You may be perfectly right in what you say, but I know too little about the subject matter to weigh in. Could you go to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Molecular and Cell Biology, start a new section about it, and hear what other editors in the Project thinks about renaming the article to TANGO1? Please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
