I'm fascinated by the blast of changes you've just been making to various technical pages. One in particular has caught my attention, where you knocked out the sentence "In order to remain backward-compatible, BD-RE (and by extension, BD-R) will primarily utilize the MPEG-2 codec." I've always been bugged by that in particular, and the entire paragraph in general, which seems pretty vague and possibly misleading. HOWEVER - strangely enough its already known that at least some of Sony's initial releases ARE using MPEG-2, for which they are - not surprisingly - taking some flak. See these:

I noticed that you flagged the article Roy Adams as copyvio and nn-bio at 07:19, 21 August 2006. I wanted to let you know that ERcheck ( talk • contribs) removed these tags, in my view correctly. In general, if an article states that a person was or is a professor, that statement should be treated as an assertion of notability, which means the article can't be speedied as an nn-bio. Yup, you're right, I'd rather not have that image on my talk page. Thanks a bunch! Glad I didn't have to see that. Srose (talk) 14:19, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current
Arbitration Committee election. The
Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia
arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose
site bans,
topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The
arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to
review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on
the voting page. For the Election committee,
