Hi. Removing personal info from a page merely by "editing it out" doesn't really get rid of it— it is still readily visible in the page's hist. You'll need someone with WP:OVERSIGHT ability to actually and truly delete it. BTW, if you wanna be an admin, you really should enable your email. Cheers! Ling.Nut ( talk) 03:24, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
I left a note on your test talk page, and I was wondering if I would be able to take the test. I do appreciate the idea to help new users, in adopting them for example. It's just that I think that you are not ready for that yet. But you're not a newcomer anymore and I haven't bite you, you have asked for people to comment, remember ? I think that you take it the wrong way, if I said what I said, it was because I think that it could help. I think too that they are things going on that, maybe, are not that useful for the project. But it's just my opinion, I don't want to bother you with that. I would appreciate however, that you take the advices of other people and try to edit with more consideration, and particularly, verify the assertions in your comments. The article
Super smash bros mojo has been hacked has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Hey, do you mind if I become a teacher? K im u 21:44, 29 March 2008 (UTC)
Yes, a reversion to an article would count as a mainspace edit. I think it would be a good idea to stress to your students that at RFA, editcounts seem to be even less an issue than they were when I was made an admin, and I think that's a good trend. QUALITY of edits counts, not quantity. Good question. - Philippe | Talk 21:49, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

I think it's a good idea to have several folks involved with the program. My preference would be no tests at all, since I think they're not really useful to gauge understanding of wiki, but that's your call totally, and I'm not going to enforce my preference on you as though it were policy. I appreciate your offer to have me take a formal role with your program. I hope you'll understand that I can't accept right now, because my on-wiki time is pretty well taken up by admin'ing, WP:OTRS and as an election official for the 2008 Board of Trustees election. (And, frankly, I'm doing a poor job of keeping up with OTRS while the election is being prepared).
What I'd like to do, though, is to informally advise you as I see things. That could be rarely, or more often. Basically, my preference is to keep the ability to stick my nose in when something interests me, without any determined role. That's better for my time constraints right now.
I think you're moving things in the right direction, and that's to be commended. You've taken some hard knocks the past few days (some of them by me) and it's admirable that you're taking seriously the feedback that people are giving you. - Philippe | Talk 01:59, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Greetings.
I'm new to this, a fact you've heard before. Please adopt me! Are you really sitting there in real time doing this Or is it all programmed?
Here are my adoption papers: physician, male, in practice for 35 years. Tri-lingual: Amer Eng, Spanish, and Japanese. Wife: also physician, bi-lingual: Amer Eng and Japanese. She is Japanese and translates, for company in Tokyo, medical, research, legal papers, and news briefs pertaining to medical events. I also paint and sculpt as a second (sanity) business, play piano and have played organ, string bass, baritone horn.
Was looking up CVT (bought wife new Rogue and she bought me new Altima). Both cars have same engine and transmission (CVT). While refreshing my memory about how CVT worked, I read some Japanesey English and thought "I could do improve the syntax on that entry!"
So that's how I came to set up an account.
I can spend some time doing this on an irregular basis. Wikipedia has really helped me explain or reference things about medicine to patients and parents, so I'd like to contribute.
May I have your answer? Either here or at my e-mail address. pinot_chan0730@yahoo.com . . . BTW, my website for art is normank.myexpose.com.
Kind regards, -- BudgieBirdChan0211 ( talk) 05:04, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Congrats on the 4000th edit. :-)
Actually, i was just about to leave a comment for you about the cabals. While I hope you saw that I !voted to "keep" them at MFD, I have to say that I have concerns about exclusionary groups. I'm not fond of - nor is it very wiki - to have groups where people can and can't join. The community seems to see them as disenfranchising, or divisive. A recent example of that is the WP:ROUGE fiasco. "Cabals" can be fun, but they absolutely must not be used is a way that excludes people because they don't have enough votes or something similar. That needs to stop immediately. I'm sure you can see how that's very anti-wiki in its steering.
Have a great vacation, and thanks for all the hard work. - Philippe 00:40, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Can you explain to me how the edit I made was vandalism? I'm trying to start a discussion about this particular section of this article and its worth, which is being debated right now. I have some questions: 1. How did you edit the article back so quickly? 2. How did you find out about it? 3. Why did you edit the article back? What about the chnage did you find offensive, 4. When you reverted it back so quickly, did you look at the discussion page first? 5. Are errors sections about books to be included in articles? Some of the errors include spelling mistakes. 6. If a section of a wikipedia article is in dispute, what happens to the article in the mean time?
I look forward to discussing this with you on the article talk page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.5.63.22 ( talk) 07:48, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Hiyo there. At the end, I did join a wikiproject, even if I wasn't planning to do so. It's Wikipedia:WikiProject_Wikipedians_against_censorship, and I just remembered right now that I had joined it because I had their page on my watchlist (lol). They are a low traffic project, and they touch a topic of my interest, since I find interesing to defend stuff that is going to be deleted from wikipedia just because someone is offended by it. I hope you are also satisfied with the wikiprojects you joined. I see that you got a ton of members for the RedSox wikproject, now you have to get them to do stuff. Let's see how many of them drop once they notice they joined too many wikiprojects and can't possibly help on all of them :D -- Enric Naval ( talk) 15:13, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

I would like to ask you to shut down your adoption program, regardless of the outcome of the MFD. I appreciate that you're trying to help, but many editors are concerned that you're actually doing more harm than good. You are a very inexperienced editor yourself, but you're trying to pass yourself off as an experienced editor. I also see you've given people questionable advice here and there. Anyway, by all means, keep contributing and learning what we do here. I just don't think you're in a good position to be trying to train new editors, being a new editor yourself. Friday (talk) 14:09, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I noticed this edit. You used rollback inappropriately here. You were reverting an editor who removed the template in good faith and explained his edit, and you reverted with no explanation at all. Rollback is really only meant for obviously unconstructive edits like vandalism. See Wikipedia:Rollback. Anyway, I have removed rollback permission from your account. If you want it back, I encourage you to ask for it again sometime in the future, after you've learned more. Friday (talk) 14:15, 2 April 2008 (UTC)
While I mentioned only the one, a glance at your contributions indicated you'd been misusing rollback frequently, starting right when you got it. I don't doubt your good intentions but I cannot understand why you think you have lots of experience when you're so obviously new. That you should simply ask for it back immediately concerns me. Do you understand what it's for and how it's given out? Or are you just looking for a feather to put in your cap? Friday (talk) 16:20, 5 April 2008 (UTC)

That would be great, you don't have to adopt me, it just would be good to take the test to see how I am traveling. Do you want to discuss anything? Novels, music, books, etc? I do appreciate the idea to help new users, in adopting them for example. It's just that I think that you are not ready for that yet. But you're not a newcomer anymore and I haven't bite you, you have asked for people to comment, remember ? I think that you take it the wrong way, if I said what I said, it was because I think that it could help. I think too that they are things going on that, maybe, are not that useful for the project. But it's just my opinion, I don't want to bother you with that. I would appreciate however, that you take the advices of other people and try to edit with more consideration, and particularly, verify the assertions in your comments.
