Penelope and pup

Howdy, the image you uploaded, image:penelope_and_pup.jpg appears to have come from a website which claims a copyright over it. Unfortunately, Wikipedia can not accept material under copyright unless the owner has released it under a compatible license, or a fair use claim can be made. Since neither seemed evident, I have deleted the file. I am a fan of marine mammals myself (having studied sea lions for my master's degree), so I can especially appreciate your interest in expanding Wikipedia's coverage of these animals. Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Best wishes, -- TeaDrinker ( talk) 04:56, 17 February 2009 (UTC) reply

File:Tags getting glued on P.jpg

This file as the fiel mentioned above is sourced from the TOPP website which does not have a content license that is compatible with Wikipedia and has consequenly been nominated for speedy deletion. For the images to be uploaded onto Wikipedia they will need to be either a) uploaded by the copyright holder/photographer as an own work and released under a compatible license or b) uploaded by you but specifically released by TOPP under a suitable permissive and compatible license, details of which permission need to be submitted via OTRS and attached to the upload. Any further questions please ask. Mfield ( talk) 07:37, 17 February 2009 (UTC) reply

Edit summaries

Hi, please don't forget to include an edit summary with all your edits, it makes it much easier to track changes to articles (and to avoid your edits being scrutinized for vandalism as non use of the edit summary is a red flag to vandal patrollers). Hi, I have suggested moving this article into an article that covers the entire program as I feel it is unlikely to survive in its current format and that would be a shame. The program does not have its own article which does not help with assertions of notability of a single animal within the program. Merging this information in would provide readers with more complete context and there would be more independent referencing. Please discuss on article talk. thanks. Nice work

Hey, nice work on the TOPP article, I have renamed it inline with our naming conventions, linked it up with the COML article, and removed the move proposal from Penelope seal. The penelope article does need more primary references for notability though still. I am not going to propose it get deleted but if someone were to (as these things happen often with marginal notability) then it could be merged in with TOPP. Some more primary media or scientific references would help with the notabiliy significantly. Mfield ( talk) 06:40, 23 February 2009 (UTC) reply

A tag has been placed on Stelephant Colbert, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{ hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself.

If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Mhking ( talk) 02:41, 5 March 2009 (UTC) reply

File Copyright problem
File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:TagsgettinggluedonP.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 20:07, 12 March 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. —  neuro (talk) 20:07, 12 March 2009 (UTC) reply
