I've removed the tag on that article, please look at the talk page for my reasoning.
Additionally I've taken a quick look through your contribs and you seem to be mass tagging a bunch of Free Software software articles using Twinkle. I don't have the time to go through and review each of them, but some are suspect like the one you did on SIMILE Timeline. I'm fairly positive given enough time folks (read myself) can dig up notability citations for these articles.
Of course not all of your taggings are questionable. Good work on tagging Edius. I'd almost lean towards that being deleted as an advertisement only. It is one of those borderline things :S.
Anyway I'll probably have to go through your proposed deletion taggings and remove the tags on those I feel can be sourced. My only problem is actually sourcing these takes substantially more time than automatically tagging them with twinkle and I'd ask that you give me sufficient time to attempt to demonstrate notability before tagging these with AfD tags. Hi, can you please explain whats wrong with the debconf article? I don't understand why in this case there is needed another layer of "informationabstraction" (for example an magazine writing about debconf) when you can get the facts from debconf.org. As a participant at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Common Dead, would you explain how you came to the conclusion that Common Dead fails WP:MUSIC? In other words, what was your opinion of the sources? This is essential to determine whether the article should be relisted or kept deleted. I am inclined to support relisting but am willing to be swayed if the "delete" votes did not consider the sources sufficient or reliable enough to establish notability. Dear Mr Stuart Yeates,
I am not sure if this is the right place to send you a note. I am very interested in helping Wikipedidia, especially in fields where I have accumulated significant amounts of knowledge over many years. One area that I am especially fond of is the information about classical Brazilian composers. I met Mr. Villa Lobos personally, many years ago, as a child, I sung in one of his huge choruses. I have been following new works since an early age.
I am not quite an academic, but I have a passion for the topic and I have been attending concerts of the genre and reading classical reviews for more than 50 years, both in Brazil and in the USA. I have realized that I need to be more academic in my contributions to Wikipedia, if I want to clarify some misunderstandings that normally appear in Anglo-saxon publications about Brazilian culture in general. Nonetheless, I have been reading the sources and trying to comply with the standards at Wikipedia.
Regarding Tamanduá - A Brazilian opera: I cannot prove with complete certainty that it is the only work in Brazilian Portuguese ever produced in the USA. Yet I do believe it is the case as I can say that in all my research I could not find any other work that meets these criteria.
Please advice on how to proceed in this case.
Thank you very much for your kind attention.
Yours,
Humberto Giaccomo de Holanda Humbertoego ( talk) 03:55, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I noticed you have been prodding a lot of articles, but that you're "hit" rate has not been very high. Note that a lack of references or an article being orphaned for a while are not sufficient reasons for an articles to be deleted (even though they are often a good indicated that they should be.) Also, WP:PROD is only intended for "uncontroversial" deletions (i.e. where you reasonably expect to gat a unanimous consensus for deletion), not as a way to get out from under AfD. Cheers, — Ruud 10:28, 13 October 2011 (UTC)
Hi Stuartyeates - first of all thanks for the editing on the page, your work has been very gratefully received (its my first Wiki page so I am learning as I go) - in regards to the "radical lesbian feminist" tag I have two reasons for deleting it: 1. I know Melanie well and even though (as you say) the subject has no say in an Wiki entry she feels that that label does not best represent her or her work (take into account the quote was given in the late 80's by Melanie's recollection and there has been a lot of ideological water under the bridge since then). 2. Melanie is best known for her filmaking, not for any other political activities - it makes as much sense to call Jane Campion a filmaker and a feminist on her page - many thanks for your attention, kind regards sammystuffed Sammystuffed ( talk) 14:17, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
Hi Stuart - yes I will try to find a source but I also think its a matter of common sense too - the subject is a filmaker primarily - if she were a christian and made christian themed films that would be secondary to the achievement of making the films themselves - but I take your point and will try and find a published source - again thanks for your help -sammystuffed Sammystuffed ( talk) 02:05, 21 October 2011 (UTC)
Toward your comment at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Jenna Rose (3rd nomination) that you feel her having multiple viral video releases and coverage since 2009 is somehow a BLP1E, might you feel an incubation for a few months might make sense, specially as the article NOW is in far better shape than it was when it was renominated 20 days after a keep. Hi Stuartyeates, Articles for Deletion (AfD) is not a vote, so it is incumbent on people "discussing" articles there to give a valid reason for keeping or deleting. I’m a newcomer to Wikipedia. I joined because I’m completing a PhD on Collaborative Intelligence, saw that the article was poor and wanted to put in place a framework so others could contribute. Since joining in September, my main contribution is a new Wiki bio page on Israeli physicist Eshel Ben-Jacob (whose work is relevant for Collaborative Intelligence). That page is now a Wiki Israel project. My objective was to continue to add short articles relevant to Collaborative Intelligence, some of which might be stubs for awhile.
Proposed Method – If the Collaborative Intelligence article is viewed as a process of engaging the collaborative intelligence of Wikipedia contributors (and others who may not be Wikipedians but who are doing relevant research), i.e. itself an experiment in Collaborative Intelligence, then it should start with a framework to which others can contribute, i.e. not completely loaded with content at the start.
eg. I attended CrowdConf 2011 on November 2 where many spoke about the next generation of crowd-sourcing platforms that can enable effective aggregation and collaborative intelligence. I aimed to engage leaders in the crowdsourcing community to contribute to the section of the Wikipedia Collaborative Intelligence article entitled Crowdsourcing – Precursor Platform for Collaborative Intelligence

This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Hello, I lost my temper a little in the following writing. I have been apart of Wikipedia for a long time and have donated to continue the growth of this wonderful website. I have spent a lot of my time analyzing the structure of Wikipedia articles and it has taken me more than a year to get together enough material to warrant an article. Then i was met immediate resistance to the publication of this article "Trenzalore". There were no compromises just the immediate deletion of the article. I was not even given the chance to make correction to the article. Please rethink your stance on the topic at hand. Wikipedia does not have firm rules. Rules in Wikipedia are not carved in stone, and their wording and interpretation are likely to change over time. The principles and spirit of Wikipedia's rules matter more than their literal wording, and sometimes improving Wikipedia requires making an exception to a rule. Be bold (but not reckless) in updating articles and do not worry about making mistakes. Your efforts do not need to be perfect; prior versions are saved, so no damage is irreparable. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jerrydeanrsmith ( talk • contribs) 05:16, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Hi. back in October you proposed the merge of these articles. Unfortunately you didn't provide any rationale or start any discussion on the relevant talk pages, leaving those of us who are interested in improving these articles a little perplexed.
I imagine that you feel that:
The first of these points is debatable, however the page ALGOL 68S both describes (admittedly poorly) the "official" sublanguage and two implementations of it. Since other ALGOL 68 implementations have their own pages perhaps ALGOL 68S deserves one?
The second point is perhaps better served by a rewrite of tbe (poor) ALGOL 68RS page. I am currently working on one, at user:HughesJohn/Sandbox/ALGOL 68RS.
In conclusion, what is your feeling, as the merge proposer, and, as far as I can see the only (undeclared) supporter of the merge, if we close the merge discussion for now?
I, and I guess others, feel that it might be worth, at a later date, discussing the merger of the different ALGOL 68 implementations pages, assuming that doesn't produce an unreadable mess. Do you have any input?
Whadaya think? HughesJohn ( talk) 22:35, 6 December 2011 (UTC)

Stuartyeates (talk) 19:43, 9 December 2011 (UTC)" It's up to you if you want to keep doing this, but it suggests you are not being very thorough in forming your opinion when you post the exact same remark every single time you participate, which reduces the weight given to your position when making a close. In the case of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Adventure of Exham Priory in particular, you seem to have entirely missed the same point as the nominator, that this is a short story published in an anthology and not a stand-alone book. The nominator seemed genuinely unaware of this, but it had already been mentioned at AFD before you copied in your standard remark, suggesting you did not read the other comments at all. These discussions are supposed to be just that, discussions, not voting. Further, if you choose to participate in a discussion, normally you watch that discussion to see if anything changes, instead of trying to assign that duty to someone else. Again, you are not breaking any policies per se, just thought you should be aware of the impression created by such drive-by style participation in discussions. You have recently been adding a number of stubs on people included in the Dictionary of New Zealand Biography. these stubs have however been so short as to give no real information for why the person might possibly be important, and I strongly urge you to include some more information from the usually long and detailed entries there. I have my strong doubts that people such as Joseph Zillwood are actually notable in any real sense, and I might even be prepared to argue at AfD that this particular national bio was indiscriminate. A tag has been placed on Ann Robertson requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

As a participant at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Common Dead, would you explain how you came to the conclusion that Common Dead fails WP:MUSIC? In other words, what was your opinion of the sources? This is essential to determine whether the article should be relisted or kept deleted.
Yours,

Hi, I noticed you have been prodding a lot of articles, but that you're "hit" rate has not been very high. Note that a lack of references or an article being orphaned for a while are not sufficient reasons for an articles to be deleted (even though they are often a good indicated that they should be.) Also, WP:PROD is only intended for "uncontroversial" deletions (i.e. where you reasonably expect to gat a unanimous consensus for deletion), not as a way to get out from under AfD.

Hi Stuartyeates, could you please take another look at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Connexus Ecosystem, I've considered your comments and made some changes. Thank you Kelliott14 ( talk) 15:32, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
Hi Stuartyeates. I have undeleted an article which you recently tagged with a {{ prod}}. This was done in concurrence with the admin who deleted the page. I feel that the subject of the article is notable, though I agree that the article requires substantial clean up and addition of reliable sources. If you still feel that deletion is warranted, please seek community consensus through the articles for deletion process. Thank you! — Nearly Headless Nick {C} 10:47, 30 December 2011 (UTC)
Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on John Mackintosh Roberts requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. JetBlast ( talk) 09:53, 14 January 2012 (UTC)
