Welcome aboard and have a pleasant stay! - Dan Dank55 ( talk)( mistakes) 17:08, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
I see you're doing quite a bit of cleanup work on this article. I think they are largely constructive, useful, and generally a good thing, but I think you may find some people take exception to removal of cited content, such as with these edits: [1] [2] [3]. I am not exactly complaining, but it might be a good idea to take some of these to the talk page before deleting them wholesale. For example, I agree that weasel words are not appropriate, but if it is a direct quote from the source (which it may well be), then maybe we need to edit the text to reflect that rather than deleting it. Frank | talk 21:30, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
The one on the spam page - I do apologise for it - it was flippant and likely inappropriate. My only defence was I guess it was "one of those days". I'd say something on the page but the conversation has gone elsewhere. Sorry -- Herby talk thyme 13:18, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
hi - i'm so curious about the photo of George Sand you uploaded ( Image:George Sand edit.jpg). i've been a fan of hers for quite some time and have never seen that shot before. where did you find it? and does the source give a date? thanks for any info you have. [Please note: In the below post, I am addressing ONLY the following statements made by HU12, and nothing else: "First, Adam Nicholson,[...]this is a MediaWiki page and is not a platform for your personal views[...]You are not here to build an encyclopedia, you are here for your own adjena [sic]. Faulting trusted, high-volume, etablished administrative volunteers for engaging in harmless humorous banter with other trusted, high-volume etablished [sic] volunteers is wholey [sic] inapropriate [sic]." I have no opinion about Nicholson's request for whitelisting, nor am I addressing WP policy regarding white/blacklisting.]
Hu12:
I understand you to be telling Nicholson (and all at-large visitors to this page):
*Cheers*. Very well said, Sugarbat. Thank you. I just reviewed this case myself and I think you've said it perfectly. I was shocked by the comments and behaviour and went to Hu12's page to see if he was open to recall when I noticed the userbox, fourth from the top, which, while intended to be ironic and humorous is sadly a very apt description of this user. I see you were listed as a participant in the League of Copy-Editors so it seems likely you can ... The thing is the Military history wikiproject urgently needs prose pros to help with our best articles. Milhist covers a broad range of interesting and varied subjects from film to biography, battles to weaponry, and Roman emperors to twentieth-century dictators. In Milhist, A-Class has become the last port of call before FAC and we are looking for people to help identify prose and MoS issues at A-Class A-Class Reviews and help fix them prior to featured article candidacy. We also have a copy-editing section in our Logistics Dept and that can always use experienced copy-editors. For most of our articles, you don't need to be a specialist in the subject matter, just good with words.
If you think you can help, please do! Thanks for your time, -- ROGER DAVIES talk 04:20, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

On July 8th 2007, the Detroit Free Press published a story about a former Detroit Police Officer named Jeff Hansen who claimed that he discovered cremation ovens at the Grand Lawn Cemetery, which is only a few blocks away from the house in Detroit where Frank Sheeran claimed to have killed Jimmy Hoffa.* [4]
Why was the article link and the July 8th 2007 paragraph deleted? It was verified, was written by myself, not anyone associated with spectre publishing. This is over editing at its worst. -- Nugglesmom ( talk) 23:14, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
I found you at the now defunct League of copyeditors, and I am really hoping that you can help the article. The article failed an FAC mostly because of irregularities in citation format. But, it also needs a brush up on the copy and a proof reading job. Sorry for dropping in uninvited, but would you consider helping it, please? Aditya( talk • contribs) 00:18, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
Yes, the name Gaol fever was in common usage for typhus in England and English speaking countries for many years. i.e. In 1577, at the Black Assize at Oxford, there died of the gaol fever two judges, the sheriff of the county, two knights, several justices of the peace ... The term is often capitalized and redirects to the typhus page. Best wishes. WBardwin ( talk) 20:52, 26 February 2010 (UTC)
Its a questionable policy (IMHO) to be deleting links that dont yet have a page written form them. The term microgametocyte is a 'term of art' (it refers to a specific thing and the the usage here would probably qualify as jargon). This isn't a big deal here - its just a page I have yet to write for WP but its probably not a great idea to do this in general. DrMicro ( talk) 15:55, 2 August 2011 (UTC)

The file File:George Sand edit.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
unused, low-res, no obvious use
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the

files for discussion allows discussion to reach
