Early Life
Opefi Okwuchukwu was born to a royal family of H.R.H Albert Opefi in the early ninety's. He was the sixth child in an extended family of fourteen children. His father worked as a pharmacist within Ebonyi State where he was raised together with his other silblings before he was enthroned as the traditional ruler of his people; Ekpelu autonomous community in Ikwo Local Government Area of the state. He received early education within his hometown where he attended the community nursery and primary school Ekpelu. His secondary school education was completed in a missionary school; Anglican secondary school within his council area. He is an ardent Christian. His parents were the pioneer members of the Church of Christ in his council area Ikwo where he was also faithfully nurtured in the Christian morals.
Education He gained admission to study medical laboratory science from the state owned university, Ebonyi state university, Abakaliki in 2007. He graduated with BMLS in 2012 and has been currently enrolled as a fellow of the medical laboratory science council of Nigeria(MLSCN), the professional body in charge of the practice of laboratory medicine in the country. He is also a member of the African Society of Laboratory medicine(ASLM) and Association of medical laboratory scientist of Nigeria (AMLSN). While in school he was an active member of many social clubs and non-governmental organizations, one of which was the Life Saving Initiative Club of Nigeria, which fought against discrimination of people living with HIV AIDS and increased awareness for prevention and control of the disease. He is also currently enrolled for pursuit of other higher academic interest in the same country.
WORKS His early inclinations to writing as a novelist and author manifested in many articles and commentaries published in national dailies or aired on media houses. His debut novel "Pains of the lost generation" which he began to write in 2006 was later published under the kindle direct publishing platform in 2019. Most of his published works were first published through the same medium. They included viz: The African Templates(novel, August 2019), Things Of fate (novel, September 2019), In The Heaven Of Our Dream (poetry, October 2019), Cycles On Black Garbage (Poetry, February 2020)
