Information icon Hello, I'm Mvcg66b3r. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to WWOR-TV have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a " soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Mvcg66b3r ( talk) 00:45, 17 June 2024 (UTC) reply

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at WXTV-DT. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Mvcg66b3r ( talk) 00:46, 17 June 2024 (UTC) reply

Information icon More of the same in contributions like this "Advertising" section you created at Six Flags Great Adventure, which was eventually spotted and removed. Aside from grammatical issues, you didn't provide any sources, which according to Wikipedia's Verifiability policy is a requirement for material that is likely to be challenged. Unless you are adding a statement that is considered a form of common knowledge (e.g. "Julius Caesar was a Roman"), you should always cite a reliable source. If you need help, feel free to ask me on my talk page or reach out to other experienced Wikipedians at the Teahouse. Continuing down this path without seeking assistance, however, will lead to stronger warnings and may result in a loss of editing privileges. Thank you. -- GoneIn60 ( talk) 08:53, 8 July 2024 (UTC) reply

@ RupertNY245 yeah, but your account hasn't made any edits to that page, User:RobertFL1991 did. So why are you saying the you can't put the advertising in. Gaismagorm ( talk) 18:11, 8 July 2024 (UTC) reply
My account is because for some reason I lost access to my old accounts, both of them. I am the same guy.
I never was banned. RupertNY245 ( talk) 20:51, 8 July 2024 (UTC) reply
This response seems to indicate you still don't understand the importance of reliable sources and why you should cite them in almost every case. Let's look at two simple examples. There's a big difference between writing, "In 1933, Babe Ruth hit the first home run in the history of the All Star Game.", versus writing, "The capital of France is Paris." The Babe Ruth claim would be an example of material likely to be challenged and would require a source. On the other hand, the Paris claim would not require a citation, since it is generally accepted that most would not consider it controversial. The information is easy to verify if needed.
Another editor removed your "entrance" section, but I also agree with its removal. We have another policy on Wikipedia that states, " Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information. You can read more there, but in a nutshell it's telling you that being true and verifiable does not automatically mean something is suitable for inclusion. It must also hold encyclopedic value. An article about a famous song won't include all the song lyrics, for example. Citing sources helps. They help determine what material is important. Your entrance description might be more suitable for a brochure or travel guide, but not an encyclopedia, unless you can show that sources believe there is something significant about this aspect.
One final note. I noticed you replied with a different account. Please be aware of Wikipedia's username policy regarding the use of multiple accounts and your responsibility to identify why you have them. Thank you. -- GoneIn60 ( talk) 19:24, 8 July 2024 (UTC) reply
