Fiorentino is the acknowledged lighting design pioneer in the early years of television. I footnoted all the claims to demonstrate that indeed this is what his peers also claim him to be. During the seventies and eighties his production company was the largest in supplying television lighting designers and equipment packages for all the major specials and variety shows besides the sitcoms. This was all headed up by Fiorentino. But since this is an article on Fiorentino and not his company, that I left out. Looking up other individual pages, similar claims are made to their descriptions and are not footnoted, such as the one for I.M. Pei being a "master". If you know of his work, of course it is a factual claim, but if you are not familiar with an individual such as Fiorentino, then such claims may not seem appropriate. I understood that and that is why it is footnoted. MaddyStephens ( talk) 17:33, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
