RAIN*the*ONE BAM 20:17, 24 February 2011 (UTC) reply
5teevee5's image seems to be a screenshot to me, Raintheone. But the one you reverted to is of course a promotional shot. Right now, it has the wrong license. It needs a promotional shot licensing, which I will change it to in a moment. But you're saying, either way, the licensing still isn't good enough because it's a promotional shot instead of a screenshot? I'm definitely aware that we are allowed to get away with more, use-wise, when it comes to screenshots.
As for the plot summary, yes, I understand how it is considered too long, especially the 2008 - present section (which is tagged as such). But it is often a difficult task to decide how to best present soap opera plot summaries, since soap operas (the daytime ones) tend to have many more episodes than primetime television shows and thus the plot summaries for their characters are going to be more detailed. I tried to make the plot summary as short as I could without cutting out any significant details. The section grew when the 2008 section was created and editors started adding stuff to it. Flyer22 ( talk) 20:46, 24 February 2011 (UTC) reply
I've found because you can say more and edit the screenshot more, it manages to withstand a deletion nom easier. Anyway, as for plot, you just have to be ruthless. Quite a few of the British soap air five times a week. We just have to say it in the simplest form possible. I'll help if you like. RAIN*the*ONE BAM 01:51, 25 February 2011 (UTC) reply
I don't mind you helping with trimming down the plot, though I would prefer you start with the 2008 - present section; starting with that section would also give me an example of your trimming style. In either case, if anything too significant is cut, I could always add it back in the simplest way possible. Flyer22 ( talk) 07:52, 25 February 2011 (UTC) reply

Hi, I don't personally like some of your image choices, but I can live with most. I'm more curious what your rationale was for changing them at all? I was never a huge fan of the opening credits shots but most of the ones you're choosing are practically profiles. What about just character portraits from the ABC site or something in certain cases? — TAnthony Talk 03:58, 8 March 2011 (UTC) reply

Adding Some More Pictures For OLTL Articles

Hey 5teevee5, I really like all of the pictures you uploaded for the OLTL articles and was wondering if you could upload more for the men like Brody, Rex, Ford, James, Nate, Cristian, Joey, John, and Cutter all being shirtless. Hey, that is partially what soaps are known for, right? I think that would provide more substance for the characters and would look really good! A tag has been placed on File:VictoriaLord.png requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

Thank you.

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Robert Ford (One Life to Live). When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted.

Thanks and please do so! 149.4.42.21 ( talk) 17:47, 2 March 2011 (UTC) reply
