Hi Uricarrillo94, If you would like to get involved in something right down your alley, I recently started a new article you might be interested in working on with me. It's joint article to the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association article. It is going to list all of the champions each year. It's something that some of us other rodeo editors will probably do with the PBR article eventually too. I'd really like to have more than one person involved on it as it involves all the many different events of rodeo. Your level of involvement could be entirely up to you, any where from just advising, proofreading, or actually filling in the champion lists. Here's the article location: User:Dawnleelynn/sandbox/Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Champions if you just want to see the structure, I have only started filling in one list. I have already copied the list from the main article for the Xtreme Bull Riders. This type of doing two articles is widely used in Wikipedia for musicians and their awards or their discography, for one example. Or actors and their movies, etc. Anyway, the area I'd like help with is to be sure I included all the events. I've added two citations so you can see my sources. The main source is coming from the media kit on the PRCA website which is http://www.prorodeo.com/prorodeo/media/2017-prca-media-guide, each section you see is clickable to its own flipbook (pdf). Any thoughts you have on the structure so far let me know. And definitely I would credit you appropriately for any help.
Also, I'm going to write up an post about the whole new tour name issue, and I'll get back to you on that tomorrow. I checked a page analysis on the Built Ford Tough Series article, and it does not get very many hits, really. However, the PBR article does get a lot of hits, so perhaps we can decide the best way to address it soon. It really boils down to whether to address all of the tours as the Premier Series as an article and then talk about each separate tour in that article. Or rather have separate articles for each tour. And also, be sure we use the right tour name. I've been reading all the articles that come out trying to see if they are being consistent. But truthfully, WP readers are not looking here (WP) for the tour name. Have you noticed how they are advertising the tour name on television? Just a thought. Thanks, dawnleelynn (talk) 23:02, 21 January 2018 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Dawnleelynn. I noticed that you recently removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.
I have noticed you are acting with associates or even are even using associate accounts yourself. I noticed that the IP account 108.200.5.217 was making edits in the same articles and around the same times you were at times. But what really gave it away was that both accounts were used to create a new article: International Professional Rodeo Association. And since the Rodeo area and articles is not a very busy part of Wikipedia, it's pretty easy to see when things like this are going on. So when another IP account showed up today to add unsourced entries to the only two very large articles I am working on right now, one I've newly created and one I've just made a large expansion in, it's highly unlikely that it's coincidental. The accounts are, Luke Snyder and J.W. Harris. Especially when the other IP account (108.200.5.217) shows up right about the same time and makes an edit to the Professional Bull Riders account. So, 172.254.85.226 is obviously also an associated account. I have not pinged you on all of your unexplained edits (mostly content removal) but you really need to stop adding content without sources. Another friendly reminder that it's not optional. dawnleelynn (talk) 04:35, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
What is the hardest part about adding sources? Finding them or adding them to the article? What method do you use to add them to the article? I use the Template > Cite function on the Source Editor window. You can paste the URL in and then click the Magnifying Glass to get many of the fields filled in automatically. Some people use the Visual Editor. Really, I don't have any idea how well you know the editing tools, so all of this could be moot. Just a thought. dawnleelynn (talk) 17:07, 25 January 2018 (UTC)
Just a quick note first. I have figured out why I have been so snippy the last couple weeks, and not just to you. Seasonal affective disorder. I am starting to take vitamin D3 and going to try to get some natural sunlight as well.
Okay, so we now have these three PBR tour articles, which I will be polishing up this week. Built Ford Tough Series where the content is new and taken from my sandbox article. It's all cited so you can make corrections and verify anything you add exists in the sources therein. Then there is the Bud Light Cup Series where I again took the content from the sandbox and it's an article I repurposed from a redirect. And then lastly, there is the Unleash the Beast Series article which I took some content from the BFTS article and repurposed it and I also wrote some new content and took content from the tour in the PBR article. They all have sources. One thing I need to do in the BFTS is look through the sources again and where it talks about the BFTS system moving from money to points in 2013. I have a PBR article that talks about it, but I'd really like more than that. I also have some past challenges from the sources I gathered like the Moss Oak Shootout, the Super Duty Ford thing, etc. I'm also going to update the tours section in the PBR article because I found several other tours that existed in the past that can go in the previous tours section. After I do that, I want to split article into two articles - the new article will be just for lists of PBR awards or champions...still thinking what the best article title will be. Professional Bull Riders Awards ? Professional Bull Riders Champions ? The lists is really more than just champions so that's why I thought Awards might be better. Let me know that you think. dawnleelynn (talk) 18:18, 4 February 2018 (UTC)
Hello there. Thanks a bunch for the new pages regarding the past PBR tours. It’s really helpful for anyone who wants to go deep into the rich history of the organization. As far as the PBR awards page is concerned, “Awards” is definitely a better title since it includes all the awards apart from the world championships, world finals event championships, lower level championships, etc. You have done a phenomenal job, and I hope your work will help to have this sport we love be taken more seriously by the mainstream environment. I joined the Vital Records WikiProject about two weeks ago. Its purpose is to select the most notable articles in every subject on Wikipedia and then ensure that they become Featured Articles and that they stay Featured Articles. They are in the selection process right now. No one is making any entries in the Individual Animals section under Cattle. So I have added some entries. See what I mean here: [3].
I really could use your opinion as well so it's not just one person giving their input as to what bulls (or cows) are in this category. I have added the following cattle in this category. Also, the quota is not yet set in this category so we can add more to the list than just the 8 that are there now. Here's what I have so far. And it's just a selection of the most notable cattle in history (and it's not just limited to bucking bulls, any cattle) and it doesn't have to be ordered by first to last. That part doesn't matter. There won't be any list of first to last that I am aware. It's just let's make these featured articles. Some one had added Bodacious; they got that right. I added the rest. I put them in alphabetical order. I included Red Rock because I wanted to have at least one from the ProRodeo Hall of Fame; there are only 7 inducted. Most of them do not have enough material to make a Featured Article. dawnleelynn (talk) 17:15, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
Hello, Dawn. Long time to talk. I hope you are doing great. I recently made some changes to the Wikipedia Bull Riding Page. I added more countries where bull riding takes place. I also put Central America instead of naming all the countries. All seven Central American countries have bull riding, each with different variations. I also removed Argentina from the list. While that country does have its own style of rodeo, there is no bull riding of any kind in its culture. I tried looking online for articles, photos and videos to no avail. I wonder who thought that bull riding exists in Argentina in the first place. I hope you can accept these changes. Uricarrillo94 ( talk) 07:03, 8 September 2018 (UTC)
Hello, Dawn. I recently made more changes to the Bull Riding Page. This time in regards to Championship Bull Riding (CBR). The whole deal was a bit confusing to me, but I’ll explain what I understood. Back in May, the PBR website put out an article saying that they would produce the 2018 CBR World Finals in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Not only that, but that it would be a one-day event with the PBR having a Touring Pro Division event the day before. Also, that the CBR Bull Team Challenge would now take place at PBR events. It took me a while to realize that 2018 would be CBR’s last season. Since Tuff Hedeman left to start his own tour, I can imagine this did financial damage to CBR. The thing is I don’t know whether to say that Championship Bull Riding is defunct or not. Like I said, the Bull Team Challenge is now a PBR competition, but it appears it is its own separate company. The CBR website is now dedicated to the Bull Team Challenge, but its headquarters is still called “Championship Bull Riding” and the CBR Facebook Page is now called “CBR Bull Team Challenge”. Also, I did a small change to the J.W. Harris page. I put that he competed there from 2009-2014, then again in 2018. Like many top PRCA bull riders, Harris also competed in CBR. He qualified for the CBR Finals from 2009-2011, then again in 2013 and 2014. He competed there in 2012, but as an alternate. When he left the PBR after 2017 to rodeo again, he competed at the first CBR event of 2018. Uricarrillo94 ( talk) 00:04, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
I see the Canadian Professional Rodeo Association draft was deleted because the deadline came and went without any activity to finish it. This one is my bad; I told you I would work on it. But I missed putting it on my todo list it seems. However, there is an opportunity to restore it in the deletion notice. Would you like me to restore it and work on it? We still should have the article and represent Canadian rodeo. Let me know. I'll make sure it doesn't fall off again. It shouldn't take that long to at least make the minimum requirement for an article. Sorry about that. dawnleelynn (talk) 20:18, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
Hello, Dawn. I recently added a section to the Bull Riding Page in its North America section. It involves prestigious bull riding tours from the past: Bull Riders Only (BRO) and Championship Bull Riding (CBR). I added brief historical summaries to both of them. Since CBR already has its own Wikipedia page, I feel BRO deserves its own as well. The thing is, BRO’s history is more hard to come by. I know some of its history, but not much. Also, I think we can say that CBR is indeed defunct. I figured that the actual name of the bull team challenge is the “Million Dollar Bull Team Challenge” as it says on its website. I would say that it deserves its own Wikipedia Page, entitled “Bull Team Challenge” since it may change its name in the future. I hope you can accept these additions. Uricarrillo94 ( talk) 23:46, 9 October 2018 (UTC)
Hello, Dawn. I just created the Bull Riders Only (BRO) Wikipedia page, but I could really use some help. The page is has not been accepted as official, and I struggle with citations. I hope you can help me with that. The first paragraph just talks about how the organization was founded and the citation for that should be the FundingUniverse article. The second paragraph talks about top PRCA bull riders competing in BRO events, and also what channels BRO events were televised in. On YouTube, there a number of BRO videos. One is titled, “Bull Riders Only-Bucking Bulls” that shows a BRO event televised on ESPN. Another YouTube video titled “NFR & Bull Riders Only” Shows the 1996 BRO world finals on Fox. The first half is of the 1993 NFR bull riding, but the second half is of the BRO event. I hope these videos can be used as citations. The entire third paragraph is about where each annnual BRO world finals took place. There is a YouTube video titled “Wrangler Bull Riders Only-Best of Final Rounds”. It is an old VHS tape highlighting the 1991-1994 BRO world finals short rounds. I hope it can be used to cite the world finals paragraph. The fourth paragraph is about what caused top bull riders to form the PBR, and for that I hope the “Fried Twinkies” book section can be used. The final paragraph talks about BRO’s demise and I hope somehow the FundingUniverse article can be used to cite it. Where it talks about the 1996 world finals being a factor in BRO going out of business is something I learned from an old PBR documentary called “This Is Not A Rodeo”. I hope you can help me out when you have a chance. I felt the BRO Wikipedia page needed to be made because, a number of people think the PBR was the beginning of stand-alone bull riding when that is not the case. If it was not for BRO, and previously before that with unsanctioned bull riding events, the PBR would probably have never existed.

Hello, Dawn. I recently made a few changes to the Bodacious Page. I put that the BRO event in Long Beach, California between Bodacious and Tuff Hedeman was the 1993 BRO World Finals. The ride is included on the YouTube video of the BRO World Finals Championship round highlights of 1991 to 1994, as well as separately of that one ride on YouTube. If it had not been for that old highlight VHS tape being uploaded to YouTube, I would have never known it was the World Finals and not a regular season event. Also, I put that Bodacious bucked off Brent Thurman at the 1994 BRO World Finals in Denver, Colorado, during the Championship round. That ride is also included on the 1991-1994 BRO World Finals tape on YouTube, as well as separately. I’ve noticed that you have cited many matchups against Bodacious, and the ride with Brent Thurman is also available separately on YouTube. Just type Brent Thurman vs. Bodacious. I just made these changes to add what was missing that I knew about. Thank You Very Much! Uricarrillo94 ( talk) 04:24, 25 October 2018 (UTC)
Also, Dawn. I also made changes to the section that talks about the match-ups between Clint Branger and Jerome Davis in Guthrie, Oklahoma. From 1994 to 1998, the PBR Premier Series had two events in Guthrie, one in the winter and one in the summer. The 1995 ride with Clint Branger was the one in January. I know this because, Clint himself as well as the riders behind the chutes and also the chute workers are all wearing felt hats. That ride is available on YouTube. Unfortunately, the Jerome Davis buck-off by itself is not available on YouTube, but I know this was the Guthrie event in September because, I saw the ride myself, but in a small sampling of an old PBR documentary. The ride itself is available on a YouTube video entitled, “bodacious bull riding” with all lowercased letters. The thumbnail is of Tuff Hedeman on a hospital bed with a swollen face. Some rides of the September 1995 PBR event in Guthrie is available on YouTube, but not the Jerome Davis one. I know this was the September one because, Jerome Davis was wearing a straw hat, and the videos of the other rides has the riders as well as the majority of the riders behind the chutes and also the chute workers wearing straw hats. Back then, it was hard for the records of rides to be kept, and I can see it was easy to confuse two different events that took place in the same city.

Hi Uricarillo94, I had this draft article on my Watchlist. Sorry to see this got declined. I will see if anything can be done to rescue it. Like I did for the CPRA article. I know there are not a lot of resources for it. But I think I saw some more info on it last time I had the "Fried Twinkies..." book checked out from the library. Also, I have free accounts through Wikipedia (otherwise expensive) with newspapers.com and newspaper archive.com and might be able to find sources there. I also know some editors who have been around a long time I can ask. dawnleelynn (talk) 00:13, 8 December 2018 (UTC)

An article you recently created,
Bull Riders Only, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from
reliable,
independent sources. (
?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (
verifiability is of
central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to
draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's
general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
