Thanks for the message. How did you hear of me?
I have thought the situation through pretty extensively and thought about how to prevent it from happening to anyone else. If I hadn't known of Alison I think it would have been the end of me here. I can't be the only one that it has happened to. I might be seeing through a distorted lens but reading my case and my unblock requests and comparing to others they were faced with, I couldn't see how reviewers were so quick to judge or why they were, to put it crudely, so nasty to me. Maybe worst of all, it felt like it was politically motivated more than a case of mistaken identity. Wikipedia is an amazing effort and I don't think it has to come with that undercurrent.
I'm probably not going to be all that active for a while, but feel free to drop me a message if there's a Bay Area (California) social or crime article that you'd like some help on. I enjoy doing research, especially on hot new topics, and fleshing out the details. And if you hadn't noticed I'm not a big fan of stripping relevant information other than when verifiability or BLP are at stake ;)

just a quick observation. an edit that removes 1,300 bytes of material from an article should probably not be marked 'minor'. -- Rocksanddirt ( talk) 23:04, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
