Hello. I wanna know do I have to do more with the Moriori Enslavement article? I thought I would've gotten a notification about it by now. I51iM ( talk) 16:11, 10 May 2024 (UTC)
Dear ToadetteEdit,
I do not understand why you declined this submission on May 6, 2024. Your post says "In summary, the draft needs to meet any of the eight academic-specific criteria" the fifth criteria of which is "The person has held a distinguished professor appointment at a major institution of higher education and research, a named chair appointment that indicates a comparable level of achievement, or an equivalent position in countries where named chairs are uncommon." The first line of the bio explains clearly that the subject currently has a distinguished professor appointment, and, additionally, the first line under "Professional and Academic Career" documents clearly that the subject has held multiple named chair appointments. This would seem to be dispositive, more than meeting the criteria under the guidelines.
Additionally, the subject's top rankings in citation and SSRN metrics would seem to easily satisfy the first criterion of "The person's research has had a significant impact in their scholarly discipline, broadly construed, as demonstrated by independent reliable sources."
I did not create this profile, but I did edit it and I am a student in the field and so have some expertise. I will revise the profile some and resubmit. But I would appreciate it if you could please explain to me if I am somehow misunderstanding the criteria or whether your decision was an oversight or whether the profile somehow did not convey the information in the proper way.
Thank you! JDtoBee ( talk) 19:15, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
I am so confused with the matter right now. I've declined the draft as needing more sources to establish notability and it hasn't been shown yet. It was accepted three days ago only for it to be challenged and ultimately draftified. I do not have any issues with the draft post-draftification but after looking at the draft's talk page and your talk page, and claiming that you have no relation with the subject and an expert in the topic area feels that the conflict of interests may be escalated to sanctions. I do not see you as having a conflict of interest but I will look onto your contributions shortly to find that did you exclusively edited the draft (let aside talk pages) or not. Hello. The template tells me to click 'new section' but I do not see a tab 'new section'. I replied to your message on my talk page. I did not realise I had to alert you here to the fact I had done so. I would be grateful for clarification and further advice. Also you or another has changed the title of this draft submission from Colin William fforde Wyatt to Colin William Wyatt. Is this to identify the second draft submission? Because this would be an incorrect title for a final version. I would prefer to use the simple "Colin Wyatt". I only began with the subject's full name because of another Colin Wyatt. Thank you. IonaFyne ( talk) 15:25, 15 May 2024 (UTC)
I only began with the subject's full name because of another Colin Wyatt, then I suggest that it would be disambiguated. Hope that helps! Toadette Edit! 01:02, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
Hi friend! Several weeks ago, the draft for Bryan Leach was declined due to the references not showing that the subject qualifies for page. I updated the draft to include some more complete information based on comments from other editors and also added some more extensive sources like the Wall Street Journal, Yahoo Finance and NY Times. The company which Bryan Leach founded went public last month and there has been more coverage with additional details. Would you be kind enough to take a look and see if this has satisfied the bar for a new page. Thanks so much! Flyguyz93 ( talk) 16:34, 15 May 2024 (UTC)

You knew from the beginning the RfA would fail. Your RfA process inadvertently created an unexpected issue which the community will be forced to prevent from happening again. For your
courageous and
reckless decision to run for sysop after closing your own failed
test, I give you this hard to define (but invaluable) barnstar. May you live long and prosper, Toadette. I failed an RfA badly myself once. Your edits and your energy since the failed run are quite good. You seem a more serious wikipedian. Good for all of us! BusterD ( talk) 16:59, 19 May 2024 (UTC) |
Hello, ToadetteEdit. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.
Please take a moment to review
Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially
the criteria for moving pages without leaving a redirect. Please remember to follow
post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using
Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to
secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status
can be revoked.

You moved Sanusi Lamido Sanusi incorrectly. We don't do technical requests for controversial moves, and when there has been previous discussion of the move, it is always treated as controversial. DrKay ( talk) 16:35, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
Hi Toadette. I have added ISSN numbers and publishers for most of my references, and created a gallery of jpg and pdf images on the Wilf Perreault page. Could you give it a glance and let me know if I should resubmit? Thank you so much for all your help and advice! Eisbergsk ( talk) 21:48, 25 May 2024 (UTC) Eisbergsk ( talk) 21:48, 25 May 2024 (UTC)
