I really do No need for such a stubby article on a storm that never touched land. – Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 01:52, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
I don't see any need for an article on Hernan. It didn't affect any land, it didn't set any records, and overall there wasn't much of anything special about it. However, if you are interested in article writing, there are plenty of older storms that either have articles and need work, or caused some impact on land but do not have an article. Or, if you want to focus on Hernan, you could always work on the section in the season article. ♬♩ Hurricanehink ( talk) 16:16, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Please wait till Cyclonebiskit finished it, the storm history isn't done. At least wait until it goes to Hurricane Hernan (2008)

We agreed unanimously here that there is no need to have the timeline in the storm article. The text in the timeline should be in the storm history. And by the way, Hernan is still being proposed for a merger. You might want to discuss why it should not be merged. ♬♩ Hurricanehink ( talk) 20:08, 6 September 2008 (UTC)
Hi Yellow Evan! In case it hasn't been done, I'd like to formally welcome you to Wikipedia. First, I noticed that you've been editing tropical cyclone articles, so you might be interested in joining the WikiProject Tropical cyclones, an organized group of editors focused on creating, expanding, and improving tropical cyclone-related articles. That said, I've looked over your contribution list, and I've noticed a few things. First, per notability guidelines, not all tropical cyclones need an article, especially ones that caused little damage, regardless of strength. One such storm is Hurricane Hernan (2008), which probably doesn't need an article. It would be more productive to work on existing storm articles. If you do want to create articles, you should become familiar with Wikipedia's policies, guidelines, and the WikiProject Tropical cyclone's standards. A good place to learn about writing better articles is this page. One of the most important aspects to creating articles is to cite your sources, and format them properly. Another important process is using correct grammar, and learning small tricks of the trade, such as never using exclamation points in an article. The next is to calm down :)
This article dose not need to be merged if you look and the to do section of this page —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.193.254.254 ( talk) 17:25, 30 August 2008 (UTC)
Although I understand that this storm can have an article even though it never affect land, the creation of it should have been held off until the TCR for it came out. The TCR would make it much easier to create an accurate and useful article for a storm that didn't affect land. Cyclonebiskit ( talk) 01:03, 31 August 2008 (UTC)
The Boris TCR is not even out so I would not count on it, however its says on my talk that it needs an article now so i would rename it Hurricane Hernan(2008) when its finished and yes i am also editing it from time to time.-- 72.193.254.254 ( talk) 03:56, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
This is an near to above normal season but the above normal season of 2006 had a lot of TCR come out early, but Boris TCR is not out.-- 72.193.254.254 ( talk) 16:27, 1 September 2008 (UTC)
MM, I would say the average number of TCR is 28.However The TCR of 2005 came out mostly in April and they had over 50 reports to wrie, Some extremely long ones like Katrina. So, I think the Hernan TCR wont be out until December.-- 72.193.254.254 ( talk) 23:12, 3 September 2008 (UTC)
Yellow Evan, I noticed that you keep assessing your own articles up to C and B class. The fact that they're nowhere close to those levels aside, it is generally discouraged to assess your own articles. Please refrain from doing such, and ask another editor's opinion on an article. Thank you. – Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 14:08, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
The article is still very poor. The entire "impact" and "preparations" section does not have a citation that backs up what is there. The prose is still horrible, far from being well-written. No offense, but I still think the article should be merged, as there is absolutely no need for such a poorly-written article. ♬♩ Hurricanehink ( talk) 15:26, 13 September 2008 (UTC)
