Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Jessamine Stakes, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Jessamine County Stakes. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot ( talk) 17:54, 1 June 2011 (UTC) reply

Copy-and-paste page moves

Hello, Njboiler. Concerning your contribution, Jessamine Stakes, a page move cannot be done by simply copying and pasting the contents of a page into a new location, as such a process does not transfer the page's edit history and therefore violates the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC-BY-SA) license by denying attribution to editors who worked on Jessamine County Stakes. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from Jessamine County Stakes. As a violation of the page move process, Jessamine Stakes needs to be temporarily deleted under the speedy deletion criteria so that Jessamine County Stakes may be properly moved in a way that will preserve its edit history. Jessamine Stakes has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. If not, please refrain from editing either Jessamine County Stakes or Jessamine Stakes until the latter has been deleted according to Wikipedia's speedy criterion G6 (non-controversial housekeeping).

If you did not intend to make a page move, then you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that looks like this: which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the article's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. An administrator will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. Thank you for your contributions. elektrik SHOOS 18:01, 1 June 2011 (UTC) reply

Hi Nj

You've got some great work going on your racehorse injuries article, but you have so many cites that you really do need to do them in the more correct formats with "ref" tags instead of being all inline cites. You will need to go through them and add at least minimal citation info, such as article title, or else they look pretty strange in the footnotes section (I did a couple for you, but I'm not going to go through 71 refs...) If you want to see ideal citation format syntax in action, look at how we did Thoroughbred, which is a featured article that has appeared on the main page. Anyway, just wanting to help, as it is clear that you are dedicated to having a well-referenced article. Montanabw (talk) 21:35, 23 June 2011 (UTC) reply

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
