Protex (soap) and notability
Hello! I see you created the article Protex (soap) and it was then redirected back to Colgate-Palmolive. This is because the editor who saw the article you created thought the topic likely is not " notable". When we say "notable" here, we mean something very specific. Not every topic should have an article written about it. Instead, topics are only written about if they meet the Wikipedia:General Notability Guideline, which notes that a topic is generally only covered in its own article if it has "received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Many brands are not written about in any signficant way, so instead might just be noted at the page of their parent company (as was previvously the case for Protex. The editor that redirected Protex (soap) back to Colgate-Palmolive thought that there isn't enough coverage of Protex for us to support a stand-alone article for it, and that instead folks who search for Protex should be redirected to the Colgate page.
