Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Translation etiquette

Please see the guidelines on not signing your translations with you own name here. You will also find a complaint about your ability to translate at Talk:Kim_Sowol. While editing Wikipedia is open to all, a linguistic competence greater than your own is needed for translation and it would be more helpful if you located an already existing translation. Mzilikazi1939 ( talk) 14:56, 23 January 2016 (UTC) reply

I see you have deleted the valid source of a poem provided for Cho Chi-hun and have done so pretending it is only a minor edit. That too is against Wikipedia guidelines. You seem to have a WP:OWN problem. If you are unprepared to discuss the question of providing acceptable translations here and carry on with what is in essence vandalism, I shall have to report your behaviour. I do not wish to offend any one's feeling, yet I should not spoil the works of original writers, including Sowol Kim, Yoon Dong-Ju, Seo Jung-JU, Cho Chi-hun, Han Youngwoon, Kim Youngnang. I have been polishing over the 3 years all those gem-like poems representative of Korea in her awakening period. I have to admit that I was not aware of author etiquette?, but has been on the page for years. it is a real etiquette before anyone erase my version of poems without any words. I have lived in Korea for the past 30 years, and another 30 years here in the U.S. As a physician, I encountered many occasions that Americans in general, westerners in general have no clue of Koreans at all, in terms of how we feel, what is our background etc. I realized they do not have any good windows through which they can see through the Korean art and literature. Particularly literature part. There are many attempts, but since we have such different langusge, literally impossible to impose ours too much.
The only option left is "how are we fitting our literature work, particularly poems, to their format to the best we can as far as not spoiling original work?" This is essential for their understanding. We have to use the format and words for English translation of poems. I admit I erased, for no one is going to pay attention on that level of words display. We cannot move the readers in English, as the poets wish to intend. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Leedynamo ( talkcontribs)

If you have been "on the page for years" then it is high time that you were aware of even the simplest WP guidelines...like, for instance, signing your user name and the date by typing in four tildes (eg ~~) on talk pages (but NOT on contributions to articles). Again, when you make a reply, you inset it by using a colon at the head of the paragraph(s). And in addition, when you make corrections to articles, especially major ones like a deletion, you must give a reason for that change in the edit summary at the bottom of the page. Something else that would be useful for you is to use the Sandbox (which you will find in the menu at the head of your user page) and not move your contribution from there until you are confident that it is properly finished. Your fiddling with small changes to translations over the course of 18 months only gives readers an impression of incompetence, quite apart from your obviously imperfect use of English even after a 30-year residence in the USA.

I sympathise with your wish to have Korean culture better represented on WP but I do assure you, as a successful translator of poetry for some 50 years, that you are going about it in entirely the wrong way. Two other editors at least have indicated their frustration at your practice on talk pages. It suggests, doesn't it, that a little self-searching is called for on your part.
