Hi. I wonder if you have time to give us some advice? We are now working on a an assessment system for the Wagner Project as a kind of pilot for the opera project.
I created a banner for the Wagner project ( Template:Wagner) using the code you created for the opera project one. Is it possible to correct it so it works for a manual assessment system? (Maybe the 'auto' part should come out?) Thanks and regards. -- Kleinzach 10:26, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
Sorry about this, Satyr. I've been away, but I've just previewed Talk:Das Liebesverbot, having put Class = Start into the Wagner banner there and changed auto to No, and it looked fine, except that there was no reference in the revised banner to a Comments page. I didn't spot this on Tuesday, I'm afraid. Looking at Template:WPCities, I see that there is an "#ifexist:{{FULLPAGENAME}}/Comments |See [[{{FULLPAGENAME}}/Comments|comments]] for details" there which isn't in Template:Wagner. I've now created a short dummy page Talk:Das Liebesverbot/Comments in which to deposit my comments. I had one attempt at putting the above "#ifexist..." text into the Wagner template at what looked like an appropriate place to get the comments link displayed, but it wasn't a success and I undid it. Best leave it to the expert, I thought, so here I am again. Hope you can fit this in when time permits and that it isn't too much trouble for you. You can test it at the Das Liebesverbot Talk page if you like. (I've refrained from actually updating the banner on that page with the Class, as I want to do that only when a link to the comments page is provided as well - and, of course, when I've provided some actual comments!) Best. -- GuillaumeTell 16:40, 30 August 2007 (UTC)

Hi! About the problem in tehe discussion page of the article Rainbow flag, I decided to retire some Wikiprojects banners that can't be consider in the talk page since for example: Rainbow flag (gay movement) or Wiphala articles exist... Imagine that every little stub include in the Raimbow falg article would have their Wikiproject banners, it would be at least 10.... so the solution is to keep neutral the article and refer only as it is: rainbow flag. Now, I would keep the Wikiprojects banners, but if in the future the banners increase, I would consider seriously to delete most of them and keepp only the Flags Wikiproject banner. Well, thats it, and sorry for my bad english. =) Salu2!-- Kanon6917 14:06, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I was thinking of joining. I've always wanted to join a secret society, but none of them would have me, so I have several questions before I do anything rash....
Sorry for that, my sense of humor goes off the wall every once in a while. I kinda got sucked into the LGBT debates because of the crap and POV pushing I saw, although it certainly permeates other areas as well. Now I seem to spend more time manning the barricades than working on articles. Seriously, what prompted the invite and is there anything to the project other than (I assume) generally making it easier to work together on LGBTQ areas of interest? — Becksguy 21:50, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Greetings again,
I have revamped the philosophy banner so as to include fields. I have a proposed category list for most of the task forces listed on their pages. For the Metaphysics, Epistemology, Aesthetics, and Ethics task forces, I have a notice posted on the talk page of each of the categories.
As far as logic is concerned, I have proposed that each math and phil have separate worklists. The proposal is to remit the proposal to auto-tag to the math and phil projects respectively. I think the folks at WP:PHILO are a lot more easy going. Also, I have pared down the category lists quite a bit.
Perhaps, in a week, I will be forwarding to you a request to tag just the ethics, metaphysics, epistemology and aesthetics categories. The discussion has been going on for a bit now on WP:PHILO, and I have been enlisting support from the key players.
Can the bot also handle just a list (rather than work through categories)? The list of philosophers seems as comprehensive as any collection of categories.
I am also trying to plan things so as to have the least work for the bot. All analytic and continental philosophy is also contemporary, so two tags at once will save effort there, etc.
I just wanted to give you an update as to these plans. Be well, Gregbard 11:58, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
This is the request I mentioned above. There is a list of categories which consists of transclusions from each of the fields' task force pages. I am requesting that the bot tag just the ethics, metaphysics, aesthetics, and epistemology fields. They will need respectively the tags: {{philosophy|ethics=yes}}, {{philosophy|metaphysics=yes}}, {{philosophy|aesthetics=yes}}, and {{philosophy|epistemology=yes}}
There may be some that overlap. in that case, I hope you have an easy time differentiating between getting a whole new tag or just inserting the |field2=yes part next to any |field1=yes type of situations. If there is anything I can do to make it easier, let me know. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gregbard ( talk • contribs) 14:28, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

It was recently brought to my attention that SatyrBot has tagged WikiProject pages as inactive in the past. This task is not currently listed on the bot's user page and no request for this task has been approved by the BAG. In contrast, ClueBot II ( talk · contribs) has recently been approved to automatically tag inactive WikiProjects as such. Therefore, you may wish to remove that functionality from your bot, if indeed it still performs that function.
Thank you! — madman bum and angel, on behalf of the BAG. 05:25, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
Agreed about Esperanza. For what it's worth, I think in time, as I complete the list, there will probably be a separate section for "rejected" projects, and it might fit in well there. Part of the purpose, like I said, is to let editors know some ideas that have already been found to be bad ones, so that they don't get repeated. John Carter 13:35, 10 September 2007 (UTC)

I can read German and French as well, but not Finnish or Swedish; however, I can just figure out that the Finnish and Swedish (and even the Japanese!) About you removing the 'personal life' section from that article: First let me say that you can probably shoot down any source I can come up with of him being gay for being unreliable. However, I want to point out that we're not talking about contentious material! So while caution should be used with these sources, I don't think you should just remove them because they're not 100% reliable.
De Telegraaf indeed isn't the most reliable newssource, but then again, any real paper probably wouldn't mention his relationship with the contestant from the show. I've found an interview in the gossip magazine "Party", where he talks about being gay, but again, not a reliable source. I've got a biography on carloirene.nl where his relationship with Eloy is mentioned, but though the site seems to be approved of by Boszhard (he writes a column there), I don't think it's an 'official' website, so again you could call it unreliable.
The second source, which you claim to be about a different person, is very much about Boszhard. But then again, you could argue that it's not a reliable source. The third link is indeed about some other person, but that's because I was making a statement about that other person, not about Boszhard. nield 09:42, 16 September 2007 (UTC)

Hello again after a long time! I was just editing the New Ipswich, New Hampshire, page, and noticed for the first time that a big chunk of the town is missing in its map depiction in the town infobox. Digging a little deeper, I found your name in the history of the image (Image:Hillsborough-New-Ipswitch-NH.png). If you were the creator of the Hillsborough County maps, would you be able to fix them so New Ipswich is a proper parallelogram? You can sort of tell from the green-shaded Hillsborough County in the same image that the southern and western lines should be straight. Is this an easy thing to do? You posted a response to me on the Council talk page in which you referred me to discussion at WikiProject reform. I noticed that page was tagged historical (though the policy on historical articles doesn't seem to support that tag), and the discussion there abruptly died several months back. What's the deal? I would like to discuss the issues being discussed in both places further - so in that respect I am accepting your offer of help - though I'm not sure what you were suggesting I "take a swipe at", nor where you propose we discuss it. Your work at User:SatyrTN/mfd is awesome! That is exactly what we need. I've made a few comments there. I've noticed that my userfication theory of how to take down a project without destroying somebody's work has at least one other believer. Jc37 has just gone through MfD and voted Userfy right behind me on three projects. So, I'm not entirely out in left field, I've just got a disconnect with some editors. I have to admit that before I saw your WPfD page and jc's votes I was beginning to wonder. BTW, I have an Agriculture project proposed with no takers and I'm thinking of standing it up in my user space as a sort of lead by example and then linking my proposal to it. If the idea catches on I'll start floating it at WP:COUNCIL/G, which needs a lot of work.-- Doug.( talk • contribs) 02:56, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
Why the hell are you deleting certain biographical entries from the Homophobia category under the pretense of "s/he is not a "homophobia"? It is quite obvious that NOBODY is a "homophobia", but that the people listed in it are in some way related to the ISSUE of homophobia. Removing the cat from certain articles where it is relevant is an abuse of your position as a Wiki editor. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.65.71.24 ( talk) 02:38, 17 September 2007 (UTC)

Hi Satyr, is saw you reversed my categorisation as LGBT of the Dutch TV and theatre personality Jos Brink, beacause is not sourced in the article. The English edition refers to the Dutch original, where his homosexuality is mentioned, because it has been a widely known fact in Holland for decades. So I take the liberty to reverse your reversal. Greetings, -- BertSen 16:06, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
I thought you had noticed that I did provide a reference in Dutch, from the Dossier Jos Brink of the Dutch National Library. This is a reliable and permanent source of reference on the web.
By the way, you are a sort of LGBT monitor and you added a reference from a Dutch newspaper to Robert Long (singer) at September 6th. Can you read Dutch? And even if you can, do you know that this source of information has the same status as the National Inquirer in the USA? Is this up to Wiki-standards? The other links in that article seem OK to me. regards, -- BertSen 17:06, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
Hi Satyr. :-) We're trying to develop a bot that would help us with LGBT articles' assessment in es:, I don't know if you remember when I was first setting up the Spanish project that I said someone was already looking into it? Well, that guy was finally a no-show, so I've asked Siabef (an es: admin and 'crat, very nice guy) to use his 'candy'bot to help our cause. ;-) Would you mind terribly emailing him to explain how the assessment parameter of the project tag works and the source code his bot would need to replicate yours and all that technical stuff? :-) You see, there is no assessment of any kind in es:wiki, so we are breaking ground with this. I can't seem to explain very well exactly what I want done with the tag! :-P I'd be extremely grateful for any kind of help you could offer. The newsletter is back! Many things have gone on during the past few months, but many things have not. While the assessment drive helped revitalize the assessment department of the project, many other departments have received no attention. Most notably: peer review and our "workgroups". A day long IRC meeting has been planned for October 13th, with the major focus being which areas of the project are "dead", what should our goals be as a project, and how to "revive" the dead areas of our project. Contribute to the discussion on the the new channel (see below) We decided to deliver this newsletter to all project members this month but only those with their names down here will get it delivered in the future. This is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue. Any and all contributions are welcome. Kick is an LGBT-related program in that one of the shows main characters is a lesbian and in the coming out process. If the whole show has to be about homosexuality for it to be able to be categorized as LGBT-related, perhaps a new category of shows with gay characters should be created. Because it's bullshit you removed that category from the page. And I have personally looked for a category stamp indicating shows that have main gay or lesbian characters for a long time. I totally understand why you removed the contentious category tag from the article on Ms Farrow; however, I'm really not certain how such a fact would be included in the article, other than by a category tag. Note [5] the responses to Farrow's recent program on "gay speech" - one correspondent thanked Farrow for "repeatedly outing (her)self". At the very beginning, she introduced herself as a "confirmed homosexual". You can listen to the program on mp3, in fact.

These images have a specified thumb size for image rendering on certain browsers and is a part of a compromise I made with several editors who wanted images on the article. Removing these are making certain browsers make the list form in a different way than what your intention is. Please do not remove them again. Thank you! — Moe ε 00:06, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Just a note to say that your music has made me happy since I was a teenager. remember Me/Ain't No Mountain High Enough is probably one of the greatest singles ever released. Even now, almost 30 years later, I have it downloaded into my iPod and listen to it on a regular basis.
Your voice just gives me chills, and moves me with its depth of feeling.

Hi faithful leader of LGBTseses! ha! I was curious as to the best way to go about making the LGBT Random Picture script I put together part of Portal: LGBT since the one there is antiquated and doesn't provide a way to place it on user pages like LGBT Quotes does. I'd like to see it moved out my userspace and into Portal:LGBT space and useable by everyone, if not a replacement for the one there now. See it in action below:
Right now, it's placed using {{User:Allstarecho/pic}} (hopefully to be {{LGBT:Portal/Randompic}}). It has 13 entries (pics and ledes) but can accomodate up to 60. It's actually the same script that LGBT Quote is using except I modified it to handle images and produce its as seen output. It's templates for output is at User:Allstarecho/pic which calls up User:Allstarecho/LGBTPicstemp and its entries template is at User:Allstarecho/LGBTPics -- ALLSTAR ECHO 19:09, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

Delivered on 17:31, 11 October 2007 (UTC).
You either nominated a WP:FLC or closed such a nomination recently. As such, you are the type of editor whose opinion I am soliciting. We now have over 400 featured lists and seem to be promoting in excess of 30 per month of late (41 in August and 42 in September). When Today's featured article (TFA) started ( 2004-02-22), they only had about 200 featured articles and were barely promoting 20 new ones per month. I think the quality of featured lists is at least as good as the quality of featured articles was when they started appearing on the main page. Thus, I am ready to open debate on a proposal to institute a List of the Day on the main page with nominations starting November 1 2007, voting starting December 1 2007 and main page appearances starting January 1 2008. For brevity, the proposal page does not discuss the details of eventual main page content, but since the work has already been done, you should consider this proposal assuming the eventual content will resemble the current content at the featured content page. Such output would probably start at the bottom of the main page. The proposal page does not debate whether starting with weekly list main page entries would be better than daily entries. However, I suspect persons in favor of weekly lists are really voicing opinions against lists on the main page since neither TFA nor Picture of the day started as weekly endeavors, to the best of my knowledge. See the List of the Day proposal and comment at WP:LOTDP and its talk page.-- TonyTheTiger ( t/ c/ bio/ tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 19:37, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

This is the request I mentioned above. There is a list of categories which consists of transclusions from each of the fields' task force pages. I am requesting that the bot tag just the ethics, metaphysics, aesthetics, and epistemology fields. They will need respectively the tags: {{philosophy|ethics=yes}}, {{philosophy|metaphysics=yes}}, {{philosophy|aesthetics=yes}}, and {{philosophy|epistemology=yes}}

About you removing the 'personal life' section from that article: First let me say that you can probably shoot down any source I can come up with of him being gay for being unreliable.

I have no idea if there's a way to undo all of a bots edits without another bot. You might try to technical sub-board of the village pump, or maybe ANI. Natalie 21:22, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiProject Paranormal/To do list full was blanked SatyrBot on the 28th, and has been left blank ever since. Is there a reason why it is not updating the page anymore. - perfectblue 18:54, 5 October 2007 (UTC)
How do you get your Archives box up there to list the actual links to your archive pages? I installed Mizabot or whatever it's spelled and put the {{Archives}} tag too. Sometime today the bot archived but didn't put it in the list of my Archives box. Am I missing something? -- ALLSTAR ECHO 16:23, 6 October 2007 (UTC)

Congratulations to our 225 new members |
Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned or post news on the next issue's talk page
Lastly, a new WikiProject Biography channel has been set up on the freenode network: Our thanks to Phoenix 15 for setting it up.

I'm working on an "LGBT Random Picture" box to display a random LGBT related picture. Like the quotes but pictures. Don't like the one at LGBT portal because it displays all 6 of the pictures it has at one time. Just a single, random pic with link to its article.. will let you know when it's done. -- ALLSTAR ECHO 08:19, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
I noticed that you participated in the recent CfD of the category "Homophobia" [4]. It has been re-nominated for deletion, on the same grounds as before, and I was making sure you had an opportunity to present your interpretation of policy on this matter. The discussion can be found here. Best. -- Cheeser1 14:39, 8 October 2007 (UTC)
A bot was flashing a tonne of alerts and (due to the name of the page of a couple of your edits) raised a "check" edit flag - I accidentally hit the block button instead. I've removed the block (and any autoblocks I could find - you should be good to go) - sorry about that -- Tawker 21:38, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
We need one. (Please reply on my talk page if you need to. I'll never see you're reply here.) -- Teehee11 18:33, 10 October 2007 (UTC)

Ahh, my old nemesis! We meet again!
ahem
I totally understand why you removed the contentious category tag from the article on Ms Farrow; however, I'm really not certain how such a fact would be included in the article, other than by a category tag. Note [5] the responses to Farrow's recent program on "gay speech" - one correspondent thanked Farrow for "repeatedly outing (her)self". At the very beginning, she introduced herself as a "confirmed homosexual". You can listen to the program on mp3, in fact.
Good enough? DS 02:22, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Here is the latest one. I just wrote it, but don't know how to make it a newsletter or send it out. Is that you task, or Dev's???? Hope you're well, cutie, by the way! Jeffpw 16:26, 11 October 2007 (UTC)
Cynthia Manley of the Boys Town Gang wrote to me!!!!!!!!!! Oh My God!!!!!
Sent: October 10, 2007 Read: October 11, 2007 Subject: Thank You For The Music! Message: Dear Cynthia,
Just a note to say that your music has made me happy since I was a teenager. remember Me/Ain't No Mountain High Enough is probably one of the greatest singles ever released. Even now, almost 30 years later, I have it downloaded into my iPod and listen to it on a regular basis.
Your voice just gives me chills, and moves me with its depth of feeling.
I'm happy to see you're still going strong and touring. I hope Europe is on your itinerary (specifically Amsterdam). Thank you for your contributions to both musical culture and gay culture.
Love and respect,
Jeff Woloson
