Hi Lauren,
I have read some of the research literature on psychological or emotional neglect and I find the Wikipedia articles, particularly "Neglect" and "Child neglect" are very lacking. I would have expanded the articles myself, however I'm unable to as English is not my first language among other reasons. Please take a look at the discussion pages for those two articles. Please improve them if you can.
