Dear MatthewVanitas,
I have seen that a modification was done to my recent article concerning Theresa Wong, and it bore the notice: "This sandbox is in the Wikipedia namespace. Either move this page into your userspace, or remove the {{ User sandbox}} template." I tried to do that, but I am not sure if I have done it right. My apologies if I did something wrong... I'm still new to the editing world in the Wikipedia, and learning something new every day. Thank you for your speedy response, MatthewVanitas,
Just before you submitted the message on the message, the article was declined. In fact, I did not know that there was a previous attempt in making the article of Theresa Wong, and that attempt was still available on the Wikipedia. Should I have known this, I would have definitely edited that earlier version. I think that what we need to make this article publishable is to have more reliable sources, and so my associate and I are on the quest to finding more reliable secondary sources. Thank you again for your kind comments and suggestions. All best, ChloeLeChien ( talk) 19:00, 29 November 2012 (UTC)
Apologies on the Theresa Wong (3) article. That must have been made when I misread the initial instruction which prompted me to write the first post on this talk page. I am not moving articles or creating new ones again, and I am putting the "db-self" mark on the Theresa Wong (3) article to avoid further confusion. Thanks much for your help on this article, as I saw the streamlining of the code for references. Best, ChloeLeChien ( talk) 20:32, 29 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi! I removed that question due to all the garbage the asker had added, but also due to the rather bitey replies that he was being given. It is my understanding that the Teahouse is to be an upbeat, positive, kind of place; a place that is encouraging and safe for new users to bring their questions. I do not disagree that the fella asking the questions needed a swift kick in the butt; I just feel it better for the new users coming to Teahouse that the kick in the butt be administered on his talk page as so not to frighten off others with questions that may be more receptive to a helping hand. You have been around a whole lot longer than I and of course, I will bow to whatever action you deem appropriate. I just wanted you to know why I did it. Gtwfan52 ( talk) 07:13, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
Just curious. I see as I delete the pages that when finding unacceptable pages in user sandboxes or elsewhere in user space,you first move them to AfC, and then immediately tag them for deletion. Why not simply add the tag immediately to the page where it is? There's probably a very good reason, & when I don't understand something I like to learn DGG ( talk ) 00:08, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
Hi, since we who have worked on the article have not been alerted, I thought I'd better let you know: this article is proposed for deletion, the discussion is taking place at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Badhan (blood donor organization). (P.S.: the original creator has been blocked for copyright violations, my guess is that they wrote the material and made the mistake of adding it to wikipedia as well). Matthew, you helped me with a page last month and I'm currently working on another in my Sandbox which isn't finished yet. Meanwhile, I would like your advice on the article for David Gandy. This article was flagged for several issues, primarily the overly-flowery/gushing word usage of a contributor. Over the last couple of months, several editors have neutralized the tone of the article to make it more objective. Most of my contributions have been in improving the sources and making the citation style more consistent. Can you please review the article and offer your recommendations? Thanks Kem05f ( talk) 18:34, 1 December 2012 (UTC)
Update: it appears another editor has worked on the article and done some clean-up. He/she has removed a couple of the alerts at the top. I would still welcome your perspective on the article, if/when you have the time. Thx. Kem05f ( talk) 17:44, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

Those things that don't really make sense but have loads of links in the middle of sentences are just real spam - possibly bot generated and/or posted. I delete them on site and block as advertising only account, with an IP block built in. They come back with new names, but the IP block might slow them down. I really could use help with subheadings. If you are unable, please point me in the direction necessary. Again, thank you
L,S,A. 01:57, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
==Materials==
Would create a section-heading called "Materials". If you want a sub-section, do the same but with "===" on either side of the title instead. Only use sub-sections within a larger section.
So far as the rest, you really need to take at least a look at
WP:LEDE, which explains how to write a lead section to the article. This is not a magazine article where you need to "whet the reader's appetite". The first paragraph should be a very factual and clear statement along the lines of (kind of made-up example):
The Badding rug is a work of needlepoint textile completed by So-and-So in 1951 in City, State, United States. The work was described as the "Something Something of All Time" by the Textile Association of America, and was composed of 1,000 skeins of Damascus yarn in 483 colors, featuring a design based on the 1838 painting Washington Crossing the Delaware. This work was donated to the Lighthouse Foundation of America for their 1952 fundraise, in a ceremony presided over by First Lady Elizabeth Eisenhower.
See the idea? You want to give the most basic and important facts about the article in the Lede; so if someone read just the lede and nothing else, they'd have a pretty good idea of the who/what/when/where/why of the Badding rug, and why it's significant and worth having an article about.
The main thing you need to address is the WP:Footnoting. The guideline WP:CITEHOW may be helpful, but essentially you need to take the footnotes you current have at the bottom of the page, and place them just after the sentence/paragraph they support. The idea being that for any given claim, the reader can refer to the footnote and say "Ah, here is the article I would read to prove that, indeed, in 1952 Badding did indeed make that public statement." Makes sense?
I've made a few suggested changes, so look those over, do what you can, and then post back here and I can give you more feedback. MatthewVanitas ( talk) 03:21, 11 December 2012 (UTC)
Hello, I apologize for duplicating the text of my article, which happened by accident. I can re-submit it once again in a proper format. A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of multiple published secondary sources which are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject.

Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thx. Kem05f ( talk) 17:44, 5 December 2012 (UTC)

talk) 16:57, 7 December 2012 (UTC)Any you find like that - don't bother moving them. Just tag them spam where they are.
==Materials==
The only difference between the latest version and the original one is that the latest version has had the reference section beefed up. can I ask you how can i make the information reliable without reference, the thing is that i'm trying to publish information about my father (who was a great painter) what reference can i submit here. there isn't anything online about him — Preceding unsigned comment added by Makhomakho ( talk • contribs) 20:35, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has been the subject of multiple published secondary sources which are reliable, intellectually independent of each other, and independent of the subject.
it does answer my question. and one more question: I have old newspapers with the articles about him. so is it ok if i attach those articles as a reference? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Makhomakho ( talk • contribs) 21:29, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
ok. you know the problem is that the newspapers i've got are too old and I'm afraid there are no dates and names what I need right now. these articles are just cut from the newspapers ... I don't think that I need any copyright licence I was thinking just to scan those articles as a proof for my article. the material is too old (published before USSSR collapsed. So I think I have problems with licenses. Maybe you can give me any other option to publish his biography. I also want to insert the paintings. maybe you can give me any idea what to do... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Makhomakho ( talk • contribs) 22:06, 14 December 2012 (UTC)
yes i'm going to produce the Russian and Georgian version of it if I manage to publish it in English.... too many sources needed the materials are old and it's very difficult to find what is written about him and where it's written... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Makhomakho ( talk • contribs) 22:11, 14 December 2012 (UTC)

Some days ago, you made some cleanup edits on a new article, St. George Orthodox Church, Chathannoor. The article had previously been tagged as a likely copyvio by a bot. In your edits, you removed that bot tag, but did not in fact remove the offending text. Was that just an oversight? Fut.Perf. ☼ 10:59, 19 December 2012 (UTC)
I think it's a good idea all-together, and the thing is I didn't discuss at all because I didn't expect anyone to respond, but I guess you have. I think musicologically it makes sense, the only problem is that on the other languages wikis it translate pump organ to harmonium, whereas in english that usually refers to the indian instrument.
