Encyclopeidas are meant to be informative and give out accurate representations of historical and current events they are not supposed to give a briefs summary of what has happened and are not supposed to misinform the reader of what is occuring or has occured. as the encyclopedia is an online encyclopedia space is not an issue as it would be for other encyclopedias such as the encyclopedia britannica. so your sliiming doiwn of all pages is loonacy and without merit or bases
this is beyond personal i respect nothing you do you want the worst of the worst on the internet and this is your way to prevent the truth about what happened form being ther you want to standardize and remove information from an encyclopedia the whole point of an encyclopedia is to be informative and give all the information. Lucy-Marie, after I declined a request to fully-protect some of the Robot Wars pages, told me on my talk page that she "will not instagate a new round of this war".
Given this, do you think you could make a similar pledge not to restart the edit war in return until the dispute is resolved? Both of you seem to be willing to take steps towards that even if the form of dispute resolution hasn't been fixed yet. -- Sam Blanning (talk) 13:42, 30 May 2006 (UTC)
Hi folks. Lucy-Marie has asked for my help with resolving the dispute over the Razer (robot) article. As a first step, please could you post a brief summary of your view on the disagreement on the 2006-05-30 Razer (Robot) mediation page so I can get a feel for where the situation lies. Thanks for that edit. I'm not adding it to pages yet, just so I could revisit in a week or so after I started it, and see what it lacked. You filled a LOT of holes in the template. If you want to start adding it, go for it. I modelled it on the Template:Superman. ThuranX 01:00, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Please leave the DVD covers. They show the easiest way for contemporary audiences to view the films. The posters provide no familiarity. Since these films are not modern, the most appropriate images are the DVD covers. -- CmdrClow 05:08, 21 September 2006 (UTC)

I think parody sections are irrevelant to the article. That, and stuff like webcomics are not relevant enough to be featured in an article. And if anything, it'd be better suited to Billy's article.-- CyberGhostface 13:33, 11 November 2006 (UTC)

I saw you nominated Borat for assessment as a good article. I posted some comments on the talk page of the Borat article. - Ilse @ 13:12, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm sure those images are ok (there were about 20 of them in total, not just the bill skins fifth one). I took those images myself. Didn't steal them from anywhere at all. -- Thaddius 00:30, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
When it comes to those images, I understand your concerns about fair use, yet many have criticized those influences points as unprovable without images as PresidentEvil's study guide on gamefaqs (where most of these points are listed) has been rejected as a source many-a-time. This is my effort to keep SOME of these points alive and well as I feel they are interesting and significant to the game article. If the influences page DOES end up being deleted I will be forced to move most of those points back into the SH page, but severely cut down as no one wants another list there. Right now I'm caught between numerous editors on both sides criticizing both having the influences on the main SH1 page and the influences as their own page. There really is no 'win-win' situation for all these people. Either the points stay off of wikipedia, or one of these two groups is going to be disappointed.
As for images from SH2, I am getting all these images from SH1 using a PSX emulator and sadly SH2 is for PS2, not PSX\PS1, so I cannot guarantee my ability to get those images for you. I can TRY if you want cause there are PS2 emulators, but the chances of there beings graphics glitches are much higher (you'll notice that two of my SH1 images are rather buggy looking while others are almost too crisp for the PSX hardware). Again if you want me to look into it, I can, but I'll have to get back to you on it. -- Thaddius 15:47, 23 January 2007 (UTC)
I'm sure that's a viable source because it's IGN. There are those that might be a little uppity since IGN has made mistakes in the past, but I won't contest it. -- Thaddius 17:49, 20 January 2007 (UTC)
Can't get it for you man. SH2 does not work on the emulator. Best I could do was find Image:Nursedemon.jpg image that was already uploaded and on the SH creatures page. I'll let you know if I find anything else though. -- Thaddius 02:29, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
I hacked my own part to it and tried to clean up some of the references and misplaced in-line citations. I removed one bit in the influences section because the article was no longer live. The reaction section still needs some expansion. The best thing I can do is point you to other reception sections - check out MGS3's reception section - it's expanded and describes in a couple of paragraphs what the reviewers liked and didn't like. I also wrote the reception section for Super Princess Peach, which passed GA a few months ago. Hbdragon88 22:12, 25 January 2007 (UTC)

Hi. You added Tony Blair to the list of real people appearing in fictional context, which is very well, but one entry was the movie The Queen. I haven't seen that movie, but I was under the impression that it was not a fictional story but a dramatization of actual events following the death of Princess Diana. If so, it should not be listed on the list of real people appearing in fictional context. What's your impression of the movie? John Anderson 12:37, 5 February 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Category:Enemies of Batman, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article is a repost of either already posted material, or of material that was previously deleted in a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Category:Enemies of Batman is different from all other articles, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{ hangon}} underneath the other template on the article, and also put a note on [[Talk:Category:Enemies of Batman]] saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. I have added a "{{ prod}}" template to the article Fahrenheit 451 (2007 film), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also " What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. Hello,
I came across some of your remarkably efficient work while helping another editor. I'd like to take a moment to encourage you to, when tagging articles under WP:CSD, please consider that new pages are just that -- new pages. Sometimes the author may need more than five minutes to establish notability or context, especially if they are new to Wikipedia.
Your desire to keep Wikipedia tidy is commendable. Thanks for also considering how policy can seem to WP:BITE new editors, potentially depriving Wikipedia of valuable future contributions.
Cheers, — Adrian~enwiki ( talk) 2007-02-17 11:06Z

You asked, "why didn't this page have an actual gameplay section before this point?" My guess is that some editors were more concerned with putting in as much criticism of the game as possible, and others (admittedly, that includes myself) were more concerned with balancing out that criticism. Of course, your question was probably rhetorical and you weren't really looking for an answer. ;) Jinxmchue 14:21, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

L&M, what more "scientific evidences" do you need? The movie is not filmed in Kazakhstan (actualy its filmed in Romania); the music has absolutely no connection to Kazakh music (what Brega or Esma or Kocani Orkestar or Bijelo Dugme have to do with Kazakhstan?! They probably didnt have a clue where this country is until the movie came out); not a single word of Kazakh language is spoken in the movie instead they speak in Hebrew, Polish, Romanian, Armenian and what not, only not Kazakh); even Sacha doesn't look like a typical Kazakh men at all. The authors of this movie didnt bother with such geographical, ethnological or antropological details. its all one big joke.

Sorry for the late reply, but first, I would like to thank you for your contributions in improving the SH2 article. I have completed the rest series so I can provide you with whatever information you would deem necessary in upgrading the article's quality. The best choice, in my opinion, is to gradually progress through the pages chronologically. It would obviously be best to go through the articles in which we already have sources available to make them better and not focus on those that haven't been released as of the moment, but I can understand if one wants to make Origins an exception since it is nearing release and, thus, may attract interest from fellow readers. May I suggest this as an acceptable list to follow by?
The Silent Hill movie article looks excellent and appears to be on par with other theatrical film pages, while I believe SH5, Arcade, and SH2 film have to wait before more details can be added to further their contents. I'll probably list possible changes on each individual talk page to prevent from being tedious with suggestions and cluster the discussion with text. Forgive the rambling, but give me your thoughts on this whenever you get the opportunity. Thanks for your time.
I looked at the Silent Hill 2 article and everything seems expertly written and well arranged. The only thing that most are probably requesting is more citations (which in my opinion deteriorates the quality). However, I'll see what I can do based from the discussions on the 'Talk' page. I'm rather rusty at the moment so please bare with me. ( Godzilla ( talk) 01:02, 19 November 2007 (UTC))

Hello. I took a look at the article today which I worked on some time ago - I've basically retired from WP for the time being - and I believe the second paragraph which described the film in the lead was less accurate than the old paragraph. So I reinserted the old one. Feel free to consider or amend this at will. But I felt that the new paragraph just didn't correctly capture Curtis's thesis.
Regarding the GA failure, it was a bizarre travesty of a review that should be disregarded. To fail on such a clueless set of points is annoying and frustrating I know. What on earth was he thinking? I'd keep pushing forward and ask for more reviewers.-- Zleitzen (talk) 01:22, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

I don't think the image is replaceable (at the moment) because of all the tight security and that they would probably not want anyone to take photos at the moment. However, 3 or 4 months down the line, a photo may appear on a website like Flickr or something. I uploaded it mainly because I couldn't find any other photos of Benoit's house - I only found that one. Thanks for your concerns anyway. Davnel03 07:23, 30 July 2007 (UTC)

This site covers dialouge and memos throghout the games. i use it for a quick in game reference. Right before the mall shifts to the otherworld Heather meets Claudia for the first time and says "Claudia: Remember me, and your true self as well, also that which you must become. The one who will lead us to Paradise with blood stained hands." but no where yet does she mention birthing God. Its not until Heather comes home from the insurance building to see her murdered father, she runs up the stairs and her and Claudia says to her "Claudia: You will birth a God and build an eternal Paradise." Later Heather goes to Silent Hill to chase Claudia down for the murder of her father. She finally meets Claudia at the church, theres alot of dialoge here but I'll try to sum it up.. Claudia mentions that the world Alessa wanted is nearly here, Heather comments its not what she wants.. Claudia says "Not you, Your true self" refering to Alessa. Heather's tone changes and she begins to say "Oh but I am Alessa" and she starts saying things like she doesn't need another world.. Claudia comments" But you said it yourself. The world must first be cleansed with fire." Claudia after some dialouge reveals the plans of God: "Claudia: I wish only for the salvation of mankind.
Claudia: But for that to happen, the world must first be remade.
Claudia: And for that we need God."
Lastly in the conlusion w/ Heather & Claudia: "Claudia: Alessa, I’m saddened that you didn’t agree to this on your own.
Claudia: But I thank you for nurturing God with all the hate in your heart.
Claudia: It’s time for Mankind to be released from the shackles
of sin that bind them.
[....]
Claudia: Why do you reject God’s mercy?
Claudia: Why do you cling to this corrupt world? You know that only God can save us.
Heather: And save you too? Happy ending?
Heather: I’d rather go to Hell.
Claudia: No, I don’t expect to be saved.
Claudia: That’s fine.
Claudia: Alessa, my dearest...
Claudia: For the pain I’ve caused you, I deserve no mercy.
Claudia: Even if it was to save mankind, it was too deep a sin.
Claudia: It was hubris for me to try to hasten the day of Her arrival.
[...]
Claudia: Just accept it, Alessa.
Claudia: The pain will dissapear.
Claudia: Oh, I’ve been waiting so long for this.
Claudia: Even as a child I saw the coming of this day.
Claudia: I knew that I would be a witness to it, Judgment Day"
As you can see there is much Christianity in Claudia's beliefs. She thinks that after Heather births God than the world will be cleansed by fire, all of humanity sins will be cleansed and ppl will be judged, but Claudia doesn't believe she will be saved. She kills Harry to fill Heather's heart w/ hatred to "nurture" God. God isn't mentioned as being 'rebirthed' per se, but it is as though it will be her "first" or "second" birth from the dogma. It also seems that before Alessa was burned in that ritual and admitted to the hospital that she wanted to give birth to God, as Claudia still believes Alessa does. But her feelings mustv'e changed during that 7 year time frame and Alessa probaly wasn't in contact w/ Claudia during that time. To further it the God Claudia births looks like Alessa before she was burned when she was 7, not the long haired Alessa from 1.
Maybe the events in one weren't considered totally "God"? I do know that Vincent mentions that Claudia was brainwashed by that "crazy, old hag" when refering to Dahlia as Heather/Alessa's mother. Anyways I hope this helps.

Thanks. We've had problems in the past w/ LM. Particurly the Valtiel page, which now that i think about it needs updating. I think its alright to have some editer who knows Japanese translate it, as long as they also have the original material in given language to compare and cite, but I know most SH editers just take from that fan source. OV Also... do you think there is more than 1 form of "T"? cos origonaly it took days before becomin zombies, first developing blisters, which become Buboes, which then pop and the flesh around them rott and fall off. in the other games, the don't feel anything and then get weaker + weaker and then have a fealing theyre gona be sick then transform (or if you're too injured to survive long enough for that: "die" (actualy stopping the heart and then take over the brain and then restart the heart)). -- OV
My spamming sense is tingling. It seems User:Genepooldesign was created just to spam for her (assuming) "publication", North Texas Journal. I notice that after her only edits were made to spam its website and article. In addition, the person removed the notability tag you placed on the North Texas Journal. I re-input the notability tag because I don't think it is either. (notable, of course) -- Souphanousinphone 22:37, 5 August 2007 (UTC)

Defenately. I've seen bunches of anime character lists, & if its a big enough series it includes another article on minor characters. (Not that SH2 has those) I think there are snippets of small info that could be added. Like Laura's VA (Which Idk anyway lol) & I do believe James's job was as a clerk. The references are really good, great work! Xuchilbara 20:47, 9 August 2007 (UTC)

I added to the Maria and PH sections. I tried to go in depth explanation about the Ph's origins and reason for existence. As for Maria i added a bunch of Born from a wich senerio stuff. (I saw you mentioned Ernest but not Maria really) I think the references to it needs tidying up, but I don't feel like doing it right now, I might fix those later tho.

Hi. I read your reply on the Titanic Images ( Titanic DVD releases) and I mainly disagree with what you said. I would, however, not mind if Image:Titanicde.jpg is removed from the page, and Image:Titanicse.jpg replaces it. I couldn't find a good image for the 4-disc set anyway, so I guess this could do for both. If you want me to remove the cover for the 5-Disc set, I'll do so. Please see the page again and tell me if you like it. Limetolime 18:58, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
Right now, I'm mightly backed up. I'm peer reviewing Bianca Montgomery and Maggie Stone, while at the same time trying to turn Smallville (season 2), and Smallville (season 3) into pages that resemble my work on season 1. I'm also rewriting the Michael Myers page in my sandbox, and dealing with a FAR for the featured article Andrew Van De Kamp. I'll try and look over the page some, but my best advice is to study the Jason article, structure wise. I see that for the most part it is there already. I can tell you that the two images in the appearance section won't hold up, because they're simply eye candy. We know what he looks like in the films. Isn't there a comic book or other literature on him? I could have sworn there was some prequel information in another medium. I'd try and look for that type of stuff. I would look at Wikipedia:Citation templates, because some of the references are just web links. The "Bell on Jigsaw" stuff seems to be all about characterization, so it should be there. I'd try and look for web sources on how they cast Bell and whatnot. If I can, I'll see if the DVDs I own have anything about the creation of Jigsaw, or anything else that is useful for the article. I might just write everything down, this way the film articles can benefit from them as well. I don't know when that will be, because, as I said, I'm kind of backed up right now with a lot of other projects. BIGNOLE (Contact me) 19:12, 16 August 2007 (UTC)

Welcome to the second issue of the WikiProject Saw's newsletter! Use this newsletter as a mechanism to inform yourselves about progress at the project and please be inspired to take more active roles in what we do. It's now "Saw Weekend" and Saw IV has been out for a couple of days now. (If you haven't seen it, don't worry, I won't spoil anything for you.) Because of this, a lot of the articles are probably going to need a bit of work. I'll go into more detail on other various sections. All in all, a lot of the 'challenges' from last month's newsletter are still here. Since the release of IV will probably be the last major release of info at least until next year's V we could probably just try to improve the information we already have. We would encourage all members to get more involved and if you are wondering what with, please ask. CyberGhostface 18:17, 29 October 2007 (UTC) |

At the Saw series template another user thinks that Kerry should be on the template (and probably get her own article, although he/she hasn't specified that yet) because she's been in all the movies thus far. Please refrain from undoing other people's edits repeatedly, as you are doing at "Manos" The Hands of Fate. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. Rather than reverting, discuss disputed changes on the talk page. The revision you want is not going to be implemented by edit warring. Thank you. John254 00:54, 31 December 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading Image:Boratreg1scan.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

Hello, this is a message from
an automated bot. A tag has been placed on

Thanks for removing the "poor ref". I actually reserved a meeting with the runners of the Calgary Highlanders Archives for this weekend, so I should be able to find the ref very soon.

I wasn't sure if it was appropriate, but wouldn't the wording for unreleased films at WP:NF, a guideline, take precedent over the merge discussion?

I heard that the fan transaltion has mistakes, and I know for a fact that Another Crimson Tome is filled w/ translation mistakes & thats not a source that we want to make wikipedia look bad.

Erm...what was the point in merging a large article with a stub and not putting the large files info in the stub? also you should have rather talked it over before moving T-Virus to Fictional Viruses in Resident Evil. OV Also... do you think there is more than 1 form of "T"? cos origonaly it took days before becomin zombies, first developing blisters, which become Buboes, which then pop and the flesh around them rott and fall off. in the other games, the don't feel anything and then get weaker + weaker and then have a fealing theyre gona be sick then transform (or if you're too injured to survive long enough for that: "die" (actualy stopping the heart and then take over the brain and then restart the heart)). -- OV

Hi. I read your reply on the Titanic Images ( Titanic DVD releases) and I mainly disagree with what you said. I would, however, not mind if Image:Titanicde.jpg is removed from the page, and Image:Titanicse.jpg replaces it.
