Dweller,
I've been going strong on Wikipedia all month.
Now that the new lesson is up at the VC and the (sidebar) proposals I was working on have run their course, I need a wikibreak.
I would really appreciate it if you and Anthony would watch over the VC while I'm gone, and coach the other participants there. You guys have plenty of experience to pass along, so I have every confidence in you.
The key to coaching is to keep things interesting. You guys are very creative, and you'll do just fine.
I should be back in a couple of weeks or so.
Thank you.

On the lesson, shoot for the 7th of April or right around there. Don't forget to post a notice on the Community Bulletin Board when it's done, and add it to the template "VC lessons". I also post a notice as a message to the Help desk (that's also a great place to ask for proofreading/copy-editing assistance. {{

When I decided to go on my Wikibreak, I had failed to take into account that I'm a mediator for a dispute over the article about Paytakaran (Armenian province). I've stuck around a little longer to make some new posts on the talk page there to help move things along while I'm gone, but in case those do not resolve the matter, I've posted a notice on the talk page there referring them to my substitutes (you guys), and advised them to contact you here on this talk page if they need further assistance.
The main issues revolve around the scope of the article and sources. Your FAC experience should help you immensely in helping to resolve this dispute. I've been maintaining neutrality, and have been restricting my input for the most part to policy clarifications, observations, suggestions, and editing the article according to the prevailing consensus (the participants are restricting their input primarily to the talk page leaving me to do the edits). I have restrained from voting, so please don't take sides, unless you can take both sides to smooth things out. Good luck, and sorry I didn't mention this before. I totally spaced it. Have fun.
I'm outa here!

Hi there. I also took an unexpected Wikibreak as RL interfered. I gave your active students some tasks, as you'll see. TRM and I are about to resume work on our current FA project, which is getting close, but I'm happy to work up the lesson with or without his aid. Blnguyen's also given me some extra tasks at my editor review... and I'm also broadening my XfD experience, so it'll be a few weeks I'd guess. Is that OK? On 03:57, 6 August 2006 as Polar Deluge, you posted what I've termed a warning to jossi about unconsensed POV additions to Wikipedia:List guideline. Unfortunately he has repeated this behavior. What he did was actually more serious, but I'm giving him a chance to back off of his forced addition of the unconsensed "List contents" section before taking him to WP:AN, where he would also face ethics charges.
In the mean time, the actual content he wants added was specifically written to take down "List of groups referred to as cults", of which he was the original VfD/AfD opponent. I think his motive is that he belongs to an organization that has been referred to as a cult.
As I read his unconsensed text, all lists containing any significant degree of other peoples' opinions and value judgments (not Wikipedia's) could be deleted, which I find to be a monumental tampering with Wikipedia content. Opinions are central to the interpretation of history. A list of such interpretations could be deleted by, for example, nationalists with whom Wikipedia already has a huge problem in their suppression of unfavorable reporting. A list of opinions by scientists who agree or disagree about the reality of global warming could be taken down. It goes on and on.
In the second paragraph, the idea that any one item in a list must be a "widely held opinion" breaks new ground on disallowing otherwise reliable sources, barely to mention the illogic of mandating discovery of widely held opinions after deprecating opinions in the first paragraph.
I hope you will participate in rolling back this hastily concocted power grab at Wikipedia_talk:List_guideline#List_contents. Milo 19:37, 5 May 2007 (UTC)

helpme}} is also useful for finding copy editors, and since you'll be helping users learn the ropes with the lesson, someone will generally respond to lend a hand. I hope that helps. Good luck. And have fun.

Anthony,
I've been going strong on Wikipedia all month.
Now that the new lesson is up at the VC and the (sidebar) proposals I was working on have run their course, I need a wikibreak.
I would really appreciate it if you and Dweller would watch over the VC while I'm gone, and coach the other participants there. You guys have plenty of experience to pass along, so I have every confidence in you.
The key to coaching is to keep things interesting. You guys are very creative, and you'll do just fine.
I should be back in a couple of weeks or so.
Thank you.
The Transhumanist 19:16, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
P.S.: I've asked Dweller to answer my messages for me. I'd appreciate it if you'd watch my other pages (User Page Design Center, tools page, etc.). Good luck to you guys with the VC. The Transhumanist 19:29, 22 March 2007 (UTC)

P.S.: The proposals and supporting evidence of each side is on a subpage of the talk page there. --TT
Popped in to handle another loose-end I forgot and made my usual rounds I was here - I noticed something:
Someone has been moving some of the following pages without discussion:
(Overviews, Academia, Basic, Glossaries, and Tables.)
Please watch all the above pages until I get back. Thanks.

I am interested in eliminating the Wikipedia:backlog. I would be quite happy with myself doing that :) I don't think I can do it all by myself, so what project, or group is together that is working on that as a whole, or are we stuck with just each of the sections? Hello, I'm honoured that you picked my userpage as one of many that are well-designed or at least interesting. I just wanted to point out that I've changed accounts, from User:Tachikoma to User:Kyoko, because I'm not used to being called "Tachikoma" and it began to irritate me. I suggest looking at my more recent page revisions, which I think are much better than the one you have featured. While you're at it, User:Kyo cat (who is also listed in your gallery) is now User:Tohru Honda13, so you might check her page for updates too. Thanks again. -- Kyok o 19:56, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Is that OK? Stylistically, do you want it to follow a proforma? -- Dweller 07:42, 13 April 2007 (UTC)
