Hi PhiladelphiaWanderer34! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia — it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Doug Weller talk 10:45, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
Hello, I'm Ainlina. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to List of tallest buildings in Philadelphia seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Thanks, Ain lina (box) ? 00:00, 17 December 2020 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Dominican Canadians, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Laval. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Hello, PhiladelphiaWanderer34
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Slywriter, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've proposed an article that you started, Guatemalan Canadians, for deletion because it meets one or more of our deletion criteria, and I don't think that it is suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. The particular issue can be found in the notice that is now visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to contest the deletion:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
If you object to the article's deletion, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the issues raised in the deletion notice. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Slywriter}}

The article Honduran Canadians has been proposed for deletion. The proposed deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your
edit summary or on
the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the
proposed deletion process, but other
deletion processes exist. In particular, the
speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and
articles for deletion allows discussion to reach
consensus for deletion. Ten Pound Hammer • (

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Guatemalan Canadians until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.
Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article.

Please be more careful with your language. Accusing an editor of literary genocide like you did to me in the AfD is not in keeping with a collaborative environment of wikipedia and can bee seen as a personal attack. Slywriter ( talk) 22:31, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
This is your only warning; if you make personal attacks on others again, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Acroterion (talk) 13:44, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
Hi, and thanks for creating this article. I hope it is kept. I've made some edits that hopefully others will agree helps justifying keeping - i.e. adding more than just the demographic data, also some more information.
If you want an article to be kept, the best way to influence that is to improve it further. If you look at my edits, that is the sort of extra content that makes articles more valuable to wikipedia.
Please don't be disheartened by the deletion process, you can influence it by editing. That will be a more effective strategy than complaining about other editors.
All the best to you. CT55555 ( talk) 15:50, 6 June 2022 (UTC)
Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a " cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.
In most cases for registered users, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. You did not identify the source of the material in your edit. It appears to be Filipino Canadians. Copying within Wikipedia is acceptable but it must be attributed.
This type of edit does get picked up by Copy Patrol and a good edit summary helps to make sure we don't accidentally revert it. However, for future use, would you note the best practices wording as outlined at Wikipedia:Copying_within_Wikipedia? In particular, linking to the source article and adding the phrase "see that page's history for attribution" helps ensure that proper attribution is preserved.
While best practices are that attribution should be added to the edit summary at the time the edit is made, the linked article on best practices describes the appropriate steps to add attribution after the fact. I hope you will do so.
I've noticed that this guideline is not very well known, even among editors with tens of thousands of edits, so it isn't surprising that I point this out to some veteran editors, but there are some t's that need to be crossed. S Philbrick (Talk) 13:05, 24 February 2023 (UTC)
