Wikipedia is not a billboard

Hello, Manik762007! Welcome to Wikipedia.

Since you're so new around here I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I saw that you had signed up and, within the space of 20 minutes, had placed 10 "External Links" to your own web site (or something close to it) on free servers that generate lots of junky pop-up windows. You didn't write a single word in any of the edit summary boxes. So I undid all your changes (except at Algorithm, where someone else beat me to it) because they constitute advertising. Wikipedia is not a billboard.

Please make constructive edits. Please do not try to use Wikipedia as your personal advertising service. Please summarize your edits in the "edit summary" box. If you have questions, feel free to post them on my talk page. Thanks! DavidCBryant 13:12, 14 February 2007 (UTC) reply

Hello again!

Thank you for writing to my talk page. I invited you to ask questions. You did ask one question ("How your calling it Advertising?"). I called your SPAM "advertising" because that's more polite than calling it SPAM.

Please read WP:SPAM and try to adhere to it. That's an official policy of Wikipedia. Also, please sign your messages with four tildes, like this, ~~~~, when you write to me, or to anyone else. This is a community, and people here really are friendly. But there are some rules. Oh – you also said "I added my original contents for the world to view". Perhaps you should also read WP:NOR and WP:COI. If you want to create links to your own external web pages, please put them on your own user page and not in a Wikipedia article somewhere. Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Software reproduction) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. CountingPine ( talk) 18:20, 23 November 2007 (UTC) reply

Additions of http://.neutech.co.in

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that exist to attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policies for further explanations of links that are considered appropriate. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Speedy deletion nomination of Neutech

A tag has been placed on Neutech, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{ hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
