Information icon Hello, I'm Toddy1. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Kashmir Valley, but you didn't provide a reliable source. Please could you add a citation. There was a citation for the old text, but it did not support it, so I have moved the old citation to "external links" and added a citation needed tag to your text. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Toddy1 ( talkcontribs) 08:36, 30 April 2021 (UTC) reply

DS Alert

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled " Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to Indian Himalayan Region does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → Tick Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Kautilya3 ( talk) 05:28, 7 May 2021 (UTC) reply

Information icon Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Hunza Valley. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Kautilya3 ( talk) 14:45, 21 May 2021 (UTC) reply

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to use edit summaries that are misleading, intentionally or not, as you did at Jammu and Kashmir (union territory), you may be blocked from editing. -- Toddy1 (talk) 20:51, 26 May 2021 (UTC) reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Western Himalaya, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Dalhousie, Manali and Amarnath. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot ( talk) 06:09, 27 May 2021 (UTC) reply

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Doda district, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. Yamaguchi先生 ( talk) 17:59, 7 October 2021 (UTC) reply

Thanks for your help, however, you have reverted two of my edits, containing three portions (addition of image, addition of information, linking to main page), and provided reason for only one of the removal, leaving the other two unexplained. I am restoring the other two (addition of image, linking to main page). You have also tagged the information added by me as original research per your assumption that a reliable, published source does not exist for it, despite the fact that other sources already referenced in the article can be used to verify the information. Please consider using the citation needed tag instead.

Request reason:

I have recently been blocked from making any edits using the {{Checkuser block}} on my IP address by User: Materialscientist. At first I did not understand the reason, I’m not completely sure that I still do, and I may have been collateral damage. But it may have happened because I have another account that I have used from my IP address. Firstly, I made the other account for only one reason: I have forgotten the password for this account, and I do not have any email linked. However, this account is logged into on my phone app. This can be verified since every edit I make says ‘made using iOs app.’ So I made another account, with an email linked, which I used to make edits on browser. ‘’’I was not aware that this is not allowed.’’’ Now that I am aware, I have logged out of my other account and do not intend to use that account till the time I have access to this one. I have never made edits using the other account that I would not make using this account. Moreover, I have ‘’’not’’’ made edits using these two accounts in a way that would be considered actively deceptive (e.g. trying to reach consensus, or participating in discussions, with both accounts with the intention of pretending to be two different people supporting one claim or argument). This can also be verified by going through my contributions. ‘’’Please consider reversing this block, since the breach happened out of ignorance, not malice and I have now learned what is allowed and what isn’t.’’’ Now that I am aware of this policy, I have made the required changes to confirm to the policy. A general look at my contributions will tell you that my edits have been constructive and reliably sourced. Additionally, I also have at times made edits while logged into this account, and while logged out (i.e. using my IP address). But ‘’’never’’’ with the intention of pretending to be two different people, and never on the same page simultaneously or side by side. Only reason in such a case was convenience (i.e. if I was on browser and not the app). I am not sure if this is against the policies, or if this has contributed to current block in any way, but I would refrain from doing this as well.

Decline reason:

This account is not directly blocked. If you are unable to edit, please exactly follow the instructions which appear when you attempt to do so. Yamla ( talk) 09:45, 12 October 2021 (UTC) reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{ unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
