For Barnstar and GA review. I would like have your comments about Matrikas. I am currently expanding the article. I am also GA reviewing an article for the first time. I will contact you if i need help in the review.-- Redtigerxyz ( talk) 04:55, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Sri, I appreciate the work you have been doing, but there is still a lot of concern (not just from me) about the British Columbia page. The main concern is that most of the quotes on the page seem to have nothing to do with British Columbia, or to not be particularly about British Columbia. Are you under the impression that any notable quote by a notable British Columbian belongs on this page? If so, that's not the way things work at Wikiquote. I understand that you have a portal that you would like to maintain, and are trying to put the quotations in Wikiquote, which is fine and good, but the way to do it would be to set up separate pages from separate topics, and then cross-reference them from your portal. For instance, you could certainly have a page on Emily Carr, who is notable and whose quotes are notable. You could probably have a page about British Columbia too, but you would need to keep to topic on it (that is, only notable quotes clearly about British Columbia.
Going through the quotes on the page, here are my comments:
If some of these (other than the one i mention) are really about BC, you need to explain why. The standard wikiquote format, which you haven't used, would be useful here. Here's an example:
But the source had better bear out the fact that the person really is talking about some experience or quality unique to BC, not just an impression he happened to have just because he happened to be in BC or because he was born there. Do you understand what I mean? -- ubiquity ( talk) 15:53, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the good works. And the citations, 108 and 109 were moved to another URL and now I've placed the current URL to the article. And the page cited in 'citation 75' was missing and I don't find it through search engines. So I removed it from the article. Please refer to the article and it's talk page. Once again thanks very much for your good suggestions and works. - PAUL RAJ 20:27, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

User:SriMesh, User:Ncmvocalist had reassesed the Ayyavazhi article and had still clamed that the article lacks Good prose, MOS guidelines, Fair Use rationales, the article is not in focus, ect. He had also made suggestions. Can you please help in maintaining it.
Leave the reference section, i will prove its relaiability and hence the article's NPOV. But I need help in the above issues. Thanks - PAUL RAJ 09:02, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
I'm sure there are other articles that have managed to find a way of 'getting around' issues like the one that you have mentioned. However, if it is indeed impossible to make the prose both well written, and clear throughout the article (even with respect to these names), then the article is destined to staying at a B grade as it does not come up to the required standard of other articles that are at a higher grade.
So, instead of making a separate sentence for explaining that the name has changed, incorporate it into the previous sentence in which the name was used. So in effect, you should be tightening the expression of the article so that every sentence is focused on the heading under which you've written it, rather than having indirectly relevent sentences floating around. Eg; Instead of having "Ayyavazhi began to be noticed initially by the large number of people gathering to worship Vaikundar (birth name 'Mudisoodum Perumal' )[28] (1809 C.E – 1851 C.E)[29] at Poovandanthoppe. Poovandanthoppe is the name of a village now called Swamithoppe. The Thuvayal thavasu..." -> try "Ayyavazhi began to be noticed initially by the large number of people gathering at the village, Poovandanthoppe to worship Vaikundar...." So a reader can click on Poovandanthoppe and after being redirected to the Swamithoppe article, the first sentence states that Swamithoppe was previously known as Poovandanthoppe. Similarly, the fact that there is no article on Vaikundar is another major concern. Anyway, good luck! Ncmvocalist ( talk) 04:02, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Hi SriMesh. How are you doing? Sorry I haven't been too helpful lately. I have been quite busy and haven't put in a lot of Wikipedia time in recently. Actually, I have another project (i.e. article) or two that I hope to work on before I would be able to find time to get back to the Saskatchewan quotes stuff. Did you end up finding the file you saved from the old SiPC article? If you are eager to do more work on the Sask quotes and want me to send you what I saved from the old SiPC article I could. But I don't want it to seem like I'm dumping extra work on you when I said that I was going to help you. I know you would probably appreciate someone else to jump in there and help you along. But I will try to get back to the quotes thing sooner or later. Bye for now, and take care! Moisejp ( talk) 02:51, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

Well it appears that St. Lina is in Alberta, so it looks like an error. However, I'm at home right now and don't have access to the manual. I'll double check it later when I get to work. By the way the next one I created right after that was Estevan (Blue Sky) Aerodrome so St. Lina is probably not near Estevan. THanks for seeing it. The thing most frustrating with the portal is that the images which are fair use for the articles, are not remaining on the portal which refers to the articles. Would like to know how to proceed...not use fair use images for a portal, do a fair use explanation for each image used on the portal or what have you. Kind Regards.

Hey. I fixed the Saskatchewan shield template in {{ Infobox road}} to use a variation of Pomte's shield template on all articles. You can see it in action on Saskatchewan Highway 58. I'm also in the process of developing a Saskatchewan junction template (that, with some tricky code, could probably be expanded for any Canadian province) that will simplify the amount of code required to generate a junction table. You passed this article yesterday. Unfortunately, I have found several issues with the GA criteria that need to be addressed, so I think your passing it was a little premature. The article will be delisted from WP:GA in one week unless the issues are resolved.
Also, when passing GAs, please do not start a new main section for 'successful good article nomination'. Please keep the article pass in the same main section as the review. This will make things much easier when reviews are archived at a later point. Dr. Cash ( talk) 22:24, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for your invitation to join the Saskatchewan Project, because I created the Prince Albert Transit article, but unfortunately I really don't know much about the province. My task is a sort of "if you build it they will come" project, to create an entry for every public transit system in Canada. Because the quality and quantity of information available on the internet varies I have to rely on locals to contribute supplementary input that may not be available online and to take photographs of buses and terminals that I cannot supply. Hi. I've made changes that could be made per your suggestions. Most of what you said should definitely be incorporated or at least touched upon in the article. However, there is a lack of sources (at least those accessible online) on the influence of this road on the communities around it. In terms of construction and paving, I don't think there is anything noteworthy about this particular case as it is a regular minor rural highway. Anyway, please have a look at the article again to see if it is good enough. We will definitely try and add your suggestions over time as sources are found (which may require a trip to a local public library or historical society). Thanks. -- Polaron | Talk 23:16, 24 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi-
I'm not sure if this is the sort of thing you were looking for, but I'm not very good at article writing, so I made a graphic. It's a map that shows all the villages along with Saskatchewan Highway 11:
Map
It's in a vector format, so you can resize it as you see fit. I used the colors defined by the MOS for maps, but I can change them if you wish.
I spent about an hour and a half on it between tracing maps, finding the cities, etc etc. Let me know if this is acceptable to you--

Hi. I replied to your posting on Talk:New York State Route 343. The database is indeed a very rich source of information for highway articles in New York and the State Routes project would definitely make extensive use of this. Is there a way we can get a copy of this from you? Do you have any suggestions for sending such a large file? I can probably setup an FTP server if needed. Thanks. -- Polaron | Talk 14:11, 9 July 2008 (UTC)
I have looked over the Saskatchewan portal and can't figure out how to make it so it fits on the page. It still is stretching the page. I have looked at other portals like Iceland and New South Wales and all their content fits well on the page without stretching it. I have read your comments on the Saskatchewan Portal talk page about you having a wide screen monitor. Now I think the portal should fit nicely on the page regardless of the reasons. A lot of people do use 1024x768 setting for their monitor. Besides, it would look much better if it was back to the width it originally was while still having the current layout. Mr. C.C. Thanks for the barnstar! I am going to be taking the weekend offwiki but when I get back I will start working on similar maps for the other highways. Peace- L'Aquatique review 20:19, 11 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi. This is just a reminder that it has been over 14 days since you placed the good article nomination for New York State Route 100 on hold. If the article does not yet meet the GA criteria, you may wish to contact the nominating editor. Thank you for your help. - epicAdam ( talk) 23:31, 22 July 2008 (UTC)
How goes the review for New York State Route 100? I was looked through the backlog and noticed it had been on hold for awhile. Looking at the talk page, though, it doesn't seem like any of your concerns have been addressed. If that is the case, I think it is safe to fail it for now. Just a friendly reminder in case you forgot (which happens a lot!). :) Nikki 311 02:41, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Hi SriMesh, You incorrectly ascribed the changes made to this page to me. I am not the user at 198.169.119.202 and did not include copyrighted (or possibly copyrighted) material in my contribution. I'm concerned that this be resolved without prejudice to my account. I agree that the material as it stands is likely in violation. Smartbottom ( talk) 02:57, 4 August 2008 (UTC)

Perhaps you can help me contact a 'Saskapedian' (do you like this word?) who would be willing to upload photographs relating to the Category:Transit agencies in Saskatchewan and also the Saskatchewan Transportation Company.

On the Template:WikiProject Canada I noticed that the page has been locked. It would nice if WP:SKCN was able to put on that template. Mr. C.C. ( talk) 13:09, 12 July 2008 (UTC)

Just to give you a heads up, Mitchazenia is August's Spotlight Award Recipient. You can read why in the newsletter or the spotlight page. Mr. C.C. ( talk) 02:37, 13 July 2008 (UTC)
Sorry for the late reply. I'm currently on the road and don't have access to a full computer, so I don't think I can properly look over templates, otherwise I'd love to help out. I hope that Qyd was able to help you. If I'm reading your code right, will it make it so that articles tagged as both SK and as a community will automatically be also added to a third SK-communities project? If this is that case, cool idea. :) -- Arctic Gnome ( talk • contribs) 21:50, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

Just letting you know that I received the DVD with the database yesterday. This information will definitely be a big help in making the NY state highway articles more comprehensive. Thanks so much for this. -- Polaron | Talk 22:10, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
