I don't know what you know about Denmark but the kommuner (municipalities) are cleary distinct to the towns. The latest municipality reform made the municipalities of Denmark even bigger than before. Maybe compare it with New York and New York City. Can you please recreate my article Struer and Struer, Denmark including its history. To redirect UN/LOCODE:DKSTR to the municipality is absoltly wrong. I am seperating the twons etc from the municipalities especially for making good links for the UN/LOCODE. I don't know what you know about UN/LOCODE, but they are related to delivery of goods, so precision is important. LocodeMaster ( talk) 15:37, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

No worries. I used the Paquito article since it was more complete and the player's common name. However, you are correct that other footballers use the same name. It looks like we need an admin to move the page to Anderson Luiz Pinheiro. Best regards. Jogurney ( talk) 16:53, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Paolo Seppani, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's
criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "
What Wikipedia is not" and
Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{
dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on
its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. You must stop editing the Thiago Emiliano de Silva page. He is NOT signed with this club you mentioned, Tombense. In fact there are pictures with him with his Milan team mates on the official ACMilan.com website. The deal was signed. It's will be made official with Lega Calcio in the Summer of 2009, but he still did have the agreement. If you make any more malicious edits on this page, you will be reported. Dear Matthew,
I corrected all the info on behalf of Edgardo Simovic as he didn't know how to do it himself. The information there is very innacurate and it's causing him problems because teams think he hasn't played at all for the last two years. Also, he never played for Miramar Misiones, so the info were you are getting all these is completely wrong. You are saying he didn't play any games in most clubs, for example in Olimpia from Paraguay, if you look at the videos at www.edgardosimovic.com you will see that he played many games and scored many goals. Please change it back to what I sent you. The only correct info you have is the date of birth and height. You can reference the site to www.edgardosimovic.com

Hi there MATTHEW, VASCO from Portugal here,
About this article ( Vitor Hugo Gomes Passos) and the defaulsort, here are my thoughts: I changed the sortkey to PELE because that is how player is known, not by any of his surnames. So, when a person did a search in FC PORTO FOOTBALLERS, he would be where he should, in letter "P". As a matter of fact, you redirected it to PASSOS as first surname, which also begins with "P", but in many other cases it does not match.
Do not wish any edit wars, so i will leave it that way, but i think the defaultsort should contain the footballer's main name, even if it is a nickname.
You sent me this message and i answered, because i try my best to be polite. Almost two years ago, after being accused of adding defamatory info in this article (see the warning here, when i was anonymous http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:217.129.67.28#August_2007), i tried to contact you three times and received no answer. Could you please tell me why?

Hello Matthew. You requested an external source giving Dallku's name in its Serbo-Croat form. The situation is that his name is being given in Serbo-Croat to reflect its official spelling for the country in which he was born. It may seem political, but this form I am giving was the primary form in the former Yugoslavia; this is to do with the laws of the old country and its writing conventions. This is the key to the sources, and these things can be obtained by following the links for SFRY and related sources. These examples go far and wide and well beyond the world of football and they are remote from the Balkans. However, within the Balkans, I ask you to look at the following examples of non-Slavic persons born within the former Yugoslavia during its time: Arben Xhaferi, Hashim Thaci, Monica Seles, Nexhmije Pagarusha, Agim Ceku, Magdolna Rúzsa, Félix Lajkó Sylvester Levay, Zoltán Dani, Árpád Sterbik, István Pásztor, Sándor Páll, András Ágoston and József Kasza. Outside of the former Yugoslavia, the name of Kostas Novakis is given in Greek to reflect his national spelling despite being Slavic; away from the Balkans entirely, Jalal Talabani is given in Arabic for no other reason than he is born in Iraq, he is otherwise Kurdish. The list I could give you is endless. You're probably unaware that some time ago, I reached a compromise with an ethnic Albanian Wikipedian where-by we agreed to include a Serbo-Croat form for Albanians born in Yugoslavian Kosovo, but in Latinic only because of the absence of Cyrillic between 1974 and 1989. As you can see, I am adhering to this policy. I believe that the anonymous user who originally took issue with the name is not from Kosovo; it is clear from other edits attributed to the user, so this should cause no future porblems. In the meantime, if you wish to remove the Serbo-Croat name from any footballer born in Yugoslavia, please first remove the national but non-native variations from all those listed above and see whether it will stand; if you can amend Wikipedia practice, then I have no problem with that. But I have given you a handful from hundreds of thousands of examples across the site. Thank you. Evlekis ( talk) 19:39, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Also, if you insist on a source, here is one: [2], I should stress however, that this individual may have a different name form for many languages, but we don't list them all. No point adding it to the article because I am showing you this person to person. Regards. Evlekis ( talk) 19:48, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
I am sorry I was unable to find the style manual on football. I need a direct link. However, I have taken part in similar discussions before; they invariably discuss the article name where-as we are only debating whether or not to include certain content. I am not lobbying to have the brothers moved to titles reflecting their Turkish names, I am only ensuring that their Turkish names are on display. I am happy enough to see it moved farther down, such as in the personal background sections, but not taken out entirely. I feel I should draw your attention that to subscribe to this, you will be unwittingly contradicting yourself on your stand on Dallku, whose title name is based on his ethnic background and not his country of birth. On a free encyclopaedia, additional information should not cause offence. Evlekis ( talk) 20:11, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

Thank you for your attention and better luck next time.
